THREE ON TUESDAY
What 3 things will make a difference in YOUR day, YOUR week,YOUR month?
My #1 when we get back (late) today will be to get a good start on Christmas cards. Sadly I've not done one as yet. Seems life has gotten in the way! I'll think of 2 more as the morning progresses.
Have to take gd14 to school, then dh over to dbil's, then I got to church. Our women's group is touring Lighthouse Ministries today and then going to lunch, back to pick up dh and then gd and then home! Another 60-mile day, I'm sure!
Things were somewhat better around here last night -at least until a little after 8. GD then did a complete turn around and the attitude plus was back. DD herded her out of the living room before much damage (emotionally/mentally) could be done. This morning dsonil went to work with a friend. Said he was going to 'try' it. It's the first time since June 4th! In OHO he definitely needs to be out and doing SOMETHING.
Trucks are here to start working on the road. Time to vamoose!

Re: THREE ON TUESDAY
Dee, I will definitely join you on that one.get a good start on Christmas cards. Sadly I've not done one as yet.
So...
Three things --
1. Christmas cards
2. Grade papers
3. -- I'll keep thinking... I haven't wrapped anything, either, so that would be a good one for me, too, OKay!
Tomorrow is another day.

Re: THREE ON TUESDAY
1. Christmas cards (1/3 done from me, 100% done from dh)
2. Make snack mix
3. Writing church service components and prayers (for the 16th and 30th)
In each case, a start has been made although with the snack mix it is only that I have the ingredients on hand.
Unfortunately, I won't likely get to any of these today since I have three things to do just to get through today:
1. drive into city and pick up Christmas video resources for meeting tonight (90 minutes.)
2. Senior's luncheon (eat and sing - 3+ hours.)
3. Presbytery meeting (50 miles away, in another 'country' - Quebec, different language on signs, different rules of the road) with a driving time of 3 hours and 4 hours for the meeting.
So just getting through today without melting down will be an accomplishment that shows I'm getting stronger and will be able to face Christmas with a bit more confidence about my capabilities.

Re: THREE ON TUESDAY
Dee - Your better than me... I always want to send Christmas cards and never do it...
(((Hugs))) to you and the DFamily.
Okay & Lucylee - Good Morning!
(((Kathryn))) - I have confidence in you, sending you strength for your day.

I also need to try to get a hold of gentleman at the agency that called me Friday, I called yesterday and left a message. Need to send out more resumes and a few emails.
ToDo/TaDa's
d2s
coffee
DS13 to dentist then school
Clear off DR table
Find fleece
find patterns
cut out fabric
sew
send out resumes
make phone calls
swing by college
Dinner
BBL

Re: THREE ON TUESDAY
I've decided not to go into the city this morning. I was going to pick up Christmas videos from the library so people could borrow them from me at the meeting tonight. It is a make work project for myself which also means I have to go back in tomorrow to put them back in the library. At this time of year, I don't need make work projects and tomorrow is currently a free day so I don't want to mess with that.
Ok, with extra time, I'll go find some chores to do like watering plants and refilling vitamin dispensers.

Re: THREE ON TUESDAY
Good morning to Dee, OKay, lucylee, Kathryn, scattered, and all who come after!
DM has an eye appointment at 10:15, so I have to be out of here by 9:45 to take her. Next up is card 7 of 27: start laundry, which I should be able to do before I have to leave.
Hmm... three things -- day, week, and month. Hmm...
Day: stay on track with dailies
Week: finish clearing off card table, so I can fold it up and put desk in its place, so we have room for the Christmas tree, which goes where the desk lives for the rest of the year
Month: finish setting up my "top ten" list, and don't be shy about delegating!
As for Christmas cards, several years ago, I purchased New Year's cards, figuring I'd be more likely to get them done once the pre-Christmas rush was over. Um... yeah. Still haven't sent them.
Do I remember correctly, Dee, that this gd is adopted and has issues (FAS or such?) from her birth family?
OKay, where can I find Elly's meal plan? (Inquiring minds want to know!)
Good luck with the papers, lucylee! Personally, I think English teachers should have an extra prep period; grading essays and other such written assignments is a lot more time-consuming than, say, checking geometry proofs.
Bonne chance with your Presbytery meeting, Kathryn!
Glad you gave the videos a second thought.
So glad your dentist was able to fit your DS in, scattered.

Re: THREE ON TUESDAY
Mystery - Here ya go.....C&P Elly's menu from Monday PWYC....
LO to school. I'm debating on calling his doctor. He has told me his throat hurts the past 48 hours. I looked at it this morning and it is bright red. He is still on antibodies from his surgery....so surely he can't get an infection....so WHERE DID THE RED come from? Surely...surely....surely he doesn't have strep throat AGAIN. If I ignore it....will it go away since he is already taking antibodies?
The 4 generations shopping adventure has been cancelled today. Two of the generations are waiting on a check that didn't arrive on Monday, so their shopping in on hold. I'm greatly relieved to not have to shop today......but acknowledge that I am just postponing the necessary task.Need to plan some special meals. One will be lasagna. That was our standard Christmas Eve meal way back when kids were growing up. Then we switched to Chinese food somewhere along the way! Will have ham on Christmas day with DD here. So we will have leftover ham. Also can't go wrong with chili...just need to decide what to have when...
