Morning Y'all..

I do have a miracle that happened last week.
When I was 13, my dgd mother gave me a ring that had been hers. It is a very unusual with a story of it's own.

Anyway I wore it everyday, even as an adult. At some point the shank broke and I had it replaced. It was a tad large, but I wore it anyway. Over the years sweetie gave me several rings as gifts so I took to rotating my rings. Six years ago I went to put my dgm's but couldn't find it. I never loose jewelry. I hunted and hunted and hunted for it. I tore the house apart looking for it. I checked all my clothing's pockets. I never found it. When I packed my house to move into this one I felt certain I would find it. I didn't.

I have missed that ring terribly. The stone is purple surrounded by yellow, white and rose gold which meant I could wear it with any thing. Many times I would reach for it and then remembered it was lost.

Last week on one of those days when I was feeling puny, I was resting in my guess room. I have a night table that is antique and I've had it since I was ten. I opened the draw to look for something and for some reason unknown to me pulled out this little white plastic basket. Something caught my eye and there nestled in the back of the basket was my ring!!! I was SO happy!!!

I so believe in angels...and my special one Andrew has found things for me many times before. Being as sick as I was for as long as I was and was starting to get scared. I prayed for a sign that I would get better and then opened the draw and found my ring. I get all the message :D

I'm now behind but that's ok. Bills are paid and several credit cards are reconciled and the chits pulled and shredded so there's less paper around. I still have a lot to do but I'm starting to make some progress.

I did get our bathroom cleaned and the guest bathroom swiped. I'll do the powder room after lunch. Unfortunately, I was supposed to be cleaning out the cupboards and the medicine chests and haven't started those chores yet.

I could use a few miracles here... for finances so I can continue to watch dgkids be on line and we can keep the house & pay the principle on it favor with the bank so we don't have to put it back on the market in the spring.

I've done 20 min. of exercise, have cooked onions to go in my eggs for lunch and I have pumpkin fries baking in the oven even if we don't eat all of them the chickens will they LOVE cooked pumpkin. They also love the rolled oat & wheat mix I got on sale this weekend too.

8-) We have some sun here today before the wind advisory kicks in with rain from the west off and on today and wetness showers off and on this week.

Good Morning, Villagers! :D

We're getting buckets of rain with high wind gusts up to 50 m. p. h. here today, blowing in off the Pacific Ocean! It's really wet and wild out there! Lots of places have flooding over roadways and it's only forecast to get worst. The mountain passes are getting dumped with snow and people traveling the passes for Thanksgiving need to be safe driving in the snow, too.

Kathryn, So sorry to hear your DH is so sick. I hope he gets well soon. Prayers for him!

Nancy, Pumpkin fries sound delicious! I've never heard of them before! :D Prayers to you!

Cowinkie, Your miracle of the ring was wonderful to read! :D I'm thrilled you found your ring! :D

OKay, I hope you're past the flu virus stuff, too! :D Glad everybody's better! Will pray everyone remains healthy, too!

Twins, Who is Terry Pratchett? :?: An author, as I continue to read. What are his books like? Fiction or non-fiction? Guess I could do a search on my own.

Lucylee, Thinking of your dparents, Ddad going to the doctor and the appt., too. Hang in there. Miracles happen.

Dee, I hope you get your miracle 'mood changer' as the a.m. goes on. :D

Waving to scattered, helia, harmony, MT, harriet, and others. :D

My PODA:
- crochet dson's hat
- to read
- to study workshop notes
- to write a letter with a card
- to do my calf stretches, walk about 20 min., and end with stretches and icing.

TO DO:
-Sweep the utility room
- Put on a different tablecloth on the table
- Scrub the bathrooms
- To do my ankle PT exercises

TA DA:
-Read my devotion, Novena, prayed, and wrote in my journal.
- Helped DH empty the DW
- Read obits
- Read a newsletter and answered an email
- I put a pillow on a folding chair at my desk, while I type at my laptop, to elevate my ankle. It's sort of uncomfortable, too.

Have a great day, Everybody! :D

Peeking in. Making some progress.

x a.m. routine
x spent some time chatting w/ dh earlier; it is so hard to find time to talk together, these days. The girls are up until 10:30/11:00 doing homework many nights, plus dh and I have our share of meetings, etc. that keep us out and about in the evenings too.
x called the honeybaked ham store; will probably pick up tomorrow
x making progress on Hebrew

I missed the mail so I'll drive a t-you note to my parents from dd17 to the mailbox later. Hoping for a jog later too; it would help my state of mind.

Terry Pratchett sounds s-o-o-o familiar; I wonder if ds has read his books? I'll try to remember to ask him next time I see him.

That is a heartwarming miraculous story, Cowinkie!!

((Nancy))

Off to more Hebrew!

saying hello to each and everyone of you!!!

dh is in a mood so trying to stay away from him... his mood is never drastic - you just know he seems ornery underneath that calm demeanor - but it is there to say the least.
it is always a joy to be here with you!

I'm going down for my nap now.

I got the powder room cleaned and got the cupboards cleaned in the three bathrooms. Still have to do the medicine chests. I'm getting better about tossing stuff, two more overstuffed grocery bags filled with junk tossed. Dh had 5 empty bottles of the kind he likes the best. He now has three. Even that is overkill but a compromise.

Ds ate a half can of soup and had some crackers. Then he showered and is now back in bed. His fever is under 100 and he hasn't been taking anything for it so that's a positive sign although the shower might have lowered it. He has had a sore neck for days now and a pressure in his head. All I can think of is meningitis but no discomfort swallowing. He said his pee was a darker colour one day but is back to normal. I'm glad I'm home and can keep an eye on him, he's usually sick when I'm away.

Loved the story of the 'found ring', Cowinkie. Still hope that my 'anniversary' necklace will be found. DH asked me the other day if I ever found it. I, too, never lose jewelry so this is confounding me. DH had it made for me with the birthstones of all our grandchildren & step grandchildren, so it ended up being several $100's $$$. I also have checked every pocket and anything it might have hung from. When the time is right I will also have the miracle of finding it.

Been really cold today. And gloomy! Wonder if it is where Sunny & Harmony are.

DD and GD have been gone for hours. DH & DSIL just left for L owe's for some electrical stuff. I spent nearly an hour holding a light for dh in our shower. He's trying to fix the light in there. Ended up finally breaking it so has gone for new fixture and light bulbs for the living room and new ballast for the laundry room.
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!
