Happy Birthday HRH!!

Scattered, feel better soon!

Wow, ((Cowinkie)), I'm sorry for the dfriends you lost. Hope your dneighbor is all right.

Just finished dinner -- a little later for us as we didn't have lunch till 1:30 pm. I spent some time at my desk this afternoon. And other than daily routines we had a quiet day. I also talked with dsis this afternoon. I'd better go clean up the supper dishes.

Yes, Sunny and I had a nice long conversation. We should call them marathons.

Cowinkie, that is quite a 9/11 experience you had. Also quite the experience today with the neighbor. Why did she fall?

I'm sorry I haven't been replying very nicely to others. I haven't been getting here very often early in the day.

So nice to see Mystery Woman here.

Kathryn, did I miss something - you said you'd be off your game for a year?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HRH!

2 drs. appointments today. First was the skin doctor.. they wanted to give me another one of those shots! Ah, no. Even after I told the nurse what happened to me and she wrote it down she said, well you'll probably get another shot anyway. Huh?

Between appointments I ducked into the fabric shop. Nothing like a good stroll through JoAnn's to calm one down and use up a little time.

2nd Appointment went well. I'd given them a ton of information to go through, and I typed up a page of my own of explanations. She said it was the answers to all the questions she would have asked, and she had just one more. We chatted about memory issues, etc., and she gave me a short test and I guess I passed. Maybe my brain isn't as fried as I'd thought!

So, that is one thing off my mind. I will not have to worry about finding another dr. This gal seemed to take everything in stride and understand it all. She gave me a lab order for a bunch of stuff. Will be checking my B12, my CBC, electrolytes, liver, thyroid. She said my tiredness could come from sleep disorder. Well I'll cross that bridge if I have to.

Gotta do paperwork this eve. with DH. Still need to clean up kitchen & make lunches.

Harmony: yes, the doctor says that it will probably take a year for the fatigue to go away. We'll see what the specialist says at the end of the month but hepatitis apparently really takes a toll on someone. I can live like this because I plan around the naps (thank heavens I don't have a real payroll job) but I still need to be assured that the acute illness won't come back. Until I have an explanation for what happened this time, I'm not sure I feel comfortable traveling out of Canada. I'm not sure I'm comfortable traveling long distances in Canada either, which cuts me off from dd (who is a 5+ hour plane ride away from me so I know I can't do it now.)

My normal mode of operation is to keep up with the dailies and some of the routine weeklies. When things get too far behind, I have a manic day of cleaning and catch up. At this point, all I can do is the dailies and some weekly routines (like stripping and remaking the bed on Monday and making sure the dirty sheets are washed at some point during the week and end up back in the closet.) I'm also keeping up with groceries, meal planning, laundry and keeping the bedroom vacuum and dusted (that's more due to my allergies than a passion for cleanliness since I can't take any allergy meds, so I need to keep my environment as allergen free as possible.)

Speaking of no meds, I seem to have whipped the headaches by changing my pillow.

I've eaten my dinner. The past three days I've done my outside meetings, etc, not spending any time with dailies, especially tidying. As a result the house is really getting sick looking. I'm going to put on an episode of Monk and see if I can at least reclaim the kitchen.

Dh's new smart phone arrived today and he was having trouble charging it. Turns out you have to put the battery in first for that to work! (He finally read the quick start booklet properly.) So we had a relatively short call and then he got to work at backing up his existing phone to his new phone. Not sure how much progress he made, but he did make a call with the new phone so that much is working.

I'm going to have to start thinking about what apps I want to have on dh's old phone since I'm getting the hand-me-downs. My palm pilot has Weight Watchers points tracking, address book, my old SHE system, memos, e-books, a countdown timer, a world clock and a game (Hearts.) Since the smart phone has google calendar on it, I'll have my new SHE system including my monthly meal plan and we have a google doc with the address book (although I might look for a better one.)

I'm looking forward to having WiFi (to Google things and to get email while out during the day), The Economist, a decent camera, and my mp3 files with me all the time. So I will say that while I don't need a smart phone, I'm looking forward to it.

This has been a good day! Two projects finished!

After we finished supper and playing outdoors, I started working on a project sent home from LO teacher. She sent a booklet of blank pages home to be filled out telling "All about LO". She provided a list of possible page ideas but so many of the subjects are on shaky grounds. I steered clear of any information that will possibly change 12 days from now. Instead we made the pages up with facts that won't change.....first name, age, brothers name, what he wants to be when he grows up, favorite toys, etc. hum....i guess what he wants to be when he grows up will change....and his favorite toys will change....but YKWIM. :D I had some scrapbook type stickers that went along with each page subject and made them look good. LO loved putting the stickers on the pages as I wrote the information.

I never did get a nap today. I've been up since 2:30am going strong. Hopefully i will sleep good tonight.

Sweet dreams!

In June of 2001, dd2 accompanied her bf who lives in Texas, her dm who lives in OK, plus other adult chaperones and students on a trip to New York City. Dd2 has pictures of the twin towers that she took from a ferry ride. Dd2 was so glad that she was able to see them. (((Cowinkie))) I know how devastated I felt and I did not personally know anyone. For days I woke up hoping it had been a bad dream. I can only imagine how you felt knowing so many and having been in the towers.

OKay, don't you love the projects teachers give kids, the ones that make so much work for the Parents!

Kathryn, I'm so messed up these days...I am missing stuff all over the place, even here it appears. How did I ever miss that you'd been diagnosed with Hepatitis? Did they give you a letter after the Hep? I'm sorry to hear that.

One of my lab tests is for my liver. But I think they're checking to make sure my medicine hasn't messed up the liver.

I got lunches for tomorrow made. Got kitchen cleaned up.

I forced myself to sit down and do a proposal with DH and email it off. I am very very tired, been going all day with only a little nap late this afternoon.

I left work just after nine p.m. and I'm eating pizza at home. Dh got home earlier and walked ddogs and picked up the pizza.

I need to be at work early tomorrow and hit it hard. I finished one return today and it will be reviewed in the morning, I think. I still lack some info but I'll add it after the review. I think I can now go back and make changes to the other return, based on the info that the "blonde" gave me today. They need to initiate an electronic tax payment on Friday so it needs to be to the reviewer (different individual than the first return) mid morning.

I am heading to bed.

Okay - I've been meaning to ask what does LO mean?

Kathryn - Hepatitis sucks... and it does take a long time for the Liver to recover, but when you think of all that organ does it is amazing it heals at all. Feel better soon!

Harmony - if you are on any cholesterol meds and some pysch meds it is very important to have your liver levels checked regularly

Thank you all for the well wishes, my tummy seems to be doing ok this evening I have actually been hungry and have eaten stuff I probably shouldn't have but it was what I wanted. I'm still having issues with fever and chills and a headache, but hopefully it will be gone by tomorrow night since I have to work another night shift.

Managed to get my homework done and Navy minutes sent out... so not a total lose.

Think I'm going to take some meds and head back to bed.

Night night.
