Dee - You and I must have been posting at the same time, so I will just move my post over here.

I am very thankful for the togetherness I find here at our little corner of the www.

I am not going to post a l!$t this morning as everything depends on the outcome of my meeting at work.

I amazingly enough actually got a good nights sleep thanks impart to S leepytime Tea and Melatonin. I am now up and d2s, working on my coffee level.

Have a great day Villagers!

Glad you got a decent night's sleep, scattered. Too funny -at least you know where our thoughts are today. :) I also found it strange that one of the best night's sleep I had in a long time was the night that Hurricane Sandy hit. Figured I'd be awake most of the night listening to the sounds of her lifting our solid awnings, rocking the RV, etc. Notta. Didn't even hear dh get up around 2 and go out on the roof to secure the 'awnings'. Amazing!

Have to take gd to school shortly. DH is going with me. Taking some things over to dbil/dsil's. Then I'm taking him to dd's school about 10 to finalize preparations on the Christmas float. DD called on her way to work to tell me that chairs are already lining one street on her way. Funny part was the sprinklers were on, soaking everything in their path. There is a chance of showers today and they're a bit concerned about that and some of the decorations on the float. DD said some have asked her how 'big' this parade could be anyway??? Well, there's usually at least 30,000 lining the parade route. Us? We're choosing to watch on TV.

Take a deep breath, scattered, and go in there with the confidence that I'm sure this meeting deserves. My gut tells me it's not about YOU. Praying for that to be true.

Good Morning!

OH What a wonderful village!

Our court proceedings was cancelled (see J&C) for today. Late yesterday i was scrambling to undo the prep for it. Made several phone calls & emails notifying those who were involved ........I just remembered Deputy sheriff that was going to testify. Wonder if she got notified of cancellation? I'll give the lawyer office a call when it opens this morning to make sure. DH and I are emotionally wrung out. We were mentally & emotionally geared up for it and now find ourselves a bit numb. We talked about it last night and acknowledged the difficult moment. When put in perspective of what some others are facing, this is a minor bump in the road.

Yesterday I made remarkable progress on the house and paperwork backlog. I was very pleased with effort and results. I finished the day with 133 completed cards accounting for 22 hours & 17 minutes of my day. I still have a looong way to go and hope to make good headway again today.

Grumble, grumble. Today was supposed to be the day we celebrated LO's permanent custody.

Oh well, perhaps Scattered will be able to check in with good news for us.

I'm up and at it. Need to get back ribs (great sale) from the grocery store in the same village as my senior friend so I'll be going over there this morning.

This afternoon is shot with meeting and Christmas Tea. And then, hopefully a nap.

Today is heavy housework day so that will get pushed to tomorrow except for a load of laundry and maybe the kitchen chores since they only take 30 minutes.

(((scattered))) Oh, I'm so sorry! --And surprised. Know that all of us TOGETHER are here for you! I'll be keeping you in prayer.

I'll need to catch up on the postponement of the court case for OK et al.

I know it is almost 10, but I got up about 20 minutes ago. I did get up to see the girls off first thing this a.m. and then lay back down on the sofa and slept for almost 2 more hours. I was awake in the middle of the night for an hour or so. . . .Still, I got about 9 or 10 hours sleep last night. I think I'm still recovering from this stomach bug -- and I'm also flirting with a sinus infection. I might try an Advil later; I'm worried it will upset my tummy -- but maybe it won't.

I'm drinking tea for the first time since Monday. I didn't let it steep as long as I usually do. I'm hoping it will sit OK. . ..

Goals for today:
-back to the groc. store
-make a rice salad to take to party tonight
-progress on Cmas gifts
-call vet; Pepper's eye looks either infected or scratched
-help dh with prep for Thursday dinner crew
~6:40, leave for church moms group party until 10:00. I am giving a ride home to 2 of our teen child care workers who will be joining us. They are homeschooled, which is why they can work for us on Thursday mornings. . .
-laundry - towels
