Sunday Shuffle, Swoop & Swing

Post by BookSaver »

Good morning, villagers ~
I'm inventing a new dance for Sunday.

Shuffle step into a room,
Swoop down on clutter, &
Swing it to its proper place!

Choose your own music style to start the rhythm.
At the moment, I'm thinking up-tempo 1940s Big Band.
Later in the day, after my back loosens up, I can switch to a Santana or Gloria Estefan salsa or cha cha.

I'm awake but I have to get out of bed now and get ready for church.

Dh is doing the music in both churches this morning so has already headed off for the first service. I need to be on the front porch, waiting for him, around 10:40.

Up and about here, ddogs have been walked. Dmacs had me up during the night, then couldn't get back to sleep, then he woke me again at 5:30 and I slept fitfully until almost seven. I am worried that he is tired and his leg hurts and he's gulping water like crazy. I think vet said next thing to do would be to look for a tumor on his adrenal gland possibly. :?

PODA today - get unpacked, do laundry, settle back in at home, get groceries? and an event at 4 pm to attend.

First round:
-clear kitchen counters (this is a big one)
-start lol
-make the bed
-straighten great room
-refill meds/vitamins for the week, and take for this morning

Good Morning!
Sweet Dreams to LynLee

I've been following my cards this morning and feeling on top of things. A good energizing feeling. I know I can (will) stumble at any moment, but each step in the right direction is building momentum.

PODA -
** Church
** lunch with VDFriends
** Nap
** planning/prep for the new week

Good morning everyone! Bookie that was a great opening. I thought it might be fun to pop in here early with only a few posts to read. Of course the next time I get back there will be a BUNCH! I have church this morning. Before that I need to dress (good idea don't you think?) practice the piece I will be playing in the service, go over the hymns too especially one that is being transposed. That last is not my favorite occupation but it is made necessary by a song leader who thinks she can sing only up to a certain pitch. Since she doesn't read music my inclination would be to ignore her and just play but the other pianist is the one who sets them up. Good for me anyway - keeps me on my toes.

We are on the road again.

Headed for a rally of the IL chapter at a Corps of Engineers park in central IL.

Good time at football game yesterday but got sunburned. Temp in 60s but stands faced due west.

DH filling the MH with gas. ?? how much. Probably about $150. I don't do gallons any more - just dollars.

I made a yummy ham n cheese w/ olives omelet for my breakfast!
I'm up, yesterday I got a gal. of plums in the freezer.
Today I'm SO glad that I worked on the kitchen when I walked in to turn on the coffee this morning I saw clean counters. Yea!

Dining table still needs attn. but that can wait.

Back yd. still needs help and looks like a construction zone but will have to
live with that until the coop is done.

American Pickers is in our area this weekend.

MT, we spent almost that much yesterday on the road home - filled up when leaving the beach, and then again not too far from home so I still have most of the tank for this week. Safe travels!

Finished that round and kitchen looks better. This time:
-reboot laundry when ready
-clear the kitchen table
-finish unpacking my bag
-get out Franklin planner for Sept and move forward to-dos left from August
-answer three temple emails

Nancy, your omelet sounds delicious!

I spent a little time catching up on Caring Bridge on the status of the 16 y/o from our community who lost consciousness and fractured her skull in several places when she went down a flight of stairs at school. She's been released from Shepard center in ATL as an inpatient and is making progress. She's the younger daughter in a family that my kids grew up with - have known them since our kids were all about one y/o.
