Just barely catching up on posts. Merry Christmas ( a little late) and a very Happy Birthday to Norma. I'm about 20 minutes past the day for both!

Went to dbil/dsil's last night after church for a get-together and dinner. Had a liesurely morning here opening gifts. We then went to DSisIL's sister's for dinner and another get-together time. We're all bushed tonight.

Spoke and/or texted with both DSs' families. As close as both families are to the firefighters involved in the tragedy up home, they both pretty well decided to take the bull by the horns and forcefully make today count and enjoy their families.

Congratulations, Harriet's dd14. So proud of you! Read your note, Harriet. Tell DS how much we appreciate all of them too. For the most part we are proud of all 1st responders of all types. I doubt the general public realizes how much they and their families sacrifice to serve the rest of us on a day to day basis. I know many do, but we all tend to take this for granted. A fireman or policeman knows the inherent dangers in their jobs, but for the most part ignore them as they do their job. But none expect to face what these men did. I know DS-R will sometimes raz DS-A about the time he spends doing this job, but I also think he's really proud of him and so many others. Guess I got on roll there..........

I'm up because tonight I can't seem to sleep. Maybe soon. I took a benadryl a short time ago and came out to the office to browse a little.

Blessings to all of you. Those in the path of big snow, thunderstorms, tornadoes -stay safe and warm.
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

Happy Birthday Norma and others who I may have missed!

We had a good family gathering. H's bro. came and our kids as well and dd's family they enjoyed it I think.

Then I baked up the cookie dough after they left as I had time and was a bit wound up after they left.

I cleaned up, h. broke a glass and it shattered glad the food was put away when that happened. Got the floor mopped so that is a good thing.
Feeling better this evening.
