Finally Friday

Post by scattered »

I am about to head out the door for work, I ended up working until 11:30 last night and so am going in at 8:00 this morning. I am now working Saturday also but just 7am-3pm.

Time to get coffee and my lunch and get out the door.

Have a great day Villagers.

It's Only Friday for me. I only have today to do all the weekend and Monday chores.

I had planned on leaving tomorrow around my nap time (and sleeping in the car) but dh is worried about freezing rain in the afternoon so wants to head out in the morning. So I won't have any productive time around the house for 3 days in a row. Saturdays are my zone work days so the house will be surface clean but all those things under the surface that have been getting dirty for months will remain untouched.

I'm pretty well devastated by this news - as sick as I was, I pushed myself yesterday in order to get the heavy housework done yesterday so it would slide into today. Now all the weekend's work is slotted into today plus the upstairs cleaning. Sigh....

Good Morning!

It didn't start out as a good morning, but I'm determined to put it into perspective and let it go.

LO started getting sick last night (coughing, bloody nose, sore throat, diarrhea). He was very restless during the night tossing and turning every few minutes. When I got up at 5am, he got up too. I discovered he had diarrhea during the night - his night clothes were covered with dried poo. :( I got him into the bathtub and cleaned up. Before I could get clean clothes on him, he threw up and had another bloody nose. I took his temperature and it was 100.3 At that point I knew his surgery probably wasn't going to happen today so I called Doctor and asked what to do. He advised to not have the surgery while LO was throwing up. I'm suppose to call the office next week and reschedule.

Scratching my plans for today and making new ones.

I've feed the chickens.
I did get the bed made.
Breakfast was sweet potato and granola bar.
I'm enjoying listening to the link with Nate Bercus in it while I type this post.

BS has been in the acceptable range this week. I felt rough today head cold but no fever so I'm better because I'm up and around and did get some thing done yesterday & today made some progress on the B.W.P. so that is good.

I heard a strange sound yesterday and then realized it was dgd pushing the giant squash down the hall! She was re-decorating! LOL! Then I showed her how to do it on a towel it was easier then.

Hugs to OKay and Twins for today's stress. Hug to anyone else who needs it.

It rained last night and this morning it is too cloudy to see the mountains. WeatherBug says 50% chance of rain today and tomorrow. It is strange to see rain this time of year but it is ALWAYS welcome.

Baked some banana bread yesterday and then took it to a surprise birthday happy hour for a friend. She was surprised.

Today - have to find counters and sink under the dirty dishes, and then termite man is coming after lunch. Found termites on all our fence and any wood on ground - so need him to check house and garage.

Time to get dressed and get moving - tomorrow is park wide garage sale and DH wants me to go thru some stuff to see if we should sell it.

I SAID!!: Lots of hugs to ((((Kathryn, Okay, Twins)))). Kathryn you said,
things under the surface that have been getting dirty for months will remain untouched.
So if it's been "months" what difference will a few more days make (regardless of how many days that is.) Twins, know the pain of letting a former home go. We were in ours for 40+ years and way too many memories (still). Okay, so sorry surgery for LO had to be postponed.

DH is in the process of trying to get the closet rod (in our closet) to hang straight. So our room is in an absolutely horrendous mess. Did clean a couple of bins in the closet and condensed things. Took some things out and put them in the office closet -where they really belong. I also hung all our jackets in that closet. Made a discovery, however, in the process -the depth of that closet is not deep enough to hang things straight. They have to be at an angle. Oh well -at least I got some of the weight off our rod. As long as we have the closet 1/2 emptied anyway I want to pull the rest out and see what's in containers in there. Part is ours/part dd's.

It feels quite chilly in our room, but I'm refusing to turn on the heater. Trying hard to help dd keep the electric bill down. Big saver was the lock box we put on the house's thermostat last spring. GD14 was forever turning the heat or AC on to suit her at will (in her room). But she "never" was responsible for the changing! Right.

DH and dsil took gd to school this morning. Felt good not to have to leave here. We've had multiple things going on every day this week. We have used 3/4 tank of gas since Monday afternoon. Unfortunately dsil doesn't want to take gd by himself anywhere so needs someone to go with him, if he's going to drive her. She's at that 'street smart' age when it's easy to make untrue accusations when it suits her. So he doesn't want to give her the chance. We've not had a problem with her since we got here. Hope this 'honeymoon' will last.

Went to a talent show at dd's school last night -for just about an hour. At least we were supposrtive.

Good morning to all! I'm considering today a chance to do only what I want to do - I do need to be at the closing and also need to pick up at the cleaners, but otherwise I am taking it easy. Tomorrow a.m. dh leaves to go out of town until Tuesday p.m.

I'm getting dressed to head out...

(((Twins))) I am still second guessing our decision to sell our house and buy this one. Especially after dh told me last night that he really doesn't want to retire and stay in this town. :o  :( :x The upgrades we are planning will be money down the drain, because the house won't appreciate that quick. I'm trying not to flip out.
