That schedule looks great, OK. LO gets to run off some energy after school before some study time. I can't believe he needs to do hw 30 minutes/day in preschool! Wow! It seems true though that academically, a lot more is expected of kids at a younger age these days.

After my ramblings, I should also point out the obvious - my girls are older. When they were in elem. school, I'm sure I was monitoring hw more closely.

When I was in High School I found it impossible to do home work on Fri. nite with games and such in the fall b/c of foot ball season. But Sun. night was not a really good time for it either but when I usually did it b/c folks always had some sort of chores or project going on Sat. and church on Sun. a.m. then it was Sun. dinner w/ grand parents. Not much play time.

Time for me to think about my walk.
Q.T. done.

Helia - your children have wonderful examples. POTB to them for doing such a good job of juggling a busy workload

LO didn't attend preschool last year so I'm not sure about homework in that grade. Public school in our state defines....
Preschool = 3 year old all day program
PreK = 4 year old all day program
Kindergarden = 5 year olds

OMM progress =
** On hold = MC project is on hold until it dries up some. 80% chance of rain today so it might be a day or two.
** In Progress = DH pickup to local repair guy today. The door handle stopped working. DH is on his way to dealership to pick up part for it now.
** In Progress = follow up on DGS17 request he made this morning. DGS17 needs meds that none of his parents can/will pay for. DGS17 asked if DH/I would provide over $100 each month to pay for cost of meds. I want to look into seeing if generic is available since this looks to be a long term monthly expense.

** DONE! Follow up on DH missing med (mail order)
** iN PROGRESS = Research Home insurance solution. One quote received - Insurance premium will be $200 more each year....but at least insurance is available here! I am going to try for a couple more quotes and see if anything better shows up before making final decision..
** In PROGRESS = SHE cards. Start small. Baby steps. I can't juggle 100+ of them yet, but I can do a few.

** On Hold = LO haircut after school

Sadie - Txt with LO father was asking to see LO on Sunday for 1 hour. I instantly agreed to his request and made arraignments to take LO to meet them in a public place. it has been 56 days since they have asked to see him.......this lack of effort to see him makes no sense to me.....

Good Morning, Ladies! :D

We got up early, got showers, so DH could get some firestarters, mousetraps, thermometer, International Coffee, etc... Had to go to 2 places plus Costco. I've downloaded some free books, had breakfast and coffee. DH mailed a thank you letter to a pal who sent me a neat order of sheets of stickers, note cards, computer papers. :D Was so happy with everything. Also, he mailed off an outline form I use for writing, to a fellow writing pen pal.

My PODA:
1- Stick labels to Christmas cards
2- TRY to do a Conga.
3- Read my book (would love to finish it!)
4- Walk
5- Do laundry

Knackered is a cool word! I've heard of Snackered, which means drunk, I think.

Will continue to de-clutter the closet, get more clothes for donation. I have other plans, too, but they might not pan out. Just taking the day one thing at a time.

MysteryWoman, enjoy your phone! :D

Nancy, enjoy your walk! :D

Waving to Sadie, Emptynester, Kathryn, Harriet, Helia, OKay, Scattered, and those I've overlooked because I'm always overlooking someone or someTHING.

Have a great day! :D

Home again. Left here for my office and met temple VP there, we went out for early lunch to talk, then back to my office for phone conference re temple and rabbinic issues. Very good phone call and some good thoughts for us to try to put in to practice here. Then to run errands: gassed the car, dropped off shred (another sixty pounds!) got fish for dinner, car wash, liquor store for wine, then Asian market for ingredients (ginger, hoisin sauce, also got some beautiful snow peas) and then grocery for just a few things.

Going to nap now. I've had such a busy week I'll treat myself!

OMM progress =
** DONE! = DH pickup door handle stopped working. Part obtained and installed.
** DONE! Follow up on DH missing med (mail order)

** In Progress = follow up on DGS17 request for help. Will pick DGS17 up from school today and take him to get his meds. He will be taking generic but our cost will still be over $100 monthly. I'm thankful DGS17 is willing to seek help .....a combination of counseling and medication.
** iN PROGRESS = Research Home insurance solution.
** In PROGRESS = SHE cards = 25 cards completed
** In PROGRESS = Donation to DGS6 fundraiser/walk. I tried to donate online but I think DDIL sent me the wrong addy. Waiting for clarification
** IN PROGRESS = LO haircut after school

** On hold = MC project. 80% chance of rain today so it might be a day or two.

Back from getting oil changed in car. Also picked up specials at grocery store--enough to give DH some easy options while I am away next week.

About homework...I never even thought of asking parents for help. Sometimes if homework was difficult, I would cry a while, then pull myself together and just do it! When my kids came along, I refused to get involved with their homework. Would tell them that I have already finished that grade. The most I would do was throw out topic ideas if they had to write a story. That worked for us. I know every family is different. Thank goodness I never had to homeschool!

About mice and rats...We have woods which means lots of critters. Think we have all the holes plugged now, but did have a dead mouse in basement last spring. Had a rat run at me in garage this summer (he was running away from opening garage door). We have lots of poison in place now! Latest problem is big black spiders in garage. Have sprayed good for those.

Find myself thinking that maybe we should have bought the house that sat out in a field with no trees! But then we would never have met the friends we have here, so I guess we will just deal with the critters and be glad we are here! :D

Does anyone know why I can't get this website on my iPad? I get the message: Safari cannot open the page because the server cannot be found.

It would be so much more convenient, since I share computers with teenagers. :P

Why did the hairs raise on the back of my neck when you mentioned LO seeing his father (& I presume his mother) on Sunday? Does someone go with you, Okay? I can't remember what you've said about that in the past. But with everything that's been going on, please don't go alone.

Deb are you putting this entire address in the web browser on your ipad: www.shesorganized.net/phpbb/index.php Be sure you're using NET and not COM. If you're doing all that, then I don't have any other ideas right now.
