Dee: we get the cold weather on Friday night. Same weather today as you had.
Note to self: don't just make up meal plan. Make sure the ingredients are in the house. Luckily, there were two small steaks left so we had steak and chips, not fish and chips.
Dh is off visiting a friend. I should get some housework done since I'm out all day tomorrow. Am planning to nap in the car while waiting for dh to finish his meeting (so I need the warm weather to hold until at least 4 p.m. tomorrow!)

Re: Wonderful Wednesday
A turkey roast sounds great, Ivy!! Do we have a recipe thread here? I love looking at new recipes! Of course, I don't tend to venture far from this thread. . .. .
Dinner is over and cleaned up. Girls left 1.5 hours ago and should be back in about an hour. Dh and I have been chatting -- now he is working. I'm going to get out my Hebrew. 5 more verses. I did 5 last night. I also need to write down my dinner in my WW tracker journal.
We're supposed to get up to 75 tomorrow.

UGH!!! my Sidetracked habits are causing me to become the Anti-Mom... you know the one who screams at her DK's for being kids because she needs peace and quiet and then totally looses her cool over something that really isn't that big of a deal.
Okay Got major assignment done and turned in... now I have a small (200 word) assignment to do before bed.
Think I need a S'more to re-power before I get it done.

It got smokey again here this afternoon. I felt puny and my body did the cleanse thing. I knit a bit all I had energy to do. Then h. came home just as I was going to get started on a granny square. So I ended up helping & we got the last of this set of six nest boxes installed. Yea!!! {Now I can acquire some hen's oh happy day!}

Re: Wonderful Wednesday
Good evening!
Riding herd on dd doing her homework. DH has taken DD to her hockey practice, which goes till 9:40 -- I'm not sure which of us will be done first. Actually, dd is almost done with the homework that is due tomorrow; however, I'd like her to get a head start on tomorrow's homework, especially the math, which tends to give her fits -- darn near literally, though "crying jags" may be closer to the truth. Last night, I'd say she cried an average of three minutes per problem. Ah -- tomorrow's math looks easy compared to yesterday's, so she is going to do some tidying up and then study social studies for her test tomorrow. She can study while I'm drawing her a bath, and she can study in bed once she's in her pj's (so long as we remember to bring her book or notebook or whatever she needs back down again). Maybe I'll even quiz her a bit while she washes -- or maybe not; she's starting to get modest.
I am all done with laundry except for needing to haul it upstairs, which I've been procrastinating on. It's only my own; DH and the girls each took theirs up earlier -- it's just my own case I need to ride!
Then I can sweep upstairs.
Sounds like a plan:
• get dd situated with S.S. studying
• put away my clean laundry
• draw dd's bath (she's capable of doing it herself, but she's not capable of doing it quickly
• sweep the floors in the bathroom & upstairs hall (stairs, too, unless this is dd's week to do them)
• get dd into the tub & perhaps ride herd

Re: Wonderful Wednesday
Got most of the Tuesday daily chores done.
Prepared my drink for tomorrow. I've been told to stop drinking diet soft drinks by the doctors and they'd rather no pop at all so I have to take drinks with me when I go out. Most places sell fruit drink not 100% juice so I may as well be drinking soda since they are both sweetened with high fructose corn syrup. Even the chocolate milk I had last week was sweetened with HFCS. So all I can drink when out is apple juice and I'm so used to cutting juice 3:1 or more that I find it too strong to drink straight. So now I have to have my own drink with me when I go out.
Off to bed now.

Re: Wonderful Wednesday
Walked at dusk around the loop forgot to do that earlier. It was a lovely sunset with the smoke it makes every thing sort of golden.

Re: Wonderful Wednesday
We just found out. Our DSon and Ddil have SIX boys! This will be baby #7 for them, the ultrasound was today, it's a girl, and our Ddil didn't believe them! She's due in March sometime. This is like a shock AND thrill, both. Our DD has a Dson, too. So we'll be grandparents of 7 boys and 1 girl.
I'm so happy for them. They lost one baby when Ddil was about 5 months along.

Re: Wonderful Wednesday
Congratulations Ivy!!!
Yeah!!! I got my homework done and it is still before my bedtime!
Kathryn - have you tried either the portable Real Lemon packets in bottles of water, or C rystal L ight P ure, or even just plain water? I am allergic to artificial sweeteners and don't care for HFCS. I do drink way to much C oke and Sweet Tea, but when I try to cut back this is what I do when I'm out without a substitute. The C rystal L ight P ure comes in those small pouches that you add to a bottled water and has no artificial sweeteners, it has sugar and a small amount of s tevia which has not caused a reaction in me... I'm very sensitive even S plenda makes me ill. At work I will fill my cup with 3/4 water and 1/4 lemonade, not straight water but not super sweet either.
Time to wrap things up take my meds and head to bed. Good Night all you Beautiful Villagers.

Thank you, scattered! I'm so excited and happy tonight! Our oldest grson turns 16 on Halloween, so we've been awaiting a girl grand-she for a very long time. Now it's happening.
