Sum it up Sunday

Post by scattered »

It is the last Sunday of the year, time to sum it all up and get ready to ring in 2013.

What are you doing to sum up the year?

Have you made any resolutions for the New Year? Do you want our help keeping you accountable?

To sum up 2012 I need to do some toes up work. I would love to get the house clean also, but just don't see it happening.

My resolutions for 2013 are threefold;
1) Clean up my mouth
2) Use the stairs at work
3) Eat better

I woke up early this morning which really surprised me after feeling so yucky yesterday. I rolled over after looking at my watch, but then decided to just go ahead and get up. There was enough coffee in the pot to heat up a cup while I was waiting for fresh, I am d2s so now I need to get a fresh cup take my meds and get busy.

ToDo/TaDa's
:D d2s
:D coffee

clean out car

Good Morning!!!

I too would like to Sum it all up for 2012, but that isn't going to happen in one day. I CAN however, stay on track and steadfast and at least get this place to a baseline clean and then work on all those pesky issues after thats done. GIven how I am returning to work bright and disgustingly early Wednesday morning, I would like the baseline completed by then. The main goal for today is not to get sidetracked or terribly distracted in my pursuit of my goal. Having said that..... I never did get anything else done last evening. Dh and I just kinda vegged the evening away. Oh, and I have decided to forego church this morning.

TADA's for today
did not sleep in too late
breakfast
meds
email and boards
read paper online

Goals for today so far
Menu for week
grocery list
send DH grocery shoppping
evaluate where I stand on laundry
reboot the laundry marathon
wash up and d2s
clean, dust and vac downstairs
Watch firefighter funeral at noon
dust and vac stairs
start the BIG purge and clean up of bedroom
ditto for the office

Scattered, I will call you in a while. Need to get rollin here first.

Good Morning!

Scattered & INE - Thanks for the great start this morning.

I'm working on updating our personal checking account so I can write the final tithe check of the year. So far this morning I have added 108 transactions. I took a break to fill my thermos with coffee and CUOP for inspiration. :)

Less than 1 hour before leaving for church so I once again find myself scrambling to get things done JUST IN TIME.

I read about having an unpeeled onion in each room of the house helping to prevent flu so I got a couple have one in the bed room. I'm better today! Hoping that helps. H. was asking about it!

The other roo I thought was quieter got me up at 5:30  today coffee is going I got the dishes put away today already and working on my second cup.

Yesterday Found some grey yarn for sports color projects and red on sale.
Hoping some knitting is in my future as the day progresses. Dgds took the sewing machine back it was not up to their standard so are going to do a bit more research instead of just getting the cheaper model.

I forgot to get a fitted bed sheet we need for our bed. Speaking of sheets h. used an old one to cover the roo yesterday and it was much calmer having his eyes covered.

Up earlier today - ddogs must have heard something outside just before 7 a.m. because they were rarin' to go out and noisy!

We will have dinner out tonight for dh's birthday, which he shares with Ken in Canada, same date and year!

Oatmeal w blueberries and pecans, and a couple of clementines for breakfast. Twenty six degrees - ddogs will walk later!

INE - I'll be here...

OKay - Oh do I know that feeling, my DFriends laughing give me a 5-15 minute advance time when they want me somewhere, i.e. if they want me there at 9:30 they will tell me 9:15.

Nancy - I am debating on buying a new sewing machine, mine is basically toast, but I just can't see it right now. If I start sewing more then I will, and if I find one at a yard sale or the flea market I might get one.

Twins - Is his birthday today? Please pass on my wishes for a great year.

Got the travel claim done, thought I had it done and then realized that my mileage had not been entered so I had to go back in, most of you will not understand this but DTS SUCKS!

Grabbed a stack of DVD cases so now I need to add them into the insurance claim, we went through all the cases to figure out what movies & games are gone by which cases are empty. :( Some of them are loved movies.

sign re-finance paperwork
reboot Bert & Ernie w() D() f() p/a()

Scattered, when I get to the upstairs where my phone is, I will call.

Just moving along. Im finding all sorts of little things that need attending. Its not really sidetracking me, but its getting a bit frustrating. Im adding a few things to my lists for today.

Waiting on DD to get up. Her last Xmas gift arrived in the mail yesterday and I want to give it to her.

Also anxiously awaiting Dh's return. I have been hearing very strange noises against the house. Im thinking its snow sliding off the roof, but he needs to walk the outside and make sure thats all it is. He wasnt pleased to see this morning, that he also needs to get out there and rake the roof edges again after yesterdays snowfall. We have about 17 inches of snow out there since Wednesday night. He'll be a happy camper today I'm sure.....NOT!!!! Also, the temps are supposed to plunge way low this week. I read this morning that Thursday morning when I go to work it going to be like ZERO degrees. OH I am dreading it.

Moving right along, trying real real hard not to get distracted or sidetracked. Hopefully by the end of today, I will have a full TADA list and an empty Goal list.

TADA's for today
did not sleep in too late
breakfast
meds
email and boards
read paper online
evaluate where I stand on laundry
reboot the laundry marathon
Make out tithe check for Dh to take to church
folded a HUGE load of whites
another load into dryer to fluff
fold a load of darks
another load of darks into washer
cleaned coffee maker and perpared a fresh pot for DH
put all good silver back into silver chest
packed up the three good crystal candle globes into the Xmas bin

Goals for today so far
Menu for week
grocery list
wash up and d2s
clean, dust and vac downstairs
Watch firefighter funeral at noon
dust and vac stairs
start the BIG purge and clean up of bedroom
ditto for the office
Cut nails so typing is easier (wayyyyyy too long to type decently)

hi Nancy, hi ok, hi scattered, hi ine, hi twins

thank you for starting us out!!!

It's sunday - grateful day
Sum it up mmm I had pluses and minuses this year. my minus was my taking car of my physical health - I was doing so well and poof I talked myself out of it.
my pluses: spending time with family and decluttering (thank you declutter girls for the support and thank d Harriet for the thread) and sticking to my card file most of the time or at least some sort of focus. (lol I still fell behind but it was okay)

right now what I am looking at - a really dirty floor - dh doesn't take off his shoes in the house like so many of my clean friends but he is willing to use those rubber cover things and take them off inside now... yeah.

my animal care has to be increased to more than once a week regarding brushing.
it is always a joy to be here with you!
