Today I finally cleared my table. A few things are away. Admittedly the papers are now in a box, still waiting but the hurrah moment was sitting at the table to eating dinner. I need "dust" the papers (outdoors I think) as prelimerary to sorting to toss/shred/file completion.
A load of washing is done - still to go away. laundry is staying up to date so that has progressed from the "old days".

Hello scattered. I didn't see you there . ((((hugs)))) I hope you have a successful day.

A very good morning to Lynn and Scattered!!! wishing you both a lovely day.

also WELCOME "Itneverends" (love the name too).

Friday wow... I can't seem to wrap my head around that one.
I have been up since 4:30 (I told d nancy I think all the roosters and chickens here woke me up :D ) my dogs were wide awake and now are snoring under the table.

today I dailies Christmas put away and toss. dd younger asked me to take a picture of the tree before I sent it to recycling - if dh doesn't mind - I will take the ornaments off - keep the lights on and put put up bird food things on it so when dd younger comes home she can still have her tree for a day or two. It might be a nice surprise.

My dmom was a little intense yesterday and dd younger said she was a bit home sick. My d mom can forget to keep her opinions about looks to herself as she wants the girls to be 5'10" beautiful model types she could show off.. heck we are of French ancestry - not going to happen. lol. She wants to let other people see "her" success. She doesn't see she does this. Not that she isn't loving to the girls.. she loves them bunches but tends to expect a certain look and behavior so that she looks good. (she would never admit it now as she is trying to be accepting). She should be happy they are polite and hard working...which she does.. but she wants executive, top of the class, wealthy, concert pianist, athletic material in her grandchildren. - I.e. Ralph Lauren looking models. polo playing, tennis playing, socially on top teenagers and young adults. DD younger is super sweet and has not been bombarded like dd older who is very vulnerable and gets emotionally overwhelmed to my dmom's thinking she is less than dd younger, she no longer criticizes dd older in person - as we do not allow it and many times d mom can't understand it. she doesn't think she plays favorites and that her behavior brings out ddolders emotions. Actually dd older is so much like my d mom but can see if she is wrong which is huge in my humble opinion. So I am saying my prayers here for both girls.

Well it's a new day.. What a blessing!

Good Morning!

Great job on the table Lynlee! My diningroom table is also my catch all for everything.

scattered, have fun with those push ups, lol. Call me after work.

blessed, Thank you for the welcome. The name comes from a true feeling I have, lol.

Everyone here is still sleeping. Which kind of hinders my hit the ground running plan for this morning. So I am just easing in to my day. Dont know exactly what project I am going to tackle first. Heaven knows there are enough of them. First up tho is some breakfast and a shower. Then it will be a trip down to the laundry room to see what kinda of disaster dd created down there yesterday. After I tidy that back up, I definately have to start laundry for dh and I. But after that, Im not to sure. I am SURE tho that there are several annoying, boring project type things that HAVE to get done. Whether or not I want to do them is beside the point, I KNOW I will be so happy and relieved to get them done. That 'DONE" feeling is motivation enough I think.

I'll pop in later when there is some sort of plan to get me goin. Enjoy your days ALL

bw2, my dh can be a little like your mom sometimes. He wants his kids at the right weight, nicely groomed and well dressed, and it makes them crazy. I do understand, everyone feels their kids reflect on them somehow, but they are who they are, and at age 20 for my kids, I'm glad they are able to resist conformity. :)

I actually slept okay last night in spite of the head cold and achy hips, and as always, things do look better in the morning.

Rec'd an email over night that an elderly congregant is being taken off life support this afternoon. May make an extra loaf of challah today to take to the wife. The rabbi is on "holiday" but is close enough to return, and knew that this gentleman might pass away while he was away.

I'm moving slowly this morning, will read the paper and then get rolling. Need to get groceries today and was hoping to make (with dd) Shabbas dinner.

Longer term: I have five stacks of paper I would like to get rid of (file, scan, discard, whatever) before I head back to work on Jan 7. Also need to work with dd on her room before she returns to school.

No time to "say hello/goodbye", I'm late, I'm late, I'm late (or almost). Actually I'm waiting for dh to come out so we can leave. I have to work at church this morning.

DD is out doing dishes and I feel guilty that I'm not. Will try to post later when we all get back home.

Good Morning!

I've been up since 3:30am. I woke up refreshed and ready to go, so I got up and started my day. I treasure the early morning quietness!

My goals for today include -
** Christmas decorations down, packed into tubs and put into the cellar
** 100 pieces of papers processed to completion
** 3 meals cooked/served (in progress...breakfast ingredients are out and ready, tomatoes are cooking down, squash is defrosting)
