I dusted the house, DH mopped the bathroom, the bathroom rugs are drying, the DW is running, and DH dust mopped the wood floors.

I worked on my story, but it needs to rest now, for me to get "fresh eyes" to see it anew tomorrow, so I can make better changes to it. Tomorrow the "2013 Novel & Short Story Writer's Market" book comes. Will be reading on that and studying different markets.

I think I'll go take a rest now. I'm getting tired.

Wow, the Conga line has been busy here today! Good job, everyone.

I'm so glad I put supper in the crock pot this morning. I had planned to volunteer at the library only a couple of hours to sort through books for the sale, and work at my own pace. I ended up staying almost 4 hours and, since there were 2 other people there helping, I felt pushed to work faster and stay on my feet. We got huge amounts of work done, but I'm really feeling the results of carrying boxes and standing on concrete floor. After I eat something, I can take whatever the generic of A leve is called, and veg in front of the TV or read blogs tonight.

I'm going back tomorrow morning to do some more sorting and make decisions about prices for the sale, and clean up the big mess we left behind today. No nap today means I must try to go to bed reasonably early tonight.

Oh and the best news -- in sorting through boxes and boxes of books for the sale, I did not find a single one that tempted me to bring it home. I'm counting the non-buying as pre-decluttering! I make no promises what will happen once I start looking at the fabrics.

Harmony ~ "He went to the other coast for supplies" made me until I remembered, oh yeah, Florida. That's a whole different story than traveling to either coast from Iowa.

Booksaver, it was a 3-hour trip over, 3-hours back, then he tells me he had a bad tire and it was shaking, and he ordered 2 new ones after he got home. I'm glad he didn't have a blowout. "The other coast" can be a much longer trip, depending on where we're going!

Another walk with dog & toddler, had to turn back to keep dog away from big gopher tortoise in the road.

I am really weary now. I'll bet I'm going to sleep well tonight.

Count me in with those spending as much time as possible outside! LO played while I gardened and mowed. Love these beautiful fall days!

Dd2 said they were busy today. I rode with her to the grocery store and sat in the car with the 2 little girls. One of her workers called with a question and said they were busy. Tonight is the last home game. Dgd16 is not allowed to cheer since she missed practice all week, due to being sick. It is cool and damp out, so I have no business going to the game. Tomorrow dgs6 has games at 10 and 12. One is a makeup game. I think I will just go out there and watch the 2 little girls. If it is cool, the 3 of us don't need to be sitting out there.

I don't know what dd2 was thinking. She scheduled an open house next Saturday at her business. Dgs8 has a game that day plus it is also B oo at the Z oo. And she has the boys. Then the next weekend she is having a booth at the annual art and craft fair. Its an all day affair. So it looks like tomorrow is a piece of cake compared to the next 2 Saturdays.

Dh will have to be at the plant most of the day tomorrow. They have been down for a few days for a needed repair, so hopefully they can start up tomorrow.

(hour ago) I have Mt. Washmore on our bed sorted into loads and it still looks bad at this hour. HRH even mentioned that it looked and I never do that. 3rd load spinning.

Well, update an hour later. I have the sorted laundry "wrapped" into loads with a shirt holding each and the 5 balls are placed into one laundry basket like eggs in a nest. So as you can see I am down to mini-loads but it's still . 4th load spinning.

I feel it's under control if I double up for a few days.

Dove and Ivy, the "agreeable" is the crux of the matter, and no, he wouldn't be. I need to be more clear about "can't walk through stores well". I mean he gets confused, repeating many loud questions, and frustrated when he doesn't understand. Actually, if told it were an endurance test, he would probably walk every aisle and then have the wind to brag about it and ask what his "time" was. He impressed the doctor today physically with vital signs and can-do attitude, for sure. But this was bravado after a very confused experience in the waiting room and foyers/elevator. I was happy to find a Sports Illustrated for him because he does read quite a bit at home, but he was so worried and nervous about me filling out papers, and asking the nurses whether each name called was his, he couldn't enjoy it.

Harriet, Good luck on Mt. Washmore. I'm sorry about his not being able to get through stores well. I'm glad he impressed the doctor today though.

Lilac, I hope next weekend can work out for dd2. So many things next weekend. She needs a clone. Things like this happen.

OKay, You must be having beautiful weather! We've gotten rain after 80 days of sunny dry days. We needed it.

Harmony, I've never heard of a big gopher tortoise.

I got a little nap in, read and crocheted a little and planned out my calendar for next week. I'll do a bit of housework this weekend on and off, which we didn't finish today.

Felt a bit puny today so rested and napped.

I'm SO grateful for soup clam chowder for dinner this evening was a hit.

Quick check in. You guys are my "I'm Alive!" people for the next few days. Dh is on his way to Poland and ds is doing nights so I won't call in the day time since he'll be asleep.

Tonight went well. Made my own dinner after nap and got off a few minutes early. We got there later than I expected due to rush hour traffic and a slower route (because of the new car break-in I'm avoiding highway when not necessary.) Got the second last parking spot in the church parking lot so that was a real blessing. I didn't want to learn to parallel park it tonight!

The speaker is great. Which is good since we are spending the tomorrow with her as well. For those in the mainstream Christian ed world, it is Diana Bass Butler.

We were home by 9:30, I've washed up the dinner dishes and started to defrost my meat for tomorrow. I'm going to make a stew in the crock pot so I won't have to think about cooking when I get home, exhausted.

We leave tomorrow at 8 so I may not post before leaving in the morning. My steps for the day are just over 6600, including 1.8 miles on the treadmill. The rest of the day was pretty quiet.

Ivy--Nope, I don't have an e-reader. Have heard I could download books to computer, but have too many "real" books to read first!

Booksaver--Good job not bringing home any books! I doubt I could have done that!
