Need to pick up limbs in the yard today and cut back the dead hostas that I see out kitchen window. Thrilled that I will be home all day--no errands to do. Don't have a list or cards, just do things as I come to them...off I go.

today is animal care and laundry room care day (one in the same) also includes cat litter. dh is still sleeping which is unusual but it was a rough day for him yesterday.

Catching Up With Posts, CUOPing through last evening

lucylee, that is actually a great idea when seating is limited and the family feels comfortable together. Maybe the blessing together gathered around the table, then a buffet-style serving, with women invited to sit at the table and men "requested to make the sacrifice" to go sit around the television instead. LOL. Men could supervise children old enough to take a plate there, and women could keep high-chair children close. That might make for the best conversation at a family meal ever.

Oh, (Nancy), I hope your washer can get fixed without much hassle. We've had enough repair bills here to do us a while.

Lilac, your dd is right that a house - any house - has to be ready for a maid and that takes time. My dd14 says she sees a niche in the service market for a combination organizer/maid service. One person would step into rooms that need more clutter help than cleaning and help get them to the point of surface cleaning. That person would know when it was time to call their office and request their cleaning counterpart when just a few rooms were ready, etc., etc. Then everybody is happy, happy, happy, no stress.

Speaking of happy, happy, happy, we recorded Duck Dynasty last evening so will enjoy watching it after dd gets home. I don't understand why they are on at 10:00 eastern time, too late for families, when they are such a family show. HRH sets dd down in front of the television and says, "watch this", especially the episodes that center on the teens.

And yes, a new episode of BBT tonight. I guess this will be our stereotypical huddle around the tv evening, but we really don't do that often.

Will have more time for CUOP later.

Worked for 90 minutes and got all the outdoor Christmas lights up. That took 30 more than I thought it would but part of the problem was that one set of lights (wrapped around a garland) only 1/4 worked (dh figured out it is a short and got them working again) and the spotlight we put in the tree is dead. Needs a new bulb but for this year we'll see about doing without it. I like it but should be able to live without it.

In searching for a backup plan for the garland lights, I pulled out the old 5W and 7W strings and realized I wouldn't be using them. I also had a big shopping bag of decorations to donate so those are now in the back of the car. Tomorrow I'll be going to a town that has a donation center for the Salvation Army.

I'm exhausted now but need to at least run a vacuum over the foyer and foot of the basement stairs because they are messy now.

I finished with part one of my dejunking again in the kitchen
next folding laundry truth be told none folded but piled on dining room table, dirty laundry still on the stairs (that I threw down stairs - emptied baskets) (putting this down so I get the push to put away today not tomorrow)
every other month job of doing the laundry area done (not perfect ) washer/dryer wiped down, moved water cooler and cleaned and vacuumed under neath, swept floor then vacuumed and rinsed. Dog beds washed and put out for them again

floor in kitchen is yucky.

now to run errands (running me... that would be fun to watch )

I am reading and relaxing some. I just checked and have annual appt with doc already set up for Dec 10. I'm supposed to ask him about testing for sleep disorders, too. I feel like I just can't keep going - four back to back to back to back days have just knocked me for a loop. I need to cut back on the time that the temple activities take and it feels like when I ask others to do something it never comes out like it should and that makes me despair.

The slab was poured yesterday for a new house, the second lot down from us yesterday. This morning when I walked, I found three large spills of an oily substance and there's evidence of drips as a truck was turning around in the street. Also noted an oil spill out on the main road at our intersection - and have reported to the city. They were also working there until close to 11 p.m. last night curing concrete with a super noisy generator and lights.....dneighbor between us and new lot has complained vociferously to the builder and I can't blame her. So I think someone will be by to check the spills later.

My energy was pretty high yesterday and really this week; I just have hit the wall..

Hello Dear Ladies,

Sunshine here and in the 50's.

Woke up tired for some reason. Today is the last day to work on weeklies and I don't think there will be much done on them. Energy seems zapped.

Did get my one mile walk in today, at a slower pace. Less than 10 chapters left in the Bible to listen to. Want to start a chronological reading for next time. Will carve out time for a sit down time for it each day. Will switch walking time to audio book, podcast or just music.

The mobile vet is coming. DCat who is 20+ is not doing well again. She is very cold and not able to walk. Last time she was sick, vet gave her some shots and she perked back up but this time I think will end differently.
