No one likes Willis stories like I do. I read them on here and Mr. Guy hears them from Sweetie. He is a wonderful dog and I am anxious to see him (and of course Sadie, Cowinkie and Sweetie) first of December. Today is cold and snowey and that tells me it is AZ time. Here we come!

Last Tuesday, just 4 days ago, we went up to the Lake for hamburgers at a favorite place. We ate on the patio and at noon it was over 70. Today they have over a foot of snow. It happens so fast. :o

Monday is "Skyfall" day for us at the movie theater and I am excited. I love 007 movies and next to Sean Connery I think Daniel Craig is the best.

Well, since I am just rambling think I will close and go to breakfast and the store. Thinking of all of you even if I don't post very much. :)

8-) Sun is shining this Sat. 32* and 34* is our forecast high temp today so not much out side stuff today except for the most important things.
I'm mostly on the mend now and s2s has happened, breakfast is done.
Last night I got the p/c scanned and updated.
I got a few things out of the holiday bins.
I have brought up the things I had on the wall and took down when we painted so I'm going to put some back up as I do the holiday decorating.

I have found a few things that the chickens will NOT eat; squash vines, straw, tree leaves, onions, pumpkin shell.

Back from walk with ddogs. I took them up the hill and all the way back down to the far end of our area - they've only been down there once before, and we walked back up along the tree line in knee deep weeds. I'm wishing there were something I could put on my skin to repel ticks - after not seeing one for ages and ages at our old house, Moses had one last Sunday. Surely we'll have a good freeze pretty soon?

Okay, getting to work.
-empty washer and try to run it w/o laundry to get excess suds out
-take photos of our not-so-great room to post for design advice on another board, will post here also in MO
-make the bed
-kitchen counter clearing
-lunch

went through books, tossed and donating
still working room to room on surface decluttering _ it's amazing to me how clutter, for me, can easily become part of the landscape of my house. I think I get so used to it.

hello all to all the dear women!

wow norma snow!
great job on walk twins
book you are sweet, I know most people don't do that. great job on laundry and other chores
nancy so happy you are on the mend!

it is always a joy to be here with you!

Drinking hot chocolate this morning. It gives me a bit more of a caffeine boost than tea does, & I need that this morning :) .

Today we are putting away all the hurricane supplies. Dh is dealing with gas cans & generator cords, I'm putting away the oil lamp, headlamps, radio, etc. I guess deep down I'm a little nervous about losing power again because I felt a twinge of anxiety when I drained the water out of the bathtubs.

Next up is desk day misc, including dusting off my holiday notebook. I have lots of ideas on scraps of paper in my master To Do notebook for Christmas but need to update that before I start on Christmas plans. I like to get most of my shopping done before Thanksgiving whenever possible because I hate waiting in long lines if I don't have to.

Be back later to cuop -- also have to find out why Cowinkie's sweetie was napping under the car with the dog yesterday :) .

Harmony, you asked about the storm we got the other day. Luckily no damage & the power stayed on. We got a few inches of snow which bent the tree limbs way down but nothing broke. Happy about that!

Sending feel better wishes to all who are sick. Answering the rest of you in my head as I read. Waving to all ~~~~~have a wonderful day! :)

Good Morning, Villagers, on this Satisfying Saturday! :D

It froze here last night, it's currently 35.8* and will be in the 40's today. The sun is shining on the frost making it sparkle pretty. :D

I'm not feeling 100% myself this morning. Congestion, coughing, and hope with a restful weekend and Monday, I'll feel better because I have 2 appt.'s this next week, which are important and I don't want to re-schedule due to it being hard to get fit in later.

My PODA: (I'm keeping it simple!)
1- To have some "Quietude" this morning.
2- To feed Bert & Ernie a velour outfit and sweater set, which all wash on delicate.
3- To Crochet; would love to finish the grson afghan.
4- To re-write a story, which needs to be butchered and started from scratch. I had 18 printed pages, decided to re-word it, to add other things, so I now need to begin anew with an outline and will just write it out by hand in a spiral notebook, from scratch and will take it from there. Hoping to send it off by or on the 13th - 15th.

Last night, I read on a Debbie Macomber book awhile. :D I downloaded some Christmas short stories and Christmas books. I had all these plans to wear my APRON today! :!: I was going to work-work-work and this a.m. I'm not feeling 100% and don't think it'd be good for me to put that Apron on.

Ta Da:
I made the bed.
I put DH's coffee and my coffee in our mugs.
I helped unload the DW.
I emailed our DIL to see how she's doing.
I browsed crochet patterns.
I answered an email to a Dfriend who's going to a memorial service today.

I hope everyone gets to feeling better and that the weather's not too bad where you live, too.
Have a wonderful Satisfying Saturday. :D

Forgot to say that I was happy for your good news yesterday, Ivy!

Dfriend has not called or arrived yet; not sure what her schedule is, but I'm going jogging in about 45 minutes.

Of course, I've been busy -- but with things not on my original li&t.

x a.m. routine is done
x sat w/ dh an ddd14 while they had bfast (dd17 was still at sleepover)
x emails this morning, lots of organizational ones -- I reported this earlier
x paid some sundry snail mail bills that had been lost in our pile
x 2 phone calls from dfriend
x errands - put bills in the mail; stopped by TJ for tamales for tonight

Next:
-phone calls re: accompanist for dd14
-look at SS lesson; get a feel for the flow - my up front parts, questions, small group activities; I think the kids will be in small groups 2x, which is a bit unusual
-leave around 3/3:15 to go for a jog

Found an accompanist for dd14! I'm so relieved; I think that was weighing on me more than I realized. She is one of 4 preferred accompanists on her oboe teacher's list, and she worked with dd14 for a recital 2.5 years ago. Best of all, she meets w/ clients at UM's music school, which is not far from us -- and I know where to go and how the parking works there so not an unknown.

Got some encouraging emails back from dfriend re: the emails I had sent out last night and today. One was slightly tricky, saying "no" to someone without offending her. . . Dfriend is a fellow teacher for the moms group and the church's children's director, a strong and very gracious woman, an excellent leader. It is amazing what a few encouraging words will do. . . . We also have a coffee date on the calendar. :)

I'm off for a jog. It is sunny and mild here, great jogging weather.

Hello all!

Okay - (((LO & You)))

I walked into to work to 3 patients waiting to be admitted. I ended up doing 3 admissions in my 8 hour shift, and had to gripe to the Supervisor since the floor Nurses were being LAZY!!! Had a headache start around noon and even though I took meds as soon as I noticed it starting by the time I left I was miserable. Figured that part of it was just exhaustion since I had put in 36 hrs in 2.75 days, so I came home, took more meds, and went straight to bed. After a 2 hour nap I am feeling a lot better, and am up and ready to get started. Going to try not to over do it.

ToDo/TaDa for Weekend
