Trying desperately to get some things done before I get pulled into the computer. It is sooo easy for me to lose track of time when I sit down in this chair.
Just wanted to let y'all know I survived shopping yesterday and though I am not finished, I certainly made good progress.
I did try to cuop quickly... (((IVY))) thinking of you and all your concerns right now. Hope ddil regains some strength and the pregnancy problems become easier to deal with.
Hope y'all have a good night and a good Monday to start the week off right!
I did cuop but it's late and I need to get to bed.
This morning was church and I attended my adult Sunday School which I like, and then I didn't go in to church. Church sermons just haven't been "hitting" me...the whole time I was ill we were doing a series about sin and Satan, etc., and it was very "down" though it was supposed to be uplifting because after all, we have the power over all that... but I surely needed some happy feel-good stuff for a change. We didn't have a particularly uplifting Thanksgiving message on thanksgiving either, which made me disappointed too. DH says I missed the first of our Christmas messages and it was very nice. So, I will probably go next week. We used to have a little reading and light an advent candle each Sunday but since I wasn't there I don't know if we're doing it this year.
A friend at church gave us a tray of little tomato plants. I told DH I'd help him plant them. Yikes that was hard! We've put a fence around the garden to keep critters out and I had to squeeze past that. Then, because he helped this year, we planted everything way too close and still have things coming up and nowhere to step. But we got the tomatoes in the ground and I picked a huge bowl of green beans too. It's really hard to get up and down in that crowded space with nothing to support myself on, but we did it.
Sewed the rest of the day. My hands are aching now, especially the left one. I think I'll heat up my rice bag and put it around my hands. I got all 24 quilt squares sewed and I laid them out on the spare bed to check the placement. It's very bright with every color imaginable in it. I'll sew it together tomorrow.
