Ivy - Your outing sounds like fun!

Elizabeth - The HHooker book sounds interesting. I'm looking forward to hearing what you think about it.

OMM progress =
** DONE! = DH pickup door handle stopped working. Part obtained and installed.
** DONE! Follow up on DH missing med (mail order)
** DONE! follow up on DGS17 request for help.
** DONE! Donation to DGS6 fundraiser/walk.
** DONE! LO haircut after school
** DONE! SHE cards have officially been restarted. 25 cards completed today

** iN PROGRESS = Research Home insurance solution.
** On hold = MC project. 80% chance of rain today so it might be a day or two.

We are following the legal counsel for LO visits with his Parents. They don't have any legal visitation privileges, so we sought counsel on what we should do. We were advised to allow visitation, but always meet in public place and never let LO out of our sight. We will be meeting in a children playing area in the middle of mall.

OKay, so smart! You guys are doing exactly the right thing.

We had salmon baked in a pouch with red bell peppers and carrots and an asian sauce, and wild rice for a very nice shabbat dinner. Our candles will burn down through the rest of the evening. We mostly cleaned up and took ddogs for their walk. A nice evening of peace and rest!

I've only done 3 items on my PODA today, which are read on a book, walking while shopping, and doing laundry.

So far, my ta da is:
- sorted and started laundry
- tried clothes on this morning and put clothing into the donation bags.
- cleaned and rearranged our walk-in closet.
- read on a book on writing
- sorted the mail
- went shopping
- ate a chocolate swirl frozen yogurt
- Cleaned off the eating bar
- cleaned out some addresses I no longer write to, from addy book
- looked at my Amsler Grid
- did some calendar reminders
- chatted with DH about a scary test and appt. (for my eyes) that I'll do next week. :(

Dstepson was nagged into coming here by HRH (I would never have done it because he worked so many hours today). But he just loves his surprise gift (new tv for both their upcoming birthdays). Their tv had died and they are very frugal, were just going to do without, maybe find a thrift-store one and finally buy one for each other for Christmas. HRH couldn't stand it, and I totally approved that he wanted us to provide one for them. He just knew they would get a "lemon" set without warranty or recourse, and couldn't bear that dstepgd couldn't see her programs! LOL. He shopped very wisely and got a good deal. When I think of all the lawn mowing and other outdoor work dstepson has surprised me with, I am so glad we did this.

Couch is safe and sound here and looks good. The extra fabric is calling to me and I know I will want to make another pillow at least. I stopped by ddad's house and grabbed a cotton pillow that I thought of that will go well with this for my ddad's naps. This new fabric is textured and not what he will want for a headrest when he naps.

Tried to call dcousin but was only able to leave a message. DPC just fell by the wayside, as did the prescription pick-up

Dd was fitted into the right thing for her ankle, we think. Time will tell. Long trip. Our favorite ice cream place had a location right beside it with a drive-through of all things. How odd to have our specialty cone orders filled as we waited in a vehicle right beside them as they worked. There was also a neighboring GW, but a quick dash-in had showed us that it would take forever to shop there so we had ducked right back out again. They don't organize their items like the GWs closer to our home do. For instance, no size markers, etc.

Ivy, in our family if anybody has to have a scary appointment they get a milkshake on the way home. It's the law.

Elizabeth, just hang out an extra while here tonight :D

posting from Saturday
Mystery - I'm thinking the circus club you mentioned is like the circus activity dgd does. ex ballet as a tot, gymnasics a bit later ( they wanted her to do many trainings a week towards state squad and dd did not want that so restricted # of sessions she went to a week.) So now at 10 she's into circus and just the swim trainings dd thinks is what she can manage. (not daily or twice daily as some do) Has been to interclub swim meets though and did ok considering how long she has been into it. I think dd settled for twice a week.

Needing to get moving here.
Just begin.

Harriet, That's great that the TV worked out for your Dstepson. Glad dstepgd can see her programs! Will you be 100% without a TV now? My DH would go nuts; no sports!

The couch sounds good. I hope the textured fabric works out for ddad's naps or is that what the cotton pillow is for?

I had a frozen yogurt swirl today; vanilla and chocolate. Can't have too much dairy, as I'm lactose-intolerant. But I did get a good frozen yogurt, which was non-fat. ;) But was very sweet, so doubt that it was sugar-free.

