Well, got sucked into my sudokus. So, my day is not going as planned -- my fault. However, I did. .
- clear off our car; we got about an inch more last night!
- take dd14 to practice
- shovel the driveway; dh had used the snowblower before he left, so there was only about an inch, but the snowblower doesn't get down to the pavement and I like to do that as much as possible; I was proud that I wasn't ultra-perfectionistic. I just went for improvement. I also put some salt on our walkway.
- check on the hens who have not made an appearance since there's been snow on the ground. This is their 3rd winter; you'd think they'd remember that snow is OK. (They also refused to come out for several days after dh painted the coop last summer.) They were outside every day the previous 2 winters. . . . Still, I set some food and water inside for them. I'm not sure if I'm helping the situation or not.
-help dd17 register herself and dd14 for an indoor soccer team. One of dd17's friends from school is in charge of this; it is a very low-key team. Apparently, they are called The Broccolinis, they don't meet to practice, and they lost every game the last 2? years. It is strictly for fun!! :)

NOW I'm going to s2s. I need to pick up dd14 in about an hour, at 1:40. Then, she's going to a friend's at 2:30 to practice their duet for the solo/ensemble festival next month. I'm going to be driving dd14 around a lot today.

I forgot about getting those last 2 packages in the mail today. Dmom emailed yesterday, and they are safely back home. They'll have to go in the mail on Monday.

I haven't even heard of the movie Guilt Trip. . . . We probably will only go to one more film this break and that will be w/ friends on New Year's Eve.

LOL Twins with the dogs! Did you read my fiasco with our ddog/boarder last evening? I thought about you a lot while I dealt with her trembling at the thunder.

(Dee) happy cleaning! (Kathryn) happy cooking!

Nothing's been getting done around here while I do all this paperwork. I just finished the last of the monthly spreadsheets. Next is the totals page where I put all the explanations for the cpa.

I am off to take a break. Got a headache. Wondering if it's from all this close work, maybe my eyes?

One more for the list, the bank hostage in Phoenix. What is up this year?

Why is it DH's solution to empty boxes is to put it in the garbage?? Some of this stuff has taken years to collect for craft projects as I use found objects. No money spent - it isn't his so THROW IT!!! SHEESH!! /<rant/

Finally have 3 boxes in living room for packing. I did get all the Christmas decor down and packed away. Next up is wall art. Then I will get to take off more batten strips. And pull the gazlions of nails/staples.

It will be worth it. It will be worth it. It will be worth it. It will be worth it. It will be worth it. It will be worth it. It will be worth it. It will be worth it. It will be worth it. It will be worth it. It will be worth it. It will be worth it. It will be worth it. It will be worth it.

The first high school shooting (in recent history) happened at the high school that my dd attended years before she ever went there.

A "famous" Canadian comedian also attended that high school and he has discussed it with the media. I can't remember who his name is but I think he was from the comedy show "New kids in the hall" or something like that.

My dd came home on the first day of high school (grade 9) and told me about an unused and locked boys bathroom but nobody knew why it was locked.

The day after Columbine, a boy in one of her classes came to school dressed like one of the shooters (or was there only one) in a long trench coat. He was suspended from school and also arrested for something.

I've been puttering doing a few chicken chores at a time with the roo in rooster jail waiting for the hens to get done laying then it's time for freezer camp duty.

The keeper red and the rest of the flock are much more peaceful with the roo inside the coop for the night it was quieter in the morning too.
EN I know the value of a good box  have used the same one several times for hauling chickens in the trunk so I get it especially this time of year for shipping gifts and such.

It has warmed up to 28* and frost is just now melting frost off.

Blessed - let me know if DD needs any help with her ancestry.

LucyLee - I can't wait for it to come out on DVD.

Twins - I have been watching The Incredible Dr. Pol which is a reality show following a vet and he loves to talk about all the things dogs will eat... basically anything.

Okay after taking some OTC pain meds and an allergy tab I went and lay down for an hour, woke up before the alarm but laid there until I knew INE would be calling. I told DH the stuffed peppers might be the best dish I have ever made. OH WOW! They are sensational!

I went to town with intention of getting items on "buy" list. However after just a few items had been collected I got dizzy....really dizzy. I had to squat down in the middle of the aisle to keep from passing out. I decided to pay for what I had already put into basket and come home. LO did get to pick out a toy to spend the Christmas $$ he received which was thrilling to him ;)

I'm sipping coffee and relaxing while LO take a nap.

(((OKay))) Take good care of yourself! That sounds kinda scary!

Well, I am just living proof that the s2s rule is of unimaginable importance. I simply cannot function without s2s. So... here I sit IN MY HOUSECOAT AT 2:00 PM     ... NOT functioning.
I sent an e-mail to S ears. That has been the only accomplishment of my day. :(
I also ordered 3 cd's for dh which he did not buy himself for Christmas, b/c I thought ds was getting them for him. DH told me not to order them, but I did anyway, and since I couldn't remember which one he wanted, I ordered all three. Fairly new female country music singer, E lizabeth C ook. DH is in love with her. ;)
Talked to ds on phone.
Talked to dmil again.
Bless her heart, she has lost her house keys, again, and she is all torn up about that... plus she can't keep it straight in her mind that WE are home this weekend and DBIL & family are the ones gone to college-town this time.

I need to make a list of movies to get dmom on dvd.
She would definitely like this one -- Guilt Trip -- b/c she loves B S triesand... and she mentioned wanting to see Lincoln just the other day. Dparents could probably count on one hand the movies they have seen in theaters over the last ten years!
(She doesn't love BS's politics any more than dh does, but she can put that aside. She especially loves BS's singing -- which of course, this movie does not have any of -- but I think she has always enjoyed her movies.)
Tomorrow is another day.

yeah d okay on such a lovely tasting dish! send some my way please!
hi nancy!!!
hi Cathy.. how frightening
hi scattered cheering you and Itneverends and Ivy as you work
hi helia... tell me about suduko - it is addicting. I take it in the car if I have to wait for dd younger
hi twins
hi harriet I have to admit I literally laughed out loud when I saw your face :| and the description of your sweet dd's room it made my day
hi harmony
hi mt it WILL be worth it! :D
hi lucy I was in my pjs the other day most of the day! and there wasn't a guilty bone in my body about it. I give you the permission to relax!
and waving to all as you work

it's time for the timer for me as I am getting completely sidetracked.
I went to the eye doctor and got meds

I also did something very silly and thank Goodness DH just goes with things (most times lol) - I took our inside tree and plugged it in outside (of course no ornaments) so that when both dd's come home they have their tree for 5 days until tree pick up by the city. At least it will be easy to move... as it's close the pick up area. waiting to see what neighbors think ;) -

I want to see Les Miserable with dmil but I don't want her to be in all those crowds. My d kids want to see it too. well ddolder does :D
cards being pulled for productivity -
while doing kitchen cards I hope to cook the left over veggies for me during the week and so they don't spoil.
it is always a joy to be here with you!
