Today is my morning (or part of it) alone as DH goes to "Breakfast with the Boyz". So far I have cut my hair and S2BF. Oh, and I wrote out a sympathy card to one of the ladies at Escapee Headquarters. Her Dh went hunting and fell. Because he was on blood thinners, his lacerated liver bled out.

Next up is to work in the MH and get it ready for the winter - I want it clean enough to be able to just jump into it and go if the spirit moves us.

For me digital S.H.E. cards would be any type of reminder that comes via your phone, e-mail, like in a yahoo group. Some browsers have a cork board that will put reminders up, I've used calendar on my yahoo for some of my reminders too. I have a small basic needs groc. list in my phone referred to it when I was at the store today.

Most of my SHE system (dailies, weeklies and semi-weekly) is in Google Calendar. But the zone chores are on a spreadsheet. Just revamped that this morning because I needed to print off a new Zone 1 sheet and it occurred to me that with repurposing of rooms and revamping of my Basic Weekly Plan, the zones didn't make good sense (except the outside work and the basement.)

Then I spent much longer than scheduled on the basement but it hadn't had any decent amount of cleaning for weeks.

Dh just invited me out for lunch but we are going to wait a bit because we don't want to get caught with the lunch crowd. Since that completely wrecks my schedule, dh has agreed to help with a few things after my nap.

So I'm off to find another group of chores to do while waiting.

Good morning y'all...

Bruce Springteen and Jon Bon Jovy live in my town. They have been here for many years. Bruce is a co-owner of one of the beach bars. Many times Bruce would just get an urge to play and would just show up at one of the beach clubs where there was a live band asking is he could jam with him. He never stayed long... 30-45 mins cause once he got on stage people would text he was Playing and a flood of people would show. This way he could play to the crowd that was already there and be gone by the time others had heard about. People soon learned not to show up.

The Stone Pony, which is where Bruce got his start survived the storm. It is about 15 miles down the beach road. He and Jon have lived in our town and it is common place to see them around when they are home. In fact Bruce used to love to run...and some times ride his bicycle. People just honk their horns and wave at him. Both Bruce and Jon love the area and everyone knows this.

Last night I said to Sweetie that it wouldn't surprise me if the two of them got together for a fundraiser for the area. They are those type of guys. This morning there was an announcement
on the Today Show that Bruce and Jon, along with Billy Joel and Christine Agularia who are from Long Island, will perform a live concert benefit for the Red Cross. None of us who know the two guys are surprised, just thankful.

I have footprints to pick up and may just putter for the day. I have not completely recovered and have to pace myself at times. I found a home remedy that's seems to help more than anything with this sinus crud I've got. I take apple cinnomin spice tea and mix 4 TBSP of Appel cider vinegar in it. Then I sweeten it with splenda. I drink my magic potion once a day. I know it sounds crazy but I have gotten the most relief by doing this.

Waving to y'all.....if you're interested in seeing what happened to our town, you can go to the "all about sea bright" group page on Facebook. There was structural damage to the fire house so it will have to be torn down and rebuilt. My brother is already working on damaged houses. He is a contractor and i suspect he will be very busy for a long time.

My nephew brought my mother over to my brothers house. Without electriciity there is no heat and the temps are suppose to be in the30's tonight. My brother has a fireplace and gas stove. They also have water. That means coffee in the morning and hot showers. Everyone is safe and life is good for the moment.

Kitchen weekly chores are done. Also glued the sparkly bead back onto my rubber gloves (I got some fancy ones from the dollar store that say Domestic Goddess and Queen of Clean.)

Now to go out for some lunch with dh.

MT, will the lady's dh be OK? That sounds serious.

I'm back from moms group. I think the retreat was helpful to many. I have also had some lunch. I now have about 2 hours at home before I head out again to dd14's oboe lesson. The retreat took much longer to put together than I thought so I am WAY behind on everything this week. I'm going to start by reclaiming the kitchen and then starting the pot roast.

Our Thursday dinner crew tonight will just be friend A and she works late on Thursdays. Dd17 is babysitting tonight after counselor appt.

Dd17 did have a great time last night! Thank you for asking, Ivy. The girls' costumes were simple but cleverly done. I posted a photo on fb. Dd17 was the appropriate one to be Doug; she put her thick long blond curls into 2 forward pony tails, and voila! Do(u)g ears! :) We got zero trick-or-treaters here. Well, if you don't count dd17's friends.

OK, my time is ticking. Off I go. . .

Good afternoon everyone! I am pretty non-triumphant here. The job search is not going well. My house is a disaster, with Halloween needing to be put away. My lunch with friends has been postponed until tomorrow, so I need to get lunch. And of course the photo disaster. At least DD10 is feeling better and is at school. Yesterday, I bought a new toilet seat, mine cracked in half! I also got some groceries, including a Thanksgiving turkey breast. I hope I can cook it well, because it will be providing me lunch for a long time!!! I only had one group of 3 trick or treaters, so I have leftover candy. What am I to do with it, I am not even slightly tempted by it. I have art class tonight. This month I got some pay, but not much.

Making progress. I'm pleased how much I've done today. I'm no where near being caught up, however it feels good to make progress.

After school, we went to the park and LO picked out a nice shady bench near the pond. We snuggled up and read his library book. I'm relieved to have this done. The last 2 days I forgot to do his library book and we ended up reading it while sitting in the car before taking him to school.