Elizabeth, Is the HHooker book a very good one with lots of good patterns? :?:

OKay, Yes, the outing was fun. :D What does OMM progress mean? :?:

I need to run, get out dishes for a late dinner. I have to wait 1 hour after taking the antibiotic, before I can eat. They also say to wait 2 - 3 hours after eating before taking the antibiotic. It sure as heck messes up the nighttime snacking routine! I tend to go on little "binges", if I'm concerned about something. Emotional eating. But this silly antibiotic won't let me do that. I guess it's good practice. :?:

I was freezing in the lounging pajamas because DH turned on the heat pump because the house got too hot. He turned it off, after we cooled down, but I changed into a tricot gown and sherpa lounger dress to get warm. :) If it's cold in the mornings, DH builds a fire in the insert. :) It's so cozy.

I have knocked a few things off my list. I called my friend and my mom and ate dinner. I did 15 minutes in the sewing room and made good progress. I have balanced my bank account and done (but not folded and put away) laundry. Next up I will spend 15 on the fold/put away, then another 15 in the sewing room, then 15 in the LR. BBL

Okay and Ivy: The Happy Hooker does have some fun patterns. I made the skull and crossbones sweater for DD. I am going to look at the cupcake sweater to see if that should be my next project.

Wow took a while to cuop all that!
Harriet, how is DD's ankle? Elizabeth, how is DD's break?
OKay, I was wondering how much of the man cave stuff was lost in the storm?
Mystery, how's the new shiny phone?
Ivy, kuddos for your DH taking you shopping. Who can understand the way our DH's think?
Kathryn, I hope all your computer stuff is back to normal. It wouldn't be in this household!
Alright, who did I forget? Hello to Sunny (I saw your light on) Greetings to all.

Homework: kids can't really say they're the only ones with work to get done in the evening. A lot of house cleaning, laundry, cooking, etc. gets done in the evenings in most households these days also. But the bad side to homework (and I was thinking about this when OKay was trying to schedule in homework time) what about get-out-and-play time for that healthy body and less obesity?

I have Grandson so busy with his sport and youth group band he has to squeeze in homework time. Good thing is he doesn't have much time for TV!

Knackered! (Thanks Lynlee, and I understand the cat asleep in his bowl picture Nancy) My new favorite word. I helped DH move his trucks around this AM then came back, S2S, visited my ladies in 2 different nursing homes, shopped on the way back up, stopped for a haircut, got lunch, came home. I slept on the couch like a dead person for 3 1/2 hours! I was really knackered!

Have had something to eat & now I'm off to bed....sorry for the novel tonight.

Harmony is right, knackered is a great word for me too!

We have finished printing off the bid sheets, the master sheet and summary sheets that we'll put on the table so people can look over it while they sit (and hopefully go bid!) Dh ran over to the church and checked on a couple of things for me (correct name of one company and the colour of another item.)

I've reminded ds that he's joining us tomorrow. He's working the day shift so should make it easily.

Remembered to take the cheesecake out of the freezer to start defrosting. We are to supply desserts for this fancy dinner and I just didn't feel like cooking on top of everything else I'm doing. The house desperately needs dusting, vacuuming and mopping but that will likely have to wait until Monday (or maybe Sunday after I get up from my nap.) I did get a load of laundry done and dried on the line today so we'll have clean sheets for Monday.

Dh did up the dishes. We watched the last two episodes of Monk while we ate. They were taken off the Canadian Netflix but are on the US one so dh's had his friend teach him how to make it look like our computer is in the US so we could watch the final episode. Turns out the US has Downton Abbey too, so I'll be watching that as well!

Off to bed now. Not too late but I didn't shower yet. I'll do it in the morning. With all that we have finished up today, I'll be able to finish set up tomorrow in just an hour, so will have time to shower in the morning. I have my outfit planned, so that's another thing I don't have to do.

Hi everyone. I feel bad that I haven't posted here for a while. We've been out and about for errands four of the last five days. That's just not my thing, I'm basically a hermit! One or two days out a week is my comfort limit!

I've tried to keep up reading posts here this past week. Sometimes I didn't turn on computer till evening and then was too sleepy to write.

Ivy...I'm glad you had a nice shopping trip with dh.
Twins' Mom...your seafood dinner sounds delicious.
Harriet...that's a great gift for dstepson and dsdil from you and dh.
Kathryn...sorry you had computer trouble. I guess it can be very frustrating for you because of all the work you do on computer.
Hello to Debmasterx....nice to see you here.
Elizabeth...enjoy reading your crochet book.
Hello Harmony...saw your light on, too. Funeral homes???...or did you mean nursing homes???

Well, that's all I can remember. I know I left out someone important! Greetings to everyone!

Because of all the running in and out this week I didn't get much extra accomplished except routine dailies. I don't really feel like starting any projects in late afternoons, especially after driving in all the traffic we have here.
