I scrubbed the floor of our shower today. The no-name magic erasers are great for that. Got that idea from Lucylee. It does pay to hang around with all of you ladies! Waving to those not mentioned!

Okay--Glad your DDad was having a good day! I love gingerbread houses.

Helia--Hope this is just a 24-hour bug you've got.

Dr visit was a wash . The office had me scheduled for the wrong dr and the wrong time. They weren't going to reschedule me for the one I wanted because I had seen a different dr. 5 years ago. I told the office I refused to see my previous dr. And If I couldn't see the one I wanted I'd go elsewhere. New dr agreed to take me on so I have an appoint ment for thur at 8am. I disliked my previous dr. He treated me like a 6 yr old and acted like I was stupid when I asked questions. My mobile specialist was wonderful. He took time to answer questions and treated me like I was his only patient. Call me spoiled but I'm not going to anyone who doesn't make me the same way.

Helia...hope you're feeling better.

Dee - that sounds like a fishy quack to me.

Cowinkie - I totally agree about the Dr. I had a ortho Dr that was the same only he kept pushing Oxycontin even after I said no, after the 2nd visit with the same result I insist to XDh that he take me straight to my PCP and insist she find me a new Ortho.

Ugh, what a long day. I talked to DP/BFF who told me that the census at work is horribly low, so I called work and asked to be made the 1st to call off. Hopefully, I will get an extra day off. Maybe then I can finally get Christmas up.

Good Evening, Villagers!

I didn't have time to post earlier today. I slept in, then after a shower, dressing, decided to go to Safeway with DH. Came home, sorted the mail and put groceries away, ate lunch.
I've been crocheting on a stuffed cat toy for a Christmas gift. Then I'll do girl baby preemie clothes, for a change of pace, and then get back to the last Christmas toy, which is a stuffed dog.
I walked 45 minutes today. So that's good.
My timeline is to crochet the last bit for Christmas BY Christmas and to crochet for the baby, if she comes early. The last 2 grandsons were 3-month preemies and Ddil is 6 mos. along now.
I've been browsing preemie cap patterns and got out some patterns and baby yarns. I think this will be like a breath of fresh air to me.
I wrote 1 pen pal a letter, have 2 to write yet, don't know if I shall get to it tonight or tomorrow.
Have a few outlined stories, which I "could" get logged by their deadline, however, enjoying working under pressure, I may put that task off for a few more days. I have 9 - 10 days left till deadline. So there is a timeline on those, too. If I don't do them, I can always turn them into stories for April - June instead.
DH has been very tired. A large maple tree limb, which rotted, fell down into our driveway. We managed to get out by driving on the side of the driveway, I thought we'd get stuck in mud, but did not. He later went up with gloves and threw it off, it had broken up in pieces, but was large and heavy, so he's been falling asleep on the sofa on and off this afternoon - evening.
We're awaiting "Parenthood" to come on. I'm signing off for the night, so I can finish sewing the last leg and arms, and ears on the cat, stuff it and put it in my hope chest for safe keeping.

I hope everybody had a good day. I didn't really have time to cuop today either. Will try to be better tomorrow.

Just checking in. No timeline here... sheesh. Nah, I take that back -- I do have cards for a six-week Christmas-prep plan. I have not really followed them at all, but I did get the tree & other decorations up Thanksgiving weekend, and I've started shopping.

I am trying sooo sooo hard to get something done before I sit down @ the computer.
That means there is usually no time left TO sit down @ the computer.
Last night I ironed enough to do most people a month... and washed two loads of clothes... AFTER dh & I went to Wmart, put away groceries, and spent waaay too long @ dmil's.
Also s/s kitchen, which was long overdue.

Tonight, I worked till almost 5:00 @ school -- school newspaper week...
then went to dmil's to get dh, who had returned her van...
then to local restaurant to celebrate ddad's birthday -- which is actually tomorrow...
then back here w/dparents, ds, ddil, and dgs, for ddad to open present...
and since they left, I've read the newspaper & been here at the computer.

I'm going to bed a little earlier tonight. It has been midnight or later for too many nights in a row!

Hello, villagers ~
Oh, I am so glad that meeting is over! We had a good time, but my part could have gone a lot better.

In analyzing where it went awry, I think it was because we had the good problem of too many people in attendance. I had plenty of supplies for the class because I thought everyone would be able to make 2 ornaments. Then more people kept coming in the door and I was really glad to see everyone -- except that the ornament I was teaching was just complicated enough that it needed a small group.

We had to add another row of tables, and then those people couldn't see what I was doing. I wish we could have done my original plan and used a projector and screen, but the banks of lights in the room won't allow it to be dark enough to see a screen but still light enough to do what the screen is showing. And they're the kind of halogen lights that once you turn off any of them to watch a video, they take a reeeeealy loooooong time to come back on.

Oh well, we all got through it and laughed a lot. Then we ate cookies and drank hot apple cider.

I had thought I could recuperate tomorrow morning before taking donations from the sewing group to a women's shelter in The Big City. However, there is a message on the answering machine saying that someone donated a bunch of stuff at the Tiny Town library for a sale the library group is having at the end of January. The person who said she had room to store everything in her garage is out of town for a week. They want me to come in the morning and take away everything. Well ... if it's only 2 bags of stuff, I can squeeze that much into my car until M is back from her trip. Any more than that is going to be a problem. I absolutely refuse to bring it into my house. I'm trying to get stuff out!

I need to decompress in front of the tv for a few minutes before I go up to wash my face. Hopefully I can get a full night's sleep.

Booksaver--You have earned some time to "decompress!" That word gives me trouble...after DS's wedding I announced to DH and DD that it would be so nice to get home and "decompose!" It's nice you had a good turnout.
