I am up and d2s, although I still need to put on a touch of make-up and brush my teeth. I have to leave a little earlier today as I have to go to the office on the other side of town. My new job is actually two part-time positions combined into one, I work even days at the Downtown office and odd days at the West-end office (I live on the South-east side of town). I have never been to the West-end office so this will be an adventure.
Hopefully tonight I will have some energy, I really need to spend some time in the LR and get a lol or two done.
Ohh and before I leave I need to change my work bag to the new one I got from work yesterday.

I'm up and s2s, emptied the dishwasher, dried LOL, made coffee and had first cup while checking FB and CUOP. I'm ready to set cards up for today and get going.
@ 4:55 the roo started in crowing h. was not happy asking why he was crowing now and said don't turn on the light it will just encourage him yesterday he said it made him stop after a few min.; the neighbors shop lights were on and the roo two streets over was crowing and ours was answering it! He roosts in a diff. place now on the top roost where I can't reach w/ out a ladder will have to remove that roost the night I need to catch him but at least he has moved out of the nest box. I got 2 eggs yesterday.
But the silver lining today for me is I get an extra hour today my bs was up and I've already taken meds. for that.
I still need to put away folding chairs from having family over on Christmas.
I have granny duty but not till around four p.m.

I'm always more positive in the morning - some evenings I just think of Lucylee and Scarlet - I'll think about it tomorrow. DH fusses at me if I don't answer the phone in the evening every time it rings, and at times I just don't feel like talking to anyone then, especially my mother when it's the second time in a day, and I've dealt with my dsis. But I do think my dmom's memory is failing as Dmom and I have talked numerous times about her mammogram appointment today and that we're having lunch with my dkids and she doesn't seem to remember from day to day. I'm also going to take her by my office, hopefully, to get her signature notarized on the court forms I need for dsis. We have an appointment on Jan 8 with her general practitioner so we'll hang on 'til then.
Another busy day going today, with lunch out, dmom's appointment and a trip by my office (and she also urgently wants me to look at a bill for some blood work that was done in August that ins didn't cover) and also having her try on Christmas clothes to see what will work for her and so I can pin up the hems. Tonight we are taking young dneigbors out for dinner to celebrate her MBA received this month; I don't know whether dkids will go with us or not....
I have checks to sign at the temple and can do that with dmom in the car since it's near her mammogram appointment.
I should probably leave around 11 a.m. to get to dmom's, and I definitely need to round up some BGS this morning. Goal for today is to do a.m. routine and some dailies before I take off this morning. Not going to try for much today beyond what's already penciled in. As I work this morning, I need to work on groc list and to-dos...too much bouncing around in my head today.

Was to bed at midnight and the alarm woke me at 6.
Dh and dsil headed off into the storm. Ds arrived home just as dh went to pull out of the garage so he backed up to let ds in. I had shoveled in front of the garage so dh could get out, and ds had plowed through the snow-plow drift at the street end so dh got out fine. The plow had just been by and ds said secondary roads are bad but better than the highway and dh's route was secondary roads so he should be ok.
Ds spent an hour venting to me. It was a very bad night at work. Last year two babies died on top of regularly sick people who put off until the 26th heading to the ER; this year it was just staffing issues so ds was doing his regular assigning of beds to get people out of the ER, break coverage for the call centre staff (normal) and admissions to the birthing unit. He hates doing that because there is so much more paperwork, plus each patient coming in, turns into TWO patients and the paperwork on the second patient has to be done IMMEDIATELY because babies need lots of ID and often need tests done right away.
He stayed at work after his shift and vented a bit but still had more to get out before he could relax enough to sleep.
I tidied up the fridge a bit and moved more stuff to the cooler in the garage. Since it is well below freezing here, I have it covered in newspaper and a horse blanket. Nothing has frozen in there yet, but I feel like I'm pushing my luck. Then I found some veggies that didn't make it into the cooler, but made it to the garage. They are a solid block of ice so the paper, cooler, and blanket are doing a good job!
Now to eat my breakfast. I hear dd is up now so there may be more chatting there too.
I have a sermon to write so was hoping to spend time on that this morning while the house was quiet.
We're getting ready to take off for DeLand -to the pancake grist mill. We could make pancakes at home -but it's the adventure. Hoping to avoid route I-4, if we can.
Hoping gd will be in a good mood today. DD told her this morning that we've noticed the behavior pattern -when it gets to be 7:30 or so, she turns into Dr. Jekyl. That means she needs to get to bed earlier even when there ISN'T school the next day. Last night we were all ready to do something!
I'm s2s and have had a small piece of O&H Kringle (from Racine, WI) -yum! (Minus the frosting, I scrape that off). DS-R and DDIL#1 sent us 2 for Christmas. They are so good, but so expensive. It truly is a treat. DDIL is from that area originally. She, her dsis and her dmom all own a share of the Packers. So of course dgs8 has now become a big fan. For his birthday he got a jersey and a cheese head.

Wishing everyone a good day. dd's are flying to Florida and it always makes me nervous (but I never tell them). they travel together and I dislike planes tremendously but want them to have so much fun in their lives.
dd younger is supposed to go to Fiji and Australia this summer so I have to get used to them flying without us. life is meant to be lived, right!
Dd offered to vacuum for me. After 45 minutes (remember, ds is trying to sleep) she had only done 1/4 of the main floor so I had to stop her. I could have finished the whole main floor in 15 minutes. Her OCD is paralyzing her and making her useless to me. Yesterday, she spent 90 minutes washing a basket of toys just in case we had toddlers or babies come. I figured she'd do a better job than me, but never expected her to take that long.
Must start dishwasher and then I'm going to move to my creative room and try to write.
