Hi ya to Helia, Nancy, Twins, and all villagers to come.

I am beat, I ended up working a 16 hour shift yesterday and by the time I got to bed it was after midnight. Now I am sitting here with all my joints aching, not sure if it is due to the long day yesterday or because it is overcast, chilly, and wet here today. Just asked DS13 to bring me my NSAIDs. Need to get up and get going today, we have to go pick up DS13's other pair of glasses. I was just going to call this a desk day since I am so tired and sore but unfortunately they are closed tomorrow. Yeah! I just talked DS19 into doing it for me.

WooHoo now I will get to have a desk day! Now I just need to figure out what I need to get done.

Walked the ddogs, goofed off, and took a little nap. I'm thinking that I'm not wanting to nap as much, and not sleeping as deeply or long when I do nap since I increased meds a week and a half ago, so perhaps that's some progress.

Helia, I didnt' realize how much I would enjoy the openness of this lot. Our last two houses (over the last 26 years) have been in wooded areas. I've always scorned areas w/o a lot of trees but it surprises me how much I like seeing the sky.

Alright!! All gassed up and on the highway. We have great viability but it is a bit hazy out.

I love the way the Good Lord make big holes in traffic when we are coming out of places. Busy road and suddenly we can't see a car for 1/2 mile. He knows how I hate merges and entrances.

Good morning, villagers ~

Yesterday was supposed to be an Apron Day but I ended up spending most of the day on library business instead. Today I'm playing catch up at home. I started laundry this morning right after I fed the cats. I'm on the 3rd load in the washer. 2nd batch of dishes soaking in the sink. Hopefully I will get to play with fabric sometime today.

Ivy ~ You asked about my name. Yes, I save books, and have since I was a small child. I have worked in libraries, either as a volunteer or on paid staff, since I was a teenager. I'm also a bookkeeper in the accounting sense, graduated from a small business school with a major in accounting. When I was first trying to think up a "handle" for the internet, I tried BookKeeper but it was already taken and I didn't want to deal with adding numbers. BookSaver was a unique name at that time, although I have since seen others using the name.

And to answer the question from a few days ago of "jobs" -- I appear to have alternated between liberal arts (library clerks, theatrical costumer, curator and then executive director at a late-Victorian historical house museum) and business (retail store clerk, typesetter, secretary/administrative assistant in a small business, personal computer support specialist in a large corporation, self-employed bookkeeper).

Apparently my left brain and right brain both want control ... It's no wonder I'm sidetracked!

Twins - I love that my lot has just enough trees around the perimaeter yet you can see the sky. I have two very large Sycamores which every winter some tries to tell me they are dead and need removed and I say nope they are fine... sure enough every spring they are covered with beautiful green foliage.

Books - wow what a productive morning. *5 (high five)!

DS13 practiced his Sax and even though he chose to do it right as one of my shows was coming on I paused the show and didn't say anything. We (DS19, DAunt/BFF, DUncleil, and I) are very worried since we see him going down the same road that DS19 went down... throwing away his opportunity to get into and get scholarships. We are all actively trying to come up with a way to get him back into good grades. DS19 is now actively checking his homework on nights I get home late. DAunt/BFF will be calling him every afternoon (as her schedule permits) to check his progress and let him know that another adult really does care. DUncleil (DAunt's DH) has stated that he will not get any more cool gifts until he pulls the C+ up to at least a B and if he keeps it up (not doing homework or paying attention in class) DUncleil will be on a plane (big deal since he has a huge fear of flying) to come here and go to school with DS13 everyday for a week. Oh and he promised to eat nothing but chili that whole week, which is a deadly combination! I have promised that I will spend at least two nights a week doing something WITH DS13 (sometimes a problem due to trying to support them and go to school).

The DS's just left to get the glasses and a few other things, so I am now going to watch my show that the DVR recorded last night. Really feeling lousy.

Bookie, left brain and right are kinda the same with me. I think I need creative things and reading to offset my accounting brain and keep me somewhat sane. In school I usually was good at both the writing classes and math classes and scored well in each area.

The 15 minutes didn't get much done. Was going to quickly scan some things then needed to reboot computer and printer. Now the prima dona printer wants to install an update instead of getting to work, lol.

This round:
-15 minutes of straighten up/put away in MBR
-reboot laundry when washer is done
-fold two loads of laundry and put away (sheets/towels)
-scan the rest of material I pulled out from first round
-get the mail - an easy one!

scattered, working 16 hours yesterday would make anyone feel lousy.

Twins - do you have your studio/creative area set up yet at your new home?

Alrighty! Plans are made for tomorrow evening. DGS15 will go with us to mall while we meet with DD and LO father. I hope I didn't make a mistake by asking DD older boys to join us....I just don't understand why she would be within a mile of them, but not ask to see them. ANYway - the time will be productive because DGS15 needs a new pair of shoes and already has them picked out at a store in the mall so we can buy them while we are there. DGS17 wants to go to eat with us (but not be around DD) so after we leave the mall we will pick him up. The 3 brothers will get some time together, not much since it will only be during a meal. I try to make sure they are together every week - sometimes it is for days at a time, but other times it is just for a meal.

The situation here is that we need a big housekeeping day and we started late. But I have the laundry twins going now and dd is working in her room. HRH has a grocery list made out (on it is "cat food. 50,000 cans" to express his frustration about always running out! LOL ) There's a message on the machine now about the prescription. I feel like saying, "I know, I know".

Ivy, the birthday gift was delivered to our front door and dstepson picked it up from there still in the box. We didn't change anything in our house.

Gratitude for the traffic gaps for Emptynester.

Dee, in large production plants we have witnessed so much "acquisition" and bilking of pension plans, employee benefits/rights until the next "acquisition" when the next acquiring company took their "cut" and made it worse. Eventually some once-strong companies brought to their knees and fine, loyal employees bewildered. Mr. DeeClutter was so blessed to have lump-sum available to him and so wise to take it at the time.

Glad the glasses are finally back in order, scattered. For times that aren't emergencies/breaks but you want a good price, Elizabeth found an excellent online source for extra pairs.

Twins' Mom, yes I am convinced there is a crying need for creativity, no matter what our daily lives are like or what our other talents may be. I believe one of these days "they" will discover that the best thing for keeping our brains healthy can be narrowed down to the umbrella concept of creativity.

OKay, it will be good for LO's parents to see that he and dgs15 are close and have a very comfortable relationship.
