Re: WWW WEDNESDAY
Need to get a shower. Dd2 called and she has a 10:45 appt for dgd17mos. It is a recheck on her pneumonia and dd2 thinks she needs another round of antibiotics. Dd2s morning guy wasn't feeling well yesterday, so she figures he will call in sick. So rather than have her post a sign that she will open later, I told her I would come down and mind the store. Dgd16 has been home all week with a stomach bug. She won't be happy, well, fill in the blank until she goes to the dr. So dd2 will make her an appt. If dgd16 thinks she can't drive herself, I will go get her. So I better get with it.

Re: WWW WEDNESDAY
I've gone through 2 sections of coupons. Have 1 more to go (out of about 13 extra papers). Finally got 'smart' this morning and took 1 kind, took out the pages that had coupons that I wanted, grouped them together and cut ONCE!
Have to take a break though. Just can't stand that long. It was easier to do them at my counter than sitting.
Trying to decide when I want mail forwarding to END. Just can't figure out when in April to do that. We have mail that comes here, to the campground. Things that need a physical address and then we have a box in the town southwest of us. So have to do it for both. Don't care about the one here as much. That can always be stacked (very little really) in the office till dh gets here. But the one in town is too small a box and I try to gauge when I'LL be here. Would like dh and I to drive back together this year, but not sure he'll let me. Depends on how early he comes back. This year it was tail end of March and too cold here for me. Didn't come until May 11th because of the baby shower for DS-A & DDIL. DD drove up with me, flew back. 2010 I was here by April 12th because of impending birth of DGDZoe. Drove alone that time. No one likes me to do that.
It was really an easy trip and I didn't mind, but that is a very long time to be completely alone out there.
Getting very dark out. S'posed to rain by noon time. Guess I best figure out what's for dinner since I'm trying to do main meal in the middle of the day.

Re: WWW WEDNESDAY
Definitely will, Nancy.
(Twins' Mom) eat something nutritious and put your feet up this afternoon! (Do you have some cucumber you can slice? Put those on your eyes and think non-taxey thoughts.) The fifteenth is only a few days away. You can do this.
(Harmony), it did seem like you were put on the back burner several times. But now that you see how much the B-12 helps (and I am thrilled to hear this for you) it makes me wonder - if only you had been helped with the B-12 many months ago, would you have felt so weak all this time or would that have made you feel normal and well?
lucylee, lol, that is not just in Mayberry. There are worried great-grandparents in the most urban of areas doing the same thing with the phone! Glad she was able to get in touch with them and ease her mind.
Coupons - dd has pointedly asked me to forget coupons! Sigh. I will admit it is difficult they can greatly increase the time spent grocery shopping and neither she nor I have that time. Dd says she sees me buying what I would not normally buy and having disappointments over the ones I can't find. We also did an experiment to see if the pharmacy card savings dollars you accumulate were worthwhile and the frank truth is that their prices are higher. So those coupon-thingies are sort of wasted in the attempt to shop a little bit at their pharmacy to "spend" those accumulated, and then go elsewhere for other things, taking more time to save bits that would have been saved anyway if we hadn't stopped in there! Sigh.
Lilac, the person from the paper will only want to have a couple sentences about your dd, and she can probably direct, with her own answers to questions, what those will be. Actually, she shouldn't give the person too much information because there will be more chance of confused reporting. Hope it goes very well.
How silly that I had the sudden feeling I didn't want OKay to move! LOL! No matter where she is I know she is with us. I guess I'm just always so delighted to hear about the goings-on in ranch life. I don't know anyone else who has the particular variety of livestock OKay has.
helia - I'm sure you are already on the way by now so I've missed you. But any time your friend turns the conversation to her son in a large group, that's really the ideal time because others can do the listening with you. If anyone then turns to you, to ask about ds, you can answer more briefly, to let them know how proud you are of him... ... and stop. Everyone will love you for it!
TaDa this a.m. was Desk Day for my ddad including one DPC. I will get the birthday card ready and make the mail with several things. I fear some bags didn't get to the cans in time for the trash men, but that is not earth-shaking.

