Re: Conga Friday!
Harriet - Good morning! I was opening the thread at the same time so I moved my post over here.
"Common sense and a sense of humor are the same thing, moving at different speeds. A sense of humor is just common sense, dancing." William James
My meditation book message is on humor today so I thought I would find a nice quote on humor. I use humor alot, although sometimes I tend to have such a dry sarcastic humor that people don't realize I am joking. Have you
today?
I was up reading late again and didn't fall asleep until after midnight... having trouble waking up this morning. Need to get going on my SDR and GRWR. DS20 is meeting me at the office this morning to help put together office furniture. I have 7 patients to see today so it will be a very busy day, I would conga but since most of it will be driving from place to place that might be dangerous.
I will be coming home to a house full of teenage boys.
DS13 is officially DS14 today,
Happy Birthday DS14!

Re: Conga Friday!
Good Morning!
I am ready for a Conga Friday! The FNG will meet at our home tonight and it needs some sprucing up and things done to be ready to welcome them.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY WISHES TO SUZLEW AND SCATTERED'S DS14!
I'm a little hesitant to make PODA today because yesterday's was such a bust. Yesterday's PODA went well until noon, then I tossed my plans aside and ran away to play with DGS15 and DGS17 before they return to school. However, that plan to play the afternoon away was tossed aside when MPB business had a major event. Yesterday ended up looking entirely different than I had planned.
12:30 - picked up DGS17 & DGS15 to go eat and see a movie. They chose Chinese & Parental Guidance. Good!
4:30 - DH called and said the CW automatic blew up. Water everywhere. Office flooded. I took DGS's home and headed to MPB
5:00 - DH has found problem and accessed what it will take to fix it. Parts found 2 hours drive away. They will be closed before we can get there but will sit the parts outside their business door for us to pick up. LO and I make the trip to get them while DH works on cleanup of the flood and start repairs.
6:00 - temps drop below freezing - blow out/close MPB
7:30 - Repairs mostly finished. HUNGRY so we ate at local Mexican restaurant.
8:30 - LO bedtime routine. DH goes back to CW to finish repairs and work more on cleanup.

Re: Conga Friday!
Good morning to the village....joining the conga line here. I am getting my hair highlighted and cut this morning at ten a.m. so need to get rolling. Next week, getting to work by 8:30 on M, TU and TH will be even more ambitious - I've been generally getting a late start. Tonight is the first Friday dinner at temple so we'll be there tonight.
I'm having breakfast right now...as soon as I'm done:
-clear kitchen counters
-clear kitchen table
-start a load of delicates in washer
-meds/vitamins, me and ddogs
-make the bed
Okay, I think that one of the hallmarks of a SHE is to be spontaneous, and you excel at changing course and powering on through.

Re: Conga Friday!
Happy Birthday to Suzlew and others!
I've been out to the chicken coop water was frozen inside. It's 30* outside here this morning. One thing about getting up earlier is that I've been doing better on the dailies! Yea for that.
Love that quote Scattered tell your boy Happy bday for me! He shares it with my son and #2 dgd!
I have granny duty early with both of the younger ones then dd will take dgd 3 to the other grannys and dgson will stay here.
I spiffed the house after they were here yesterday and it's looking good.

Re: Conga Friday!
Next round....having done only four of those five I was at a natural stopping point:
-make bed
-s2s
-walk ddogs
-hang delicates to dry
At that point I probably will need to be heading out....I will be home most of the afternoon and can use that time for paper taming!

Re: Conga Friday!
Just enough time to post and run -literally. Supposed to be at church at 9 and it's a 25 minute drive. Now 8:30.
Happy belated birthday to SuzLew! And to scattered's DS!
I worked as long as I could last night on annual reports. So much time was wasted trying to get things changed from one format to another -some I couldn't even bring up because of the format they were sent in. Finally did though. When I come back today, it will be at the computer for sure. Leaders at church have decided to leave our Annual Meeting as Jan. 20th. Sure puts the pressure on me.
I'm off -hopefully to return.

Re: Conga Friday!
Happy birthing day (anniversary of giving birth) to scattered and Nancy.
Happy Belated Birthday SuzLew!
I am trying to get my ddad's linens changed, mattress flipped, pillows febreezed, before he complains about not having the bed ready for a nap! LOL!
School run was nearly late today - dd just hasn't been sleeping/feeling well but we can't quite figure out what's going on. Hope it's just holiday-lag. Also scraping the windshield this morning was so difficult, what a freeze.
Morning dailies are underway, but won't be finished until my ddad can take his nap!
Next up (on this frozen-solid day) will be outdoor chores.
Dreaded phone call, also.
Focus cleaning in the master closet will continue to absorb the decluttering in the master bedroom, where there is a staging area for Christmas decor coming down in the living room and dining room! lol, musical spaces. Tree will be last as my ddad really likes it - possibly not today. I did get dd's photo in front of it holding the newspaper from the other day. Glad I thought to get that accomplished. The idea is 15 minutes of declutter and 45 minutes of Focus cleaning, but they dovetail this week, of course.
Oh, I meant to say "Thank You" to Harmony for posting thoughts in the Household Notebook thread - she is certainly a smart one on that subject. Now, if we can just get OKay to post in the PocketMod thread... ...

Re: Conga Friday!
Not dancing yet but moving on automatic.
Sipping green tea again with my chocolate instead of decaf black tea. We'll see if I get good results today. I did go without a nap yesterday but I dragged all day so I'm not sure that's a result worth repeating.
The bed is stripped and remade and the bedroom tidied. I'll vacuum today or tomorrow (did it Monday but today's its day under the basic weekly plan.)
Dishwasher is unloaded, kitchen looks half good. Refilled my hot water pot and it has reboiled so I've got a source of hot water to drink today (thankfully there was enough left from yesterday to make the green tea.)
The weather is into the 20s so I'm planning on walking to the store today for the mail. It is snowing lightly but nothing that will cause accumulation. Next day with sun should be Sunday so I'll hold off on washing the sheets until that day - maybe I'll finally lined dried linens after almost 2 months without. (Between poor weather and ds being sick so me having a different focus on my energy, I've been using the dryer instead of the line in order to keep up with the laundry.)
The big task of the day will be putting away the living room tree. It has only been up for 2 weeks and so I feel like I haven't enjoyed it this year. I've been running like mad almost the whole time so only sat in the room with it on twice.
