a-z Thursday

Post by Lynlee »

I found this piece when I was rambling about on line. Saved it on my laptop desktop amid growing clutter.
Hoping ya'll find some pearls of wisdom here.
Live one day at a time - and make it a masterpiece. The Dalai Lama
A- avoid negative sources, people, places, things and habits
B- believe in yourself and succeed
C- consider things from every angle
D- don’t give up and don’t give in
E- enjoy life today, yesterday is gone and tomorrow may never come
F- friends and family are hidden treasures, seek them and enjoy their riches
G- give more than you planned to
H- have major league fun
I- ignore those who try to discourage you
J- just do it
K- keep trying no matter how hard it seems, it will get easier
L- love yourself first and most
M- make it happen
N- never lie, cheat or steal, always strike a fair deal
O- open your eyes and see things as they really are
P- practice makes perfect…..
Q- quitters never win and winners never quit
R- read study and learn about everything important in your life
S- stop procrastinating
T- take control of your own destiny
U- understand yourself in order to better understand others
V- visualize it and focus
W- want it more than anything
X- xcellerate your efforts
Y- you are unique in all God’s creations, nothing can replace you
Z- zero in on your target and go for it

I think they are all good actually. I can't pick a favourite.
Today - this afternoon as it is now - I need try to invoke these ones into practice:-
B, D, J, K, L, M, P, S, T, V, W, X and Z
/no excuses or reasons. I can put in some token efforts and things will continue to change.
I don't need to do everything - I just need to do something.
Just begin.

LynLee - Thanks for opening us up, your a-z made me think of the song "A you're Adorable" My Dgma used to sing it all the time especially when we were on a long drive. Happy memories, thank you.

I got to bed shortly after 9pm and slept until my alarm went off at 6:30. I am d2s and working on my coffee. Still need to finish my SDR & GRWR, also need to take a look at my visits for the day. I have got to get stuff done today including; get refinance paperwork in the mail, take pictures of empty game & dvd cases and email to insurance adjustor.

Start the Day Routine (SDR)

Get Ready for Work Routine (GRWR)

fill coffee togo cups

ToDo/TaDa's

I may or may not be able to check back in so have a great day Villagers.

Up and about here and just finished breakfast....
-meds/vitamins
-clear kitchen counters
-clear kitchen table
-start lol/delicates to hang
-plan the day (why oh why do I not do this in the evening?)

I have a funeral and interment to go to today, also the meal of consolation at the temple unless I decide it's too much socializing for one day. Then have a 5:30 meeting at the temple also. The rabbi cancelled out of our meeting this morning because he's been away the last week, and also because of the funeral today.

Having a last cup of coffee too.

The coffee is on now! (_)P On board with the "I don't like green tea" posters. I made a wonderful chicken soup yesterday with canned chicken.
Had the broth for lunch lower in carbs and soup for dinner was great on such a cold winter's day.

H. was better with the grand kids yesterday my unspoken req. from last mo. that got answered. Yea!

Harriet that is what I said to H. about the timing of the opening up the pen thing. I had turned on the dryer thinking they would like to warm up under it plus I needed to do laundry, the chickens mostly ignored the dryer vent guess feathers did not need fluffed! LOL! One of the older Barred rocks that was in molt last fall laid yesterday I caught her in the nest box I was SO happy! Yea! Made up the first boiled eggs to use this week.

I forgot all about granny duty yesterday so dgson helped with chicken chores later in the day and got the 2 eggs we found. Today they will both be here.

Good morning to each of you!

Focus today for me: paper work, library make the necessary copies so I don't use up my ink in the printer.
I had a little blessing this morning...The little brat in me said "STARBUCKS", i folded and went into the drive through... they gave me a Free cup of coffee to say Happy New Years! no money spent! how nice of them.
it is always a joy to be here with you!

Good morning!

I'm very inspired by Lynlee today! I also have a curtain or two that needs to be hemmed. Maybe I will "just do it" today!

Emptynester, I like the sound of your granite. Will be looking for new kitchen countertops here this year. Have been thinking of something with some green in it.

Glad my spaghetti sauce last night was more like chili. Going to bake 2 potatoes and have the sauce over them and supper is done!

Happy day to all!
