Re: Get into the Act Wednesday
Hi Lisa - thanks for the start while its still Wednesday here. I will catch up on yesterdays 6 pages later.
What can I do to make a difference - talk to someone and encourage them to really want to do what they know they want to do .... that it will make a difference.
today
yoga
financial matters taken care of. Reread letter from a company that has frozen / limited withdrawals since gfc and fingers crossed they will pay us out over next 2 years if all goes to plan. I'd initially read the letter as 5% of the ballance - but its of ballance at years end - so there is an end in sight. cept I'm not sure about the partial cents, and they have an escape clause in there too if they can't do what they said. Heres hoping its over/ money repaid by end of 2014. Thats inheritance money I'd put away until it was needed - meant to be accessable easily when it was put there.
met with some folk - talked a little.
groceries and chemist shop for suppliments. 50% off was a happy thing.
The ginseng5 I take is for adrenal glands and it seems to help me get past the basic minimum I often get done so I'm guessing it makes a difference. Msg to self. Jump back on the suppliment band wagon.
Off to walk dog now.

Re: Get into the Act Wednesday
Good Morning!
Lisa - thanks for the great start
Lynlee - hopefully the financial matter will turn out with the best possible ending.
This morning PODA -
** LO to school
** meet with lawyer re: next week hearing
** pickup/deliver stuff to friend with cancer
** GW drop off (2 large bags filled during last week declutter sessions)
** Quick list buying trip at Sam's
** UPS delivery (Christmas gifts ordered)
--------
Hoping to have that done and back home by noon (hopefully earlier). The MPB equipment installation crew will be onsite today (hoping), but it will take them hours of travel so we don't expect them until noonish. My part in this repair effort is to be tool/part go-fer.....and to make sure food/drinks are plentiful. I started the crock pot before 4am this morning. It is packed full of BBQ and fixin's. I should be able to easily feed a half dozen hungry men. If another meal is needed for them, I'll get take out (pizza or something). This crew works until they are done.....still working at midnight isn't unusual for them. Going to be a long day but one we are looking forward to. We need to get back in business!

I hope your day goes well OKay - as well as can be - and MPB working well at days complete.
If the financial thing goes well I'll get my money back without losing anything accept the interest I once expected. 24months should do that if they can keep to the proposed pay back of all unit holders.
time to wash up. then ready for bed good night

Re: Get into the Act Wednesday
Dfriend has emailed and is still not feeling well this morning, so no 9 a.m. coffee date. I'll miss seeing dfriend one-on-one, but that also opens up my schedule a bit more today and gives me time to buy dfriend B a birthday card before I meet her for her bday lunch.
Thank you for the mirror suggestions. I am intrigued about using Coca Cola. . . .I may try that some time as an experiment. As it turns out, I started by using the ordinary windex and a clean rag -- and it turned out fine this time.
I wonder if the rags I was using the first time weren't really clean? It is odd -- I used a couple different rags b/c of that very suspicion.
Cleaning Question: Since you ladies were so helpful with the mirror, I have another cleaning question. I have a stainless steel fridge w/ the water dispenser in the door. Beyond the normal smudges that show up so easily on stainless steel (now that we have 3 stainless steel appliances in our kitchen, I don't think I like them after all. . . . ), there are 2 striped stains right under the water dispenser, and the plastic tray under it also has "stains" on it. I have tried stainless steel cleaners, windex, vinegar. I even ordered some special cleaning paste online. None of them cleared up the stains. One thing I tried actually scratched the surface a little -- but I think that was the cleaning pad I was using. Though I could be wrong, my first guess is that the stains are from a build up of minerals, which is slightly odd since we do have softened water-- dh likes soft water -- though there have been short times in the past when the softener ran out of salt before dh could refill it. Any other suggestions? Maybe I should retry the vinegar and figure out a way to get it to stay on the fridge for a long time before wiping it off.
I'm off to s2s and the morning routine. It is nice that the house is tidy and somewhat clean. I did a quick vacuum yesterday evening.

