Harriet - thanks for opening us with such a trove of trivia.

Dee - Have a great day with DD, (((Hugs))) to DSonil and everyone.

Lynlee - your calendar is in the Bathroom, :o actually sounds like a great idea that I never would have thought of.

(((Twins))) - here's hoping you find a way around all your roadblocks

Helia - I love your family tradition, enjoy your free day

(((Elly))) - I shake my head at my Mother all the time, age does not always equate to maturity.

Blessed & OKay - Have a great day.

I use a purse planner, I have for almost 20 yrs now and have been known to call it my "Brain". I got away from using it while I was a Nurse Manager because I used my O utlook program, I also put items into my O utlook at home but that can be hit or miss. DS20 uses his phone calendar which I have tried a couple of times but it just doesn't work for me... maybe if I had a smart phone, but I refuse and still use my "dumb" phone.

Slept in and woke to the home phone ringing... which is weird in the morning. Checked the machine and 1 call was from the Mortage Co? No idea why they are calling actually sent the payment early last month. Then had a message that DS13's band concert is postponed because they are not ready... I am sure he is mad as he has been practicing!

I am in my robe because I came down to check the phone, I made the coffee and now DS20 is now up getting ready for work. I am taking the day off of the job hunt. Going to work on Christmas presents. I also probably need to run to the school to pick-up all of the merchandise for the fundraiser. DP/BFF said she would take it to work for me if I separate it. :P Need to go get dressed and get moving.

ToDo/TaDa's
d2s
:D coffee
cut out pattern
cut out fabric
pin together
sew
get ds13 to clean-up kitchen (he has avoided it 2 days in a row  )
Dinner

Good morning, villagers ~
Still trying to make steady progress through the chore cards this week. Tonight the trash and recycle bins have an appointment at the curb, so filling them is today's priority.

I noticed that Scattered asked about DPC = Dreaded Phone Call. It reminded me that Indiana gave us a handy list of acronyms in the News section when we first moved into this site.
http://www.shesorganized.net/phpbb/view ... f=14&t=244

There's one we don't use much any more :
SHEM - SHE motivational after posting three posts in a row.

That might need more explanation for someone like Scattered's lurker friend. (Please come talk to us, Scattered's friend, we'll try not to be scary! :) )

"Back in the old days ..." we were on an unthreaded forum with very limited space. It would scroll off how many posts were allowed, so after a few hours the older posts would disappear. It also limited how many characters could be used in a post, so messages had to be quite short.

One of the members felt one day that she was monopolizing the board with her check-ins, so she came up with the idea that whenever she posted 3 times without anyone else adding a message, she would be required to post a motivational quote, tip, or joke. Other members liked the idea and it became a normal practice.

Funny today's topic should be calendars....

The first of the gift ones arrived yesterday and the post mistress asked us if we had room for it or if we needed more (it was an ironic joke, she knows just how many we get each year!)

I have a calendar in 2 bathrooms, the mud room, my desk in the living room, over my desk in the kitchen, a second one in the kitchen, one in the office, and one in the my creative room. There's a month-over-two-pages purse calendar (I work best when I can see a month at a time) and we are heavy Google Calendar users. There's a Google calendar for my health, meal plan, my SHE system, household activities, church activities (which actually displays on the two church websites as well), travel possibilities, business work paid, business work volunteer and we are linked to the garbage pick-up schedule from the city.

I was just thinking that I should put up new wall calendars behind the old ones to be ready for the new year. I journal daily and put notes info. plans pretty much anything goes. I've been using my phone for some things and it has a calculator too use it the most I think!

I think we will be keeping the net b/c of the need for banking paying stuff on line etc. that h. does.

I have just hung the first calendar I've had since we left the house. Not much room for a calendar in an RV (no wall space)

I've been using Calendar Creator for years on the computer. I have entered everyone's birthday/anniversary and it gives me a visual picture of our travels. One can repeat an event for however many days in a row or recur it once a week/month/year. It is a lot easier to change when I'm planing our travels (how long we stay parked or travel days)

So far today I have made some Chai Latte Tea (yum - o will post later in recipe section), washed a sink full of dishes (2 more to go at least), looked at 5 loads of laundry done yesterday that need to be folded and thought about filing piles of paper in the den.

DH is off with car for headlight recall - don't know when he will be home. Time I get going so he doesn't think I'm eating bon bons and watching TV all day. Really I'm eating Kisses and typing on the computer   :o  :D .

That will teach me to scan posts too quickly. I thought MT's dh was kissing her!

I've done nothing all morning except plug in the electric toothbrush to charge.

I didn't even exercise.

Time for lunch.
