Re: Sum it up Sunday
I never realized the little brat in me loves to spend and plan elaborate fun filled plans and ideas. So if any of you don't mind I might come here, as I did the other day, and ask for support to tune out that little stinker in me that keeps saying "I want that magical vacation, so what if it goes on your credit card" I want that copper bowl for making amazing desserts" - I spend more on the little stuff which could be saved on a nice time with the d kids and family.
it is always a joy to be here with you!

Re: Sum it up Sunday
I'm feeling somewhat productive so far....
I have a running li&t of what I want to happen in the next week. I also am sampling a web/iPhone/iPad app for routines called Astrid. I have trouble putting routines and to-dos in same list....somehow the routines clutter up the to-dos and I have trouble seeing the to-dos. I stopped using Remember the Milk for to-dos and routines and am using a handwritten list for to-dos that is always with me. But I realized I do need reminders for routines so we'll see how this works. ( In essence, I'm revamping my routines...)
Also got out FP wire bound notebook for January and will begin to make some notes there. Also ordered from FP an inexpensive cover for the wirebound notebook - I've used the wirebound notebook long enough to know that it's working. I use the notes side of the page for taking notes that specific day which has been useful in dealing with dsis issues and follow up.
I made a "Honey do" list for dh - he measured HVAC vents and went to Lowes for a return and to get new filters, and is also doing a return at TJ Maxx. He likes being out and about so I hope this suits him.
-clear kitchen counters
-start a lol
-refill meds containers
-Take care of 20 pieces of paper clutter
-walk the long suffering ddogs

Ken and twins d dad happiest of birthdaY'S
I was almost done with Christmas put away when d kittens caught a mouse in the crawl space and brought it to me alive and proceeded to drop it - and I had to stop my work because the mouse is running... I feel for it but dh just smiled at me when I said we should catch it and bring it to the woods.
most christmas stuff except outside is put away

Re: Sum it up Sunday
Good day so far.
We celebrated dh's birthday yesterday so I forgot to wish him a Happy Birthday this morning. Just gave him extra kisses (I've been affectionate all morning) and birthday wishes from me, and then an extra squeeze from Harriet!
Dh says a big thanks to all of you for remembering.
The service went really well. Driving there was tense but gorgeous. The weather is sunny and cold and the roads haven't cleared fully yet so were actually fully snow covered in places which is unusual for the highway.
The service was a bit short but that's always welcomed. And dh and I have been invited back for three Sundays in February so that's lots of work for me. They are paying dh too, 2/3 of what I get which makes for a good pay. They currently don't have a musician so me being a packaged deal is a good thing.
They were obviously checking us out, though, because the invitation to come back didn't come until the end of the coffee hour when she had circulated among all the other people, so I guess there was an informal vote.
Dd had unloaded the dishwasher and put away almost all the good dishes so I just did a quick tidy on the kitchen, changed into casual clothes (and my new cross which is made up of nativity scenes) and am making the sausages for our brunch while dh is making the waffles.
Dd and dsil leave this afternoon and ds will move back home then too.

Re: Sum it up Sunday
*********Waving Hello to everyone!!!!!!!*******
I took a break to watch the funeral coverage of one of the firefighters that was shot on Christmas Eve. Its not near over with yet. They haven't even really started. Coverage began at noon with the arrival of his casket ontop of the firetruck, then came the seemingly endless procession of attendees. There has to be 3000 at least. the procession was still going on when I decided to just record it and watch it later. I sat there for an hour before i turned the tv off.
Dh came home and we ate some lunch while watching the tv. He's upstairs working right now, thusly leaving me alone. DD has taken off to go to her fiance's to get her oil changed and I am about to resume my goal seeking.
Moving right along, trying real real hard not to get distracted or sidetracked. Hopefully by the end of today, I will have a full TADA list and an empty Goal list.
TADA's for today
did not sleep in too late
breakfast
meds
email and boards
read paper online
evaluate where I stand on laundry
reboot the laundry marathon
Make out tithe check for Dh to take to church
folded a HUGE load of whites
another load into dryer to fluff
fold a load of darks
another load of darks into washer
cleaned coffee maker and perpared a fresh pot for DH
put all good silver back into silver chest
packed up the three good crystal candle globes into the Xmas bin
lunch made and eaten
watched funeral coverage for an hour
folded a load of fluff's
Goals for today so far
Menu for week
grocery list
wash up and d2s
clean, dust and vac downstairs
Watch firefighter funeral at noon
dust and vac stairs
start the BIG purge and clean up of bedroom
ditto for the office
Cut nails so typing is easier (wayyyyyy too long to type decently)
BB Soon no doubt

Re: Sum it up Sunday
Finally got through all that list. I know I took care of more than 20 pieces of paper but I know there's a lot more. These were all easy to deal with, tho.
Dd and I agreed that we will work on her room at 2:30.
Meanwhile, I will reboot laundry and make the bed and see what else I can get done.
