Home from work - I am T.i.r.e.d.

I was at temple at 8:30. didn't get to work until 10, and worked straight through - picked up a sandwich next door - to 6:30. I need to take ddogs for walk in a few minutes.

Sunny - I can't imagine a 7pm sunset - We never have one of those here - though I guess to the west of the state they may come close mid summer.

Ivy - I had a friend who - when going blind with tunnel vision - learned skills not needing sight so much - to dance with her DH, to play the organ. I hope your eyes hold on for you.

Just received great news from dsisil. I posted in J&C.

Home and waiting for our big storm to arrive. So far the blue sky has the sun shining but the black clouds are on their way and closing in.

I finished all my errands. Bought Sweetie 2 pair of colored jeans at the vanity fair outlet. Also found a pair of flannel pjs for my mom. Seems she's having a difficult time finding some pjs that don't cost a fortune. I paid less than $15 for these. She gets cold during the winter and these should keep her warm. Also found a pair of kakies (sp) for me.

Bought vitiam B12 at the health store and then stopped at the post office for some mailing boxes. Came home, visited with Sweetie and then made dinner. Kitchen is cleaned up and I am ready to relax for a while.Need to tippy toe around for a while.... Sweetie and Sadie TWD are napping on the couch. Earlier it was Sweetie and Willis on the bed

Waving to y'all...tomorrow is Friday and I have nothing planned for the day..perhaps some dancing in the rain?

So glad to see good news from Lilac...

Enjoyed reading from all of you... but can't hold a thought long enough to post!

Pretty long day at school, followed by long wait for fish plates at fund-raiser supper, home, now babysitting a sleeping little dgs. DS & dh are gone to the county fair -- ds & some friends are playing there tonight. Ddil is working, and I am sooo glad I am home with this little bundle of joy. Hoping he will let me watch the debate tonight, but if he doesn't, that'll be okay, too.

I also have a load of clothes in the washer, need to hang them to dry.

Thanks for the input re: test. I did go ahead and re-schedule it for next Tuesday. Students will be reading short stories in lit book until then.

Just a quick note---

Read my devotion this morning, prayed and wrote in my journal. I moved my cement patio gnome, beaver, and bunny family out from beneath bushes, they were dirty and DH washed them for me, so they're all pretty and clean again. ♥ I finished crocheting the last 2 beanies for Christmas, for grsons, needed 7, and I did 2 loads of laundry, but had dried towels in the dryer to fold and put away from 2 days ago. did that. I washed a bowl and sorted the mail. I worked on a story. I was very sick today, so will have a light dinner. I guess my peach yogurt for lunch hit me wrong or something. I got in a 50 min. nap and feel so much better.

For us, our nearest neighbor is 1/4 mile away, she works, and other neighbors are quite busy or we don't know them yet. There are about 6 other than us, on our lane, in 5-acre plots. There are neighbors across from the lane, too, we know quite well. With the neighbors we have, if they need us or if we need them, they're there, no questions asked and no matter what, without expecting anything in return. It's wonderful to have neighbors like that. One neighbor walked across downed power lines, to our house, to check up on us after she'd not seen us for 5 days during a power outage. I'll never forget that. She also flagged down the power guys and told them about us being alone and being an older couple, too. We had another neighbor come down in the snow in his 4-wheel drive, to pack down the snow so we could get out of our 1/4 mile very deeply snowed in driveway. It's kind of cute, but he got off our garage landing, his tires spun and mud slung up the side of our old house (slated for demolition someday) in from of our current home. Here it is about 1 1/2 years or 2 years later, and his mud's still there and I smile when I see it. DH just hasn't hosed it off yet. Nobody sees it, unless they're at our house and since the house will be demolished, who really cares. Anyway, our neighbors are super. We're there for them and they're there for us, when needed, but everybody gives everybody else "space" to live their own lives, too. I love that type of neighborhood situation. It's really nice. Sorry I've gone on and rambled so much. But this is Thankful Thursday, too, and I'm thankful for our neighbors.

Ivy, I'm sorry you were sick.

I guess I did ok today. DGD keeps me busy, but it isn't the same as when the DGSons are here. Their busyness is all physical and their energy level is through the roof. She is quieter and will amuse herself from time to time. So, I was able to get most of my own stuff done. I was able to take her and the dog for a nice long walk tonight, and I'm sure I would not have been able to do that a couple weeks ago.

It's a blessing to have the youngest generation so close. It's a good trade-off to having my life put on hold for these couple weeks.

Good evening everyone! XDH and I got our paperwork notarized so I can get a reduction in child support. It is in an envelope stamped and ready to go to the lawyer's office. I also have another crochet project ready to go to the car so I can join the needlework group Saturday. I have spent the majority of the evening straightening out computer grief. Since I am here, you know it was successful. I have also looked at my nightly three companies for my job search and found zip, but at least I was able to use the computer! I have done two loads of laundry, one is put away, the other just finished and will be put away after I 'talk' to the village. I ate cereal tonight because I was not very hungry after a large lunch.

Tomorrow, I want to visit my friend in the hospital and buy a printer cable.

ETA: I caught up with my filing tonight and did some sewing on the crate covers!
