Tuesday 5 x 5
Tuesday it's a 5 x 5, or 5 x 7, or 3 x 5, or 8 x 10 or any other combo you want to go for. I was about to title this "Rainy days and Monday" and then I realized it's not Monday! I know I'll be a day off this week because of the holiday yesterday.

Re: Tuesday 5 x 5
I need to find my FP (franklin planner) and figure out my 5 x 7 for the day. I'm back at payroll work today, then have a homeowners assn meeting for this subdivision at 6:30 this evening. This has been a long weekend for me - off of work since last THursday afternoon except for the client phone calls on Friday.
I just walked ddogs one lap around the circle in the rain. Wore a short raincoat but rain dripped on my shorts hem from the coat. I think ddogs were satisfied with that - they didn't get a walk last night because it was coming down harder and I know they needed to stretch out their legs.
Wish I could get back on track with my complete a.m. routine - I do bits and pieces but rarely all of it, especially when I'm heading to work.

Re: Tuesday 5 x 5
Grrr….. lost the internet again and another post. Oh, when will I learn? Internet has been so ‘iffy’ lately. I am really thinking of getting a ‘card’ for internet. Have to check it out.
Trying to do post in Word then copy/paste.
It is steadily raining here, too, Twins. What I really want to do is climb back under the covers. I slept quite well last night, but still am sleepy. Got up at 5:30 with dh. (Only because I really needed the bathroom.)
DH can’t do much of what he planned today, so suggested going shopping with me later this afternoon and then perhaps go to the casino. We’ll see.
Been trying since little after 7:30 so am going to PWhileICan

Good morning Twins Mom and all who come in later. Whee! I actually got here early for once! Just changed the order of things - haven't looked at email yet. That is often what keeps me occupied early in the morning.
Today I have an appointment with my audiologist at 9 so can't stay at the computer long. I will go to email and check in with my friends who will be looking for it. And that will be it till later. I hate these early appointments because they throw off my morning routine. Another one tomorrow - dentist - and Thursday is Bible Study so I have to be ready to leave by 9. Not complaining just talking... Back later I hope.
Have a good day everyone!

Re: Tuesday 5 x 5
Good morning, Twins, mamap, and Dee!
Raining here, too, Twins -- and at the camp where dd is on her field trip, poor thing. I am thinking I need to get a refill for my own FP -- have not used it in several years, but we now have enough going on to warrant it (and the goings-on are structured enough to make it useful -- the regular refills tend to have a business-day bias, and the "simplicity" ones are too unstructured for me).
Slept badly last night. Was chilled enough that I had to get up & use the bathroom at 1. Turned on the electric blanket to stave off having a night where the chill makes me get up every hour or so. Was semi-successful in that I didn't get up again for another 2-1/2 hours, this time too warm. Turned down the blanket; still too warm. Turned off the blanket; too cold again. Was feeling like Goldilocks, though a particularly creaky one -- the hip on the side I usually sleep on started hurting me before bed (don't know what I did to it), and my shoulders and upper back were killing me. Had a sour stomach and a song running through my head I couldn't stop, and between those, the aches & pains, and the inability to find a comfortable temperature, I couldn't get back to sleep. Did not end up in a panic attack, but this is part of the constellation of woes that usually precedes one. They seem more common around that time of the month, and my shrink du jour (de l'année?) has me upping my meds slightly the week before; however, as I approach menopause, my cycles tend to vary by about half a week either way, and I'm thinking I should have started the increase before I did.
If I'd had my laptop upstairs, I could have used it to watch/listen to a show to distract me, but it was downstairs, so I headed down there, turned on the TV, and sacked out on the couch. Was able to get back to sleep, but sleeping on the couch did nothing to help my back. Bleah.
At least I have nowhere I need to go today other than to do the pickup run. I need to stop by the parochial school library, where I've told the librarian I will still help, to get Book Fair info to create a bulletin board, but I can do that tomorrow, and DD's scheduled hockey practice for tonight is no longer on the agenda now that her team has folded.
OK, maybe I have somewhere to go other than the pickup run -- the good news was that I remembered while making DD's lunch that today was the last day to turn in lunch orders/checks for the year. (Yeah, I thought having to order lunch a month ahead at parochial school was a pain, when, if my kids were going to public school, I could have just sent them in with cash if we were running behind in the morning, or I was out of bread, or whatever. Well, at this charter, they only have hot lunch one day a week, and you have to order it in advance for the year!) Anyhow, the bad news is that DD forgot to take the order form & check. I need to call the school & see if I can drop it off at pick-up time rather than having to make the hour round-trip to get it there during the day.
So, enough whining -- here's my first five:
• call the school about the lunch form and make the run if I have to (hopefully not)
• clean up breakfast
• tidy the bathroom
• start a load of wash -- should do darks, as DD is out of school shorts (memo to self -- must buy more khaki!)
• clean off the dining table -- never did it yesterday, and it's buried.
That should take me a good long while.

