Thanks for the reminder, Harriet! :D I'd forgotten, but DH said he'd remembered. ;)

Our Ddil got to come home from the hospital today! :D She's got a Hickman Device nourishing the baby she's carrying and a visiting nurse comes every 2 - 3 days to change her dressing. She's supposed to rest, so DH and the 4 older boys will do the dishes, housework and laundry. :) I'm glad she's home.

I tidied the bed up, I have 9 rows on the 18-month-old's afghan to do. I got out a cat toy yarns and a dog toys yarn.

I was running a fever, but feel better now. :D Am taking it easy, but DH did help me do laundry; 3 loads. 1 load of towels need drying.

DH is setting some clocks now. :!: :)

It rained on and off here today.

I rested today, but didn't sleep.

I'm still on the soft diet, so decided to have Greek yogurt and mashed potatoes with applesauce later as a snack. :) DH bought some really scrumptious-looking jumbo muffins, in a variety pack from the store's bakery and I can't eat them because of my diet. :( Oh, well. This is temporary; this shall pass.

Kathryn, You've been busy. The squares sound good. I used to teach Sunday School, too. :D

OKay, I'm glad you're having a wonderful day! I hope it remained that way all day. Oh, your DH is really nice to have done that trek so far to get DGS15 to the mall! :o

Twins' Mom, That "Nascar Redneck" b-day party sounded really funny! :P Hope you have fun!

Nancy, I have a smoldering hot spot, but it's there for a reason: I'm working on some projects and need to have them close at hand. If company were coming, I'd quickly take the totes to another room to hide them though.

Have a nice evening, Everybody! We're so happy Ddil is home, as of today, and she's doing well. Our dgrson turned 14 today, too. :D

How does she DO that???
Harriet's graphics just amaze me!!!

Obviously, home from ballgame... and we WON for a change! Amazing. Now, granted, we were NOT playing such a highly esteemed team as LSU is facing tonight... ;) but still -- boy -- it was so much better to see the big number on OUR side of the scoreboard. * whew *

I am also ta-da-ing b/c I got a LOT of papers graded on the way home. I worked straight through for about 2 hours... NO NAP!!! I don't know HOW I stayed awake -- I was certainly nodding off during the game -- but somehow, I managed to stay awake and grade almost all the papers that have been piled up FOREVER for me. I have a few more to go, but they will not be nearly so time-consuming. I started to snuggle in under my blanket, and then I thought about how WONDERFUL I would feel tomorrow if I had this DONE. How THINKING about an unpleasant chore is always worse than actually DOING the chore. So... I did it. :D
Tomorrow is another day.

Looking in from Sunday

Cowinkle - Prayers for the folk in your home area. Community spirit is amazing isn't it when people work together. The will need help for a long time until things are back to the everyday for many. Truely govt can't do it all as they have enough to do rebuilding whats their responsibility. Its where real leadership and contributing counts.

Ivy - It took me til almost 2 to get to bed but slept quickly. Got up today to find I'd left LR light on and hadn't noticed. Good call to tell your family about the tests.

OKay - I had the same thing with a teen - though not as far. The suggestion was to tell them that if ever they needed a lift home they could ring without fear of being in trouble. It was meant to be to keep them out of strife if the planned ride was not suitable / sigh - drunk - missed last bus or whatever. DD1 once rang for a lift home from the shops - about 2 k. I think it was a nice day. Not late/dark/rainy. I picked her and 2 friends up and said next time they could walk home.

day so far
church.
I have washing to go out.
Visiting friend to support later
I have my list up and running again. pot pick selections are picked out. Playing dice game to see which of the things not essential get done daily is next.
Just begin.
Living this day, today
Take a reality check; Remember to breathe; Do what I am able to do.
Look for the good in all.

DH was a big help to me today. I had 2 coupons for groceries, each one $5 off of $25 purchase, good today only. He came to the store with me and we split the shopping into 2 carts, so we could each go through the checkout counter which let us use both coupons. We didn't buy anything extra because of the coupons, just food and supplies we normally use up in a month, so the coupons were a really good deal. After we got home, we carried everything in together and DH took his own snacks and sodas down to his den right away.

Then we finally got the a/c unit out of the bedroom window and stored away for the winter. That's definitely a 2-person job.

After a short break, I asked DH to come out to the garage with me to identify some things that I wasn't sure whether or not they were trash.

Then when he was outside, I asked him to start a fire in the back yard chiminea so a bunch of old cardboard boxes could be burned before it rains tomorrow. He ended up staying out and tending the fire while I went back and forth tidying the yard/garage/shed and bringing out more burnables.

That took a good 2 hours. We had to stop at 7 because it got too dark to work any more.

I still have a bunch of things in the garage that I need to ok with him before I can throw them out, but I'm happy with how much space we cleared today. DH identified a couple of trash cans he no longer uses for yard work, so I filled them with misc. garbage that cannot be burned.

DH agreed with my plan to move the location of the rolling trash bin, to make it easier to take to the curb on Wednesday nights. Once it's in a better place, I should be able to move it out to the curb myself because it won't need to be lifted over anything.

Tomorrow I want to check on our Christmas wrapping supplies and such. Also sort through at least 1 box of papers in the office, hoping I can recycle the whole thing.

I'm grateful we get an extra hour of sleep tonight.

I'm off to bed now. Hopefully, I'm ready for the lesson. Since I have such a short time, I had to decide what to dump from the lesson plan. I also had to write up a weekly lesson guide from now until Epiphany. We haven't ordered the winter package yet and I'm thinking if we can write lessons for Advent and Epiphany, we can just continue on with the Fall lesson plan since we've only used 1/2 of it. I need to have a meeting with the other teachers and see what they think.

Went to lunch then to w-mart for h's cough drops.
Then to dgs age 13 bb game they won
Then back to w-mart for a groc. run
came home let the birds out and got the food unloaded and put away.
Went to a yd. sale on the way home they had some great chicken knick nacks but I refrained could not carry that many as h. had dropped me off.
I did find a pan and book.
Then it was off to the saw movie "hope floats" I'm not sure I like romantic comedy type of movies as much as action ones.
Back to w-mart for a few things we forgot.
To a few min. of dgds last game they won again!
Then we went to dinner came home and closed up the chicken run.
Quite the busy day.
I got a pie out to thaw for the pot luck at church tomorrow h. is going to stay home to mend.

Ahhh! Thanking our fore fathers for the gift of Daylight Savings! I ended up working 9 hours rather than 5 hours... it will look nice on the paycheck especially since it will have weekend shift diff of $5.00 extra dollars an hour, not to bad especially with the 5 hours of overtime.

I think I have finally figured out my BWP, I will post more on that tomorrow, but my 1st part of my plan to reclaim my life is to get 8 hrs of sleep each night and GET UP on time, to do that tonight I need to go to bed now and get up by 9 am. If I get up at 9 I will have 3 hrs before I have to leave for reserves. :)

So with that good night villagers!
