We've watched Zookeeper on TV and liked it a lot.

OKay, BWTG getting those curtains altered. That sounds like a big job.

Scattered, so sorry to read your job news. Maybe something good will come of this change; anyway, so far you aren't left with nothing.

Kathryn, how long will it take you to get your photos organized? I haven't done any since before we moved here, almost 4 years now I think. I have a huge basket of photos. I have determined that I can't keep up with albums, and have no place to put big albums anyway. So I have a few of those nice photo boxes and I plan to put them in there with index tabs to mark years / holidays, etc. It is a project for 2012 after I finish my quilts. If I ever do.

Harriet, I talked with the Dr. about those lawsuits. The one about jaw tumors is misrepresented. She says all the people who got that were on chemotherupy. My DFriend from church tells me her DMother had slight dementia, though not too bad, and she broke her hip and went in for an operation. She came out of the operation a changed woman, with mental problems so much worse and drs. told my friend that was caused by the anesthesia and is quite common. Her life was never the same. For this reason she has decided to take those meds. The natural soy one did nothing for her. I hate medicines, but I am seriously considering it now.

I've been going back and forth to my desk, finding other chores and projects neglected for too long. The office looks better too. DH mentioned he had a place to spread out his papers and work for a change. I cannot just work on stuff non-stop like I used to, still must take breaks, but slowly I am getting stuff done.

Well... I am glad it's Friday... even if tomorrow will start at  4:30 a.m. for me. All in the name of college football, of all things. * sigh * The things we do for love.
I imagine I will sleep all the way there, b/c dbil is going with us and he will help dh with the driving. All I have to do is s2s and get in the car.
I think I am going to bed SOON, however. I am worn out!

Today was a pretty good day, and I just keep trudging along, doing each item on my list as I can, and adding things as I must, and I think I am slowly getting closer to the point of feeling I am "caught up." Of course, school work is just like housework; you never really finish. Once you get all your papers graded, then you have more assignments to grade. It never ends.

Then this afternoon, I was at the 10-minute oil change place and got to talking to an older man who said he was recently retired and he wished he had kept working, that retirement was "boring."
I said, "Oh, don't tell me that! I'm planning to retire at the end of the year."
* sigh * Y'all KNOW how much I need to hear things that make me doubt... but * sheesh * at this point, I don't know what dh would do with me if I changed my mind... or what ds and ddil would do. I don't think I'll have a chance to get bored. Of course, ddil may not get accepted into nursing school... they may feel they cannot afford it right now... who knows what the future holds?
I do feel little twinges though in myself of being more accepting of what the future holds. I am finally beginning to sense a little bit stronger faith in myself -- if ddil does not get into nursing school, then it is God's plan that she stay home a little longer with ds... if they struggle financially, then it is God's plan to push ds into whatever direction he needs to be moving... if I have to do more with my ddad and help out more w/dparents' health concerns, then it is God's plan that we need this time together...
Don't get me wrong -- I have not yet arrived -- a full-blown panic attack with nausea and cold chills could be lurking right around the corner... but I am pressing on toward the mark, and I think I am seeing progress.
I hope Indiana would be proud of me.
Tomorrow is another day.

I was posting and left my nearly-finished post, to light a candle, and when I came back, my post had gone "poof"!

scattered, Sorry to hear about your job.

lucylee You'll sure be up early! :o

Harmony I don't think we've seen Zookeeper. :?:

Kathryn How many scrapbook albums have you completed? I started 1, but never finished it.

ellyphant We haven't seen "My Week with Marilyn." I'm glad it was good. I believe we've seen "Larry Crowne" though.

Lynlee I loved singing the kookaburras song in grade school. :D

Dove I'm new here, so don't know where your laptop is. Is it being worked on?

Cowinkie Isn't retirement quieter when school's back in session? It's that way for us. No grandkids visiting. It's quiet! They stayed 31 days this summer; 1 for 1 week and 2 for 1 week, back and forth in July and August. Missing them.

SuzLew It's great that acupuncture helps!

I got out a file box, my old cards, am thinking about re-doing my cards in the morning. DH is watching baseball, I had to send a thinking of you card to a new widow friend and answer another letter. I have 1 more, but she can wait until this weekend. I'm winding down for the night. Good TGIF night, Everyone. :D Goodnight.
