Up and S2BF
Been playing with graph paper to figure out how to cut granite. It is all pre-made - either in 94 X 26 inch counters or big pieces for islands that is finished on all 4 sides. Of course, my counter is an L shape and I need 17 inches of finished edge to fit there. IF I can get a fabricator (not where I buy it) to finish 2 edges of the 30 X 46 piece for my smaller island, I can get my contractor to cut the 17 inch piece out for the rest of the counter. I know - clear as mud - but I do think I have it figured out.
We get to pick up our MH today. That will be a relief as then I can start packing it for our trip to the desert.
Best get moving. Need to pick up the kitchen.

Can't wait to see the granite counters, MT!! --Well, I'm assuming you'll be sharing some photos. . .
I know it is not a competition, OK, but you are amazing, getting so much done so early!! You are inspiring!
Late start again. I am s2s and have called dd14's accompanist and scheduled a practice session with her tomorrow afternoon. I've also replied to an email from her oboe teacher, trying to schedule a lesson for tomorrow morning. --I can see tomorrow turning into a taxi day for me. . . .
Today:
-a.m. routine
-start crockpot
-start breadmaker
-gas van
-haircut and highlights at 1! I have my highlights done very lightly so they look very natural, even when they grow out.
-misc. other things on my todo li&t
-take dd14 and friend (a Chinese exchange student) to synch. swimming slumber party; I'll be out and about from 6 - 7-ish
-dfriends A and R here for dinner; S has meetings so can't join us and K (the physics prof) is not back in town yet, I believe. .

Have been piddling around....need to get dressed and head out soon for funeral. I just put on comfortable clothes to walk the ddogs. I'm planning to do errands (repair for car headlights, alternations and DT library) in between the funeral this afternoon and the meeting at 5:30.

Re: a-z Thursday
I got up VERY late today -almost 9:30. Had a really rocky night and took benadryl about 2:30 -bad mistake. Never even really slept well after that, but dozed in and out. I was pretty consumed with happenings with gd yesterday and then dh and I had a little tiff before bed last night and I "let the sun go down on my anger". Not good. Don't often have one of those, thank goodness.
I've been working on the computer ever since I was s2s. Read the newsletter from our home church and 'realized' that I had to have annual reports to them by Tuesday!
DD & DH were going to go to her dmil's to work on her yard (before code enforcement came by) but it is terribly foggy and damp out. Her dmil is 86 and just not able to do it any more. They accomplished a lot in the front yesterday.
Back to work......
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

Re: a-z Thursday
Quick check in! I am in the middle of a mess. I drug everything but the tree box out from under the stairway. Then I started pulling stuff out of the walk in closet and rearranging it. Shortly I need to start on taking Christmas decorations off of tables, shelves etc. and get them packed. The walk in closet needs emptied and cleaned but I don't have time . I will do it before we put new carpet in. Since it isn't picked out or ordered, I have time.
Dd1 goes back to work tomorrow. It and Monday are workdays/in-service and then the kids go back the 8th. Awhile ago she called and she was headed to the donut shop. She said she was buying me a cinnamon roll or my choice. She knows that I have really been working so I can get by with having it and not worry about going too high with it. So now I can eat a later lunch and continue working for awhile, before stopping for lunch. Best get to it.............

Morning ya'll...
Its so windy here today I bet I could set sail and make it to Kansas by night time.
Doggies fed, footprints picked up, dinner planned, and am doing a lol. Think I'll either spend some time working on my family puzzle or reading. Would like to take Willis and go for a walk but its very cold out, he is almost a hairless dog and I'm afraid we may blow away. The gusts of winds are blowing at 50mph. I'm hoping that the winds will die down later this afternoon.
Time for another cup of tea...but NOT the green stuff

Re: a-z Thursday
Good morning, villagers ~
I spent the first hour this morning cleaning in the kitchen. Nutella on multi-grain toast for breakfast.
Since then I've been working on financial reports and answering Emails for my sewing group. Need a break!
Oops, wrote this over an hour ago and didn't send. I got up for a hot drink and ended up putting some things away and answering more Emails. (Consoling myself with the idea that at least Emails take less time than phone calls!) Everybody is trying to get projects back on track after the holidays.
Every time I walk into the kitchen, I wash a couple of dishes because the hot water feels good on my hands. I switched over to drinking hot water.
Now I've hit a wall and need to take a nap before I can look at any more numbers. I have leftovers I can reheat for lunch when I wake up. BBL.

Re: a-z Thursday
I started the day off well, even did the treadmill and felt I'd be productive. Then spent a long time on the phone with my childhood best friend and during that time the congestion revisited me and now I'm all foggy.
Green tea in the evening was a bust, didn't get to sleep until after 12:30.
I had green tea this morning but it isn't giving me a boost.
Today I will put away most of Christmas. Not all of it, but most of it. I'll reward myself in between blocks of being on-task with the last two episodes of Downton Abbey.
Fighting hard to urge to start my work with an episode of TV!
