We have mice in our house every winter; it is a 55? year old house in a heavily wooded neighborhood. I think Lily has helped keep the population down, but we will still set traps. Dh likes the simple old-fashioned kind; if the mouse is positioned correctly, death is instant. If not. . . well, the mouse dies pretty quickly anyway.
One of our animals has been killing chipmunks; I found Pepper playing with one that was barely alive on Monday. Then, this afternoon, there was a dead one on our front porch. Both of them were caked in mud.
