Simplify Sunday

Post by itneverends »

Good Morning All!!!

I chose Simplify Sunday for my motto today as that is where I eventually want to be. I just want to SIMPLIFY things on my weekends. Its a HUGE goal for me, to get everything done during the week and not have to deal with it on the weekends, especially Sundays. Every goal starts with a first step right? So please, when I seem to loose sight of this goal, whack me upside the head and remind me please. Sometines, thats what it takes, lol.

I went back to work this week, It was not fun to say the least, Wed and werent too awful bad, but I was not prepared for a 19 hour day on Friday. I got home at 130 am (after leaving for work the previous 515am) and was beyond tired. Yesterday I slept til 730a, went back to bed til 11. Got up ate some breakfast, went back to bed at noon, slept til 3p and was back in bed again at 730 and slept til 5am this morning. Holy Cow I must have been tired. Feeling wayyyy better today thankfully.

Things around here are a M-E-S-S. Everyone was out of sots with the short week I guess. So my pan is to clean up around here and get us ready for a SOLID start for this week. I am also starting that H-U-G-E project of total reorganization and taming that PAPER MONSTER that lives here. I have gatherd all the papers/bills/documents and what nots and now need to figure it all out. Its not going to be done in one day, I have accepted that, lol. But time devoted each day to it will hopefully have it done by next weekend.

So having said all that, I am moving on to

ROUND ONE
 up at a decent hour...lol couldn't be helped with all the sleep I got
meds
breakfast of sorts
:) email and boards
wash up
d2s
gather my laundry at least and get it started

Waving Good Morning to all that follow!!!!!

Good Morning!

INE - Great theme for today. I too strive to simplify. It seems the simpler things become the easier they are to maintain.

This morning I'm preparing for family gathering to celebrate DMom's birthday. DSis came down with the flu yesterday so i am covering her part of the prep also. I have 3 dozen corn bread muffins in process of cooking now. A large kettle of beans are cooked & ready. Chili is in process. The paper products are gathered and packed for travel. Ditto on the condiments gathered/packed for travel. The rest of the items I'm taking are still waiting for me at the store  couple large bags of Frito's, 5 lbs of shredded cheddar cheese and a store made birthday cake. I'll pick those items up when I run to town to get DGS17 & DGS15 so they can attend the party. DH and LO will attend church while I pull all the behind-the-scene things together that makes feeding a meal to about 40 people look easy. :D

INE - I'll "Gibbs" you anytime you want. CALL ME, I have news.

OKay - you are such a rock-star! Corn muffins sound yummy.

I promised DP/BFF to get the SHE card file done today so that is my main goal. My shoulder is really bugging me this morning which also means that the fingers on my right hand are numb and hurt. I have taken some Naproxyn, and am now using my heating pad, but it is not feeling better as fast as normal. I think I need to pick up some Glucosamine next time I'm out and see if adding that will help.

d it never ends... wow that really is a lot of time at work. No wonder you were so exhausted!!! You need to really be proud that you recognized that work, such as your papers, needs to be broken down. It took me many years of trying to finish a job in one day, while trying to keep up with the dailies etc., to realize that NO one could or would want to do that way. Great job breaking things down to workable bits.

Good morning ya'll

Its gonna be a simple Sunday here...I plan to watch the football play offs all day. This is my favorite time of the year to watch. Gonna multi-task and do some laundry from start to finish. I need to change the bed and do footprint duty. Have dinner figured out, now need to pull stuff from the freezer.

My New Years resolution is to enjoy the year. I have a bunch off things to cross off on my "Next List". First is to plan my Disney Land trip, then get ready for my son and his friends to spend the weekend here while they attend the Tough Mudder event. After that its getting ready for my Colorado rafting adventure. In May I will watch my son graduate and receive his MBA ...I have a girlie trip in June to Hawaii, and a supposed 45th class reunion sometime in July...I will combined that with visiting my mom. The end of Sept I have a hiking/camping 3 day trip down the Grand Canyon to see the Havasu Falls. As for the rest of the "stuff" my attitude is..."you know what you need to do, just DO IT.

In the meantime, if I'm approve to sub, I will use that to earn some pocket money. Tt will be fun to teach without all the pressure. Have two appoints to make this week and two dr appoints planned for this Friday...one to find out about my results for my MRI, the other to have a crown put on my tooth...UGH, that I am not looking forward to.

I'm gonna try to keep my positive attitude and be happy. Need to edit that and say...I'm going to keep my positive attitude and be happy...the word try needs to go :D

I hope ya'll have a wonderful Sunday. INE ..baby steps, baby steps..looks like you're getting it. I agree with Blessed. Scattered I hope you feel better...and I love birthday celebrations OKay...hope you have a blast. Waving to ya'll....cya later.......