Re: Tuesday 5 x 5
At my volunteering, all alone. Thankfully, the Presbytery office is in a church and the secretary from the church has a key and knows I volunteer here. So I was able to get into the office. The lights are off (which is wrong because the light are not to be turned off) but I found a desk lamp and have that plugged in where I work, plus the daylight (although it is a dark and dreary day.)
Turns out the Presbytery minister is away this week because her daughter was married last weekend and the secretary is away this week because her daughter is being married this upcoming weekend and the other staff member is on holidays too. But no-one thought to let me know.
Without distractions, I should get my work done quickly.
I dropped dh at his friend's place just on time so the day is off to an OK start although I was counting on the energy from co-workers to keep me going.

[[[Mystery!}}} I can relate to those nights. Probably we all can. Kathryn, I'm glad you were able to get into the church and get started on what you need to do without wasting time waiting on someone else to get there. And anyway. it sounds like no one else is coming anyway. So you are free from distractions.
I ended up with a wee bit of computer time because my next stop is the bathroom and dggs was in there. He has now left for school and I can go do my teethe and other necessary things.

Re: Tuesday 5 x 5
I think Lynlee's seed cereal cooking on the stove sounds cozy.
I think Kathryn's sitting in the dark trying to work by a lamp does not. (They should attend to that)
Mystery, I could not get comfortable all night. Temp, yes. I'm thinking this is the time of year when my heat pump can't understand the world.
Dee, I did crawl back under covers after school run.
Twins Mom, it was pouring here as dd and I were getting ready for the school run and she enclosed her guitar in a trash bag to leave. Thankfully, it was only drizzling at the school so she made a run for it without the bag.
Nancy and ellyphant, good job painting. Also Nancy's dgd - what color are the new chicken quarters? Yes, fun to see a photo.
Just as I was making my ddad's breakfast with coffee in microwave, the power went out. Odd. Back on now but that was weird on this dark, dark day.
Next ups
Outdoor chores if the rain will let up
call AGAIN about prescription - they are slack!
finish parent internet thingie at school
Pick up prescription
Make bloodwork appt for my ddad

Re: Tuesday 5 x 5
I'm up bs is almost too low today so having some breakfast first.
Trash day is today trash is at the curb h. did that before he left for work very early today.
I added some stuff to the trash that h. missed it's good to get that out of here! Yesterday put a few things in the trunk for donating next time we are down town so made some decluttering progress yea!
s2s x
coffee is done.
It's a bit cool to start painting for today so I'm going to try to do some
inside things first. Harriet The run is white and the play house will be white w/ periwinkle blue trim when we get it all painted. I have some left over inside paint so will be doing it later since dgd had such a good time helping! She was actually quite a bit of help. Working on my five today. Some ladder work & my taller step stool today.
This is a nice coop not mine;

If you scroll down you can see more pic. of this guys building process.
It makes me glad ours is level! We have a dirt floor for the run part.
In the center of the run part the front of mine has a split door on the front side, and single door in the back for cleaning upkeep etc. or will have as we need a couple more 2"x4" first.
8'x14' run with lean to style roof off the 4'x8' play house it has a slanted roof instead of gabel style.
