I had to join Mr. Sunny at Sadie's workplace today. That's where I had finally found the over-the-door shoe rack that will work in dd14's closet. Unfortunately, got home having paid for it but without it. Sigh. Talked to customer service, took in receipt and it was replaced. It had been written in "the log" that it was left behind. HRH was very impressed when I told him.
Also went by pharmacy 1, where, after much time searching, my ddad's one prescription was found in the wrong bin. After that in their attempt to take good care of me, they were worried because there was no insurance, but no, he does not have any prescription ins. When we look back over the years and years without meds, we know that was the right decision for him back in the day.
Sadie, both ds and I have both been told not to do any exercise that has us on our backs lifting our legs unless the legs are bent - that will hurt our lower backs every time. There are parts of his P90X that he will not do because of this and one old T-Tapp move on a VHS I avoid because of it (she later took that move out for more recent floor workouts). Anyway, I just thought I would mention. Hope you find the right combination of exercises for your back.
Harmony, how are you feeling?

Taking a break from document evaluation. I have to decide on about 16000 documents! YIKES!!! But it needs to be done and I am being paid to do it, which is very nice. I have about 20 minutes before picking up DD10. And I have planned Sunday's activity! There is a Renaissance Fair near us and we will go with one of her favorite friends. They saw a Civil War reenactment at this location, so they will probably both have their union hats on, but that is ok, they have a wonderful time playing union soldier. Yes, DD knows I am from the south, but she associates with me anyway. It is a very weird feeling to have a non-Southern relative. She is the only one.

I have the support 2"x4"s that are under the tin painted on the coop today yea that was my goal!
Dinner is done.
Sunset is lovely.
K in C For sciatica I used a dish towel folded and some hip rotation exercises as my back is usually out after ice that usually makes it go back in. As per Chrio's advice. Shopping or what ever over town after 7 hrs. would make me exhausted too.

I am honor-bound by a promise to a frantic cousin in Georgia that I will make anyone who appreciates geneology, archives and public access to historic documents aware of this situation in Georgia. She has sent out an email to every relative she can find saying,
" Dear Cousins,
I'm sending out a plea to family for help. I live on the cutting edge of the Okefenokee Swamp and am one of so many who use the Georgia Archives on a frequent basis for research. I still can't believe this is going to actually take place.
Closing the Archives is so unacceptable- please consider adding your voice for not closing the Georgia Archives. Do share with others who may find this of interest.
All is not quiet in the Swamp "

Re: sciatica: One of my issues is that lying on my back without a lumbar pillow is bad for it, but since all this started (actually a week before I got really sick) the lumbar pillow I usually sleep with hurt to use (before that I couldn't sleep without it.) I figure that the inflammation made the organs around my liver sensitive. At least now I can sleep on my side (couldn't went I was really sick.)
My back is acting up because of all my lying around and no exercise. I'm lying around and not exercising because I'm so fatigued. Vicious circle which will only get worse as I gain weight from lying around all the time and not exercising.
Slept a bit. Thought it was longer than it was (by an hour) so obviously I slept deeply.
Dh asked to be released from cooking so we had pizza and watched two episodes of Newsroom.
I've been working on flights for him for next month. He's going to have to give up on Barcelona because to do it as one ticket (and we should since he needs protection due to tight connection times) costs $7600. Without Barcelona, I got it down to $1500 and only one tight connection time. I might call in and see if I can have the last connection added to his overseas ticket. I'm willing to pay a bit more.
Tickets are really cheap to Nova Scotia right now but I can't book until I find out if I can fly. I can't imagine I shouldn't but air pressure changes do things to your insides so there may be a reason I can't.
Anyway, working on that took up almost all the evening. I've also backed up my Palm Pilot and old phone contacts onto my old computer (can't do it to my new one due to newer OS.) So now I can copytype my contacts into my new phone. Ds helped me pick a program that allows me to type the contacts from my computer's keyboard instead of using the screen keyboard on the phone. Oh, and I learned how to do voice to text entries for text messages which made it way faster than trying to type them on the phone. Merivale was spelled Maryvale but dh still found the McD's I was at!
When I was out today, I went to text dh and realized I didn't know his phone number, it wasn't in my phone and my backup files were on my old computer so I had no idea what his number was. It is full of Zeros, as is mine, so we haven't come up with word reminders for our new phone numbers. I emailed ds at work and he sent me the phone number.

Hi everyone!
Elizabeth--LOL about you "non-Southern" relative! Same situation here. My grown DD and DS did not grow up in the South, but DH and I did. Our kids were quite distressed to learn that their ancestors were in the Civil War, but not on the side they expected! I told them what my 8th grade history teacher always said, "Remember, the winners write the history books!"

Re: Tuesday 5 x 5
Belated wishes: Happy New Year Twins and Cathyy. Happy Birthday blessed.
Dove, the cake plate is beautiful. Sadie, showers tire me out too.
Kathryn, my back is achy a lot now because I've been laying on it too much. It feels better after I get up and move around a bit.
Monday eve. I think I got a lot of sleep. So today I was up half hour earlier and felt pretty good. I had to drive DH out to beach town to pick up some papers. He did not know where the office was and I did not know how to explain it. Driving tires me out a whole lot, I don't know why.
Ran out and got other errands done, went to bank and dropped off books at the library. I worked on laundry today. I got 1 big pillow done, then a load of work clothes and a load of perm. press. Hung it all up but brought it all in later since it was humid and drizzly. It will be dry by tomorrow I hope. Sunny, did you get rain?
I worked on picking up the kitchen; don't know what happened to it, I had it picked up on sunday. Anyway, tonight was meeting at church. We've had some staff changes and we needed to figure out how to cover some things until they get someone assigned. I tried not to get too involved, though I did say I'd come to a ladies dinner and help set up (it's a month away).
I figure the lab results would be back to the drs. probably tomorrow. Or thereabouts. We will see how long it takes for either one of them to call.
I'm really tired, so off to bed.
