Managed to get the stew going -that took a while!! But, I'm still not s2s so guess that's next and make the bed. I did get the fridge straightened while I was getting out things for the stew. At least dinner is 'ready' -well at least it's cooking and that's 1/2 the battle.

May take a run over to dd's MH and see about blankets and pillows rather than waiting for dh to put the bed up. I'll see what transpires this morning. He may be home from golfing by the time I'm ready to do that anyway.

DPC up for me too, this morning, Harriet. Will do that soon. I do need to find out when dh's cardiology appointment is. It would be just like me to book mine when he already has one.

Had to do a store run yesterday b/c H. is made sandwiches they take turns once a mo. doing 'em for the guys it's his turn ham was up for the choice this mo. I had to help him slice tomatoes and put pickles on. Next time he will have to slice up the meat etc. ahead of time or get up earlier he said. The quick breads are ccame in handy that I made the other day to go with but he forgot the fruit plums from the tree I had out for him to take.

Yesterday I picked black berries! Got them washed and put up in the deep freezer.

TADA -
** LO delivered to school along with 2 extra bags for his snack day.
** yard mowed. more truthful description.....yard dirt thrown up into the air while driving around cutting the tops off weeds.... The grass is mostly dead. It's hard to have a yard of grass during exceptional drought.

Next up is window rod installation. *POOF*

Good morning!

It was nice to see Ivy here yesterday. I am enjoying all the new people who recently showed up. Oh, still miss the ones who don't come often enough..and Indiana of course. Kathryn, your email came early yesterday, thank you that was nice.

Ok, now I'll have to google kookaburras and see what Lynlee was talking about!
Dee, don't work yourself to a frazzle with your company.
Booksaver, I hope your job as treasurer goes smoothly and doesn't take up too much of your time.

I woke up before the alarm this morning. Pleasantly surprised to find I wasn't groggy and tired after the day I put in yesterday. Maybe I am getting better. I do know getting that one dr. appointment straightened out was a huge relief and a big problem off my mind.

Boy, OKay, sure wish your state could get some rain.
Nancy, I wish the guys dh works with would chip in and make lunch! I've not been making DH's lunches..I needed a break from all that, and he doesn't do it if I don't.

I am trying to dig out the mess on my desk. Had to come take care of an email first so here I am! Better get back to it there is a lot on my l i s t today.

editing: I looked up kookaburras and found a you t ube video from the Cincinnati Zoo...unbelievably loud birds. Every time I clicked on it I got a different video of that bird making a very loud racket! I can't imagine having birds like that around.

Good Morning! :D

It'll be about 85* and sunny here today. DH is getting ready to get firewood with his friend, for the winter, until noon or 1 p.m.

My stomach's acting up this morning, so don't feel 100%. :| So plan on doing less today. Want to write a letter to a new pen pal, do laundry, read, and there's 1 job I need to get done, which I might tackle today in baby-steps. In my spare room is a desk, with craft stuff on the right side drawers. It's a mess. DH had bought new Ziploc plastic containers, wanted to throw out ALL the old ones! :!:  I told him to give me the better-looking ones, with lids, so I can use them as drawer organizers in the desk in the spare room. Might tackle that job. :?:

Need to tidy up the dining room table. I put pen palling papers, magazine cut-outs, to use as envelope stuffers for pen pals, on the table. I'M the messy one in this house! I'm like a little kid so go after myself to put away what I get out, as soon as I can.

My TA-DA:

- shower, shampoo
- dirty clothes to utility room basket
- made the bed
- did 1 email to give my morning greeting to a friend
- chatted with DH before he leaves

- wrote in my journal
- watched the morning news

Booksaver, Charity sewing sounds like a worthwhile thing to do.

Harriet, It's nice to meet you, too.

Scattered I hope your son's glasses situation works out.

Twins' Mom, Your list sounds like your laundry room and nook shelves will add a lot of organization to your house. Will it?

DeeClutter I've never heard of a built in cursor. :?: Is the 'birthing day' for dShelley, for a baby or an animal? I'm new here, so I don't know. Pardon about the questions.

I'm running off to go chat with DH before he heads out the door. I shall return when I get some things done. :D

Have a Super Friday!

Questions are absolutely okay, Ivy (welcome btw!) :D DShelley was our youngest daughter -she passed away from Sleep Apnea in 2009. Her birthday is today. Most laptops have a built in 'pointer/cursor' below the space bar. And for whatever reason lately mine is seeming to turn itself on. Sometimes when it's on and I don't know it -the heel of my hand hits it and wipes out an entire post.
Dee, don't work yourself to a frazzle with your company.
Absolutely am not doing that, Harmony. Just doing puttery things this morning -the usual morning routine. Biggest was getting the stew going. Do have to do dishes at some point.

Just finished redoing my table/desk area. Will have to move the printer & other 'stuff' to eat, but it's not bad.

DeeClutter, I'm sorry for your loss of DShelley. How old was she when she passed away? Do you make her birthday a Special day?

I, too, have the built-in cursor, but I got a wireless mouse for the laptop, which works great. Sorry you're having that problem wiping out your posts! Frustrating! :o Enjoy your company, too! :)

My Ta Dah:

- tidied the dining room table up
- took recycle out
- put the new 2013 wall calendar away
- started a load of laundry
- tidied up the eating bar
- put away 7 wedding anniversary cards, which were on the eating bar
- emptied and loaded the DW
- cleaned all the kitchen counters :D

I'm taking a coffee break right now, as I listen to morning news and my cat's being an inquisitive cat today.

Hi Ladies
Getting on late today, took some aspirin and laid back down after getting the girls on the bus, basic monthly 24 hours feel bad
Waiting for DFIL to arrive, he and Dh are going to take down the bunk/storage bed in 8's room and move it/reassemble it in the twins room, he will help Dh with a few other odd jobs, I need to pack the girls bags, as he is taking them to Dbro's farm for the weekend..Happy Dance :D
Thinking Dh and I might have dinner out and then do the grocery shopping afterwards, fun date nite huh ;)
So notice No L~~~, it is short and sweet, just the Friday basics, Dh deserves some free time, so after the bed is assembled and his Ddad is gone, he can become a slug on the couch.
Need to get moving..Hope everyone has a Gread Day