Re: Get into the Act Wednesday
I'm taking my senior friend out to finish up her Christmas shopping so that's one act for someone. As well, I got an email from someone looking for the Sunday School curriculum. I was signed up to teach but she signed up as well so I gladly handed it over to her. I'm there every Sunday - she comes about once every 6 weeks so I want her to feel useful when she wants to help out. Plus that frees up a few hours later this week. Yay!
Did the treadmill, have s2s but hair is still wet. Just finished my breakfast.
Ds was up at 6 because he was so hungry but went back to bed after having some clementines. I'll wake him up now to make sure he's ok before I leave in 15 minutes.

Re: Get into the Act Wednesday
Was trying to think on the 'act' for today, but maybe I already did it. Stopped and bought GD14 Cinna melts from McD's on the way to take her to school. Came back home and cleaned in our room -just straightening surfaces. Have a multitude of hot spots in here.
DH has gone with dsil to try to procure some supplies for the Christmas float for dd (school).
I'm leaving in 5 minutes to get my hair cut. It's in dire need! I had a perm 5 weeks ago today and it's been gone, gone, gone for at least 3 weeks, if not more. So will have it trimmed today and try for another perm in a month or so. Hopefully before Christmas.
DD found out from the bank yesterday that the amount they've been withdrawing each month is for a hospitalization policy for dsil.
She was so hoping it was a policy they had at least thought about some years ago, similar to A f l a c. Oh well, something will come along. Then dsil found out yesterday that his dr can't fill out his disability papers. Seems that the Dr's office was supposed to refer him (and make an appointment with) a neurosurgeon many weeks ago. Someone dropped the ball. The girl who was SUPPOSED to do it is no longer even there. She did make an appointment for him to start with a pain management dr and that was done. He knew nothing of the neurosurgeon and figured that was changed I guess. It will work out, it will work out!

Re: Get into the Act Wednesday
Quiet morning in the village and here at home today! I went back to bed for awhile after dh left for work and slept in. Only thing on schedule for today is a massage, i.e. body work at 1:30, hopefully to work out some of the achyness in my hips. I think I'll plan to run some errands before I get there...
PODA:
grocery
gas
electronics recycling
goodwill
WF
temple
office to get letterhead I left there
Massage
routines, etc here at home
Last weekend we worked on the garage, a bunch of stuff got loaded into my car to go to Goodwill, library, recycling and so on so I need to work toward getting that stuff dropped off.
DDogs still haven't had their walk, so I need to change and get them out....
This round:
-change and brush teeth
-walk ddogs
-kitchen counters
-what's for dinner?
-straighten great room

Re: Get into the Act Wednesday
Ugh I am rather sluggish this morning and I have a ton to do today. Just got my 2nd cuppa hopefully that will help.
I have answered some emails and created a shuttle plan for tomorrow. I will be taking my Mini-Van to the conference so that I can make trips back and forth from the airport to the barracks since the Navy is not approving rental cars, or taxi fare on orders. As is stands now I have 4 trips planned, will have to see from there.
Need to dry clean my uniforms (do it in my dryer), get my hair cut, dental appt, and hopefully finish cleaning the LR and set-up Christmas.
Helia - have you tried a Mr. C Eraser, or some baking soda paste?
Dee - LOL! I am getting a haircut today too for 2 reasons; 1= have to look good in uniform all weekend, and 2= people keep asking if I am growing it out (I wear it in a bob) which tells me it is looking ragged.
Twins - I want a massage... do you hear me whining in there?
Good Morning Lisa B, Kathryn, Lynlee, and OKay.
ToDo
d2s
coffee
gather uniforms
dry-clean uniforms
pack for weekend
clean LR
put up christmas
dental appt (3pm)
haircut (woohoo my gal is working 4-8 which works perfect with my schedule)
Dinner
TaDa's
Check emails & send out shuttle plan
Yikes I've been awake 1.5 hours and have very little to show! Need to get my poop in a group.

Slow here to, I think just b/c I can. Also went to bed too late after finally capturing escaping cat -- who has, btw, escaped outside once again this morning when I was letting Pepper in.