Re: WWW WEDNESDAY
Harriet, that is funny, I had the same feeling when I read about the possibility of Okay moving.
Harriet, they do quite a write up every week on any new business. There is plenty to write about dd2 business so that should help fill the space. It is because of her xh that she is reluctant. The boys will be with them, when it comes out. Stepmother(monster) manages to make plenty of snide remarks around the boys. Doesn't she realize that just turns them against her? The vast majority of kids are very loyal to their mothers.
Dd2s morning guy showed up so I don't have to go down there and I am ready for the day. The interview is at 3:00 and dgd16 appt is at 3:15, so I my be going with her. Guess the mowing will have to wait.
Guess I better try to accomplish something.......

Re: WWW WEDNESDAY
Yes, we have to learn to accept that OKay moving IRL makes not difference here in the village. Lilac, Harmony, Twins, MT, MamaP and others have proven this!
I will miss ranching and MPB updates. But think of all the time she'll have to play with us when she's freed from all those chores!
I got up at a good time this morning, worked out, s2s, ate breakfast and then stopped. Haven't done a thing since breakfast.
Dh is at the doctor.
I have a phone call to make.
Then I'll make some lunch and nap. We pick up the car this afternoon.

Re: WWW WEDNESDAY
Wow, almost 12 hours of sleep. Now I need to get some more coffee in me and then get going on my essay which I need to post the rough draft by midnight tomorrow.
Feeling kinda weird today... maybe it is just that I haven't had enough coffee yet.

I had that same feeling too! Then I realized she wouldn't be leaving THIS village, only where she is physically. Know there's a lot on the road from here to there. Edit: Just read Kathryn's post and realized that I also 'moved' from our home 2 years ago and here I still am. Nice to know that this little village is always here for us!How silly that I had the sudden feeling I didn't want OKay to move! LOL!
Finished doing those coupons. Some I will take to FL with us because the supermarket there usually has good buys on multiples of some of those coupons I have. We can stock up some for the winter. Realized I have some things here that I'll probably take south with me. Always some to bring here and some to take there.
Dh was just in for a morning snack and here I am almost ready to make dinner. Oh well, I'll eat and he can eat whenever he gets hungry/ready.
I had some chicken divan left from Monday night potluck. Going to doctor it just a little and have it over brown rice. Dh can add applesauce to his plate if he wants. I'll probably just have an apple later on. (applesauce usually adds too much sugar all at once).

Lilac, I just had to remind dd of that yesterday, as she was telling me that some friends are complaining about their mothers. She says she does feel bad for them sometimes because of the situations but isn't sure how to respond. I told her it's fine to give understanding, but be careful in life not to actually criticize anyone's mother, because they could definitely be offended, even if they just criticized her themselves! I would think it would be even more important for an adult to remember that.
Hmmm... just remembering one school situation I might ask about in J and C. Dd is encountering a reaction by some friends that I haven't ever run across.
scattered, you probably feel a little odd after getting "caught up" with a 12-hour sleep! But that's so good for you.

Re: WWW WEDNESDAY
Back from town meeting went great paperwork snafu is fixed yea!!!
44*-74* Today's temps.
errands x
groc. shopping x
finish address & mail letters x
some walking done
The early bird gets the marked down pies so those are in the freezer for
the holidays or pot luck whatever comes next.
I noticed pies were a hit at the pot luck pumpkin bread disappeared at work on Mon. when h. took that in that was the plan! =D
It's his turn to take in sandwiches this week so I got fixins' for that.
One of the guys will only eat white bread so found that for $1.oo a loaf.
On the discovery channel saw in Alaska some homesteaders build a chicken coup and they had the same kind of hens I do such nice looking eggs. I bought eggs in the clear plastic things today I wanted some of those!
Maybe I should pretend I collected 'em so h. will not think this is such a costly adventure and keep hens around! LOL! To be honest I think he likes having 'em as much as I do. They like uncooked oats, and left over cold cereal love having a place so it's not going to waste.
