INE - As I explained on the phone "Gibbs" comes from the TV show NCIS.

Blessed - Good Morning

Nancy - Flexible is good!

Cowinkie - Sounds like a fun year ahead! My shoulder is feeling better now that I am moving again.

I keep getting sidetracked, but in a good way. I have finally portioned and bagged the Turkey Condensed Broth (from Thanksgiving  ). I scrubbed the Toilet and Tub with Lime-Away so no more ugly hard water stains. :P I also pulled a small Prime Rib Roast & a large Pork Loin out of the freezer, we will probably have the Prime Rib for dinner and I will portion the pork for the freezer. I have finished my SDR, and rebooted Bert & Ernie so now it is time to finish the Insurance paperwork.

DS14 asked me why I was cleaning the bathroom everyday now. When I explained that by doing a quick S&S everyday it will stay fresh with only a few minutes work... I don't think it makes sense to him but oh well.

The day is well underway here. Have been up, walked ddogs and a.m. routine partly done. I need to leave in about an hour to meet a friend who is a notary, and we will go to dnephew's house to get some papers signed by dnephew, his wife and his dad.

For now, I need to do a handful of things....
-look up on Google maps where nephew lives
-assemble copies for the three of them (already printed)
-make the bed
-refill meds containers
-finish up clearing kitchen counters

Home from church -- we have an early service, now, you know. We're out @ 10:00 a.m. I got 7 hours sleep last night, and STILL dh had to nudge me when I dozed off in church.  He even said I snored a bit.  My goodness. Dmom says it is the P*xil that I take.

I slept very well last night, I must say. DH commented that "It looked nice around here," and it WAS nice to sleep on clean sheets in a room w/a freshly vacuumed floor.
I'm making some progress... slowly but surely.
Tomorrow is another day.

Tonight is dd's last night here - we are hoping to take her out for dinner tonight. She's feeling yucky with a cold again. I think my goals for the afternoon are a nap, putting away holiday wrap and continuing with paper taming. It's back to work for me tomorrow, tho it is just three days a week for now.

I also cleaned up my email in box yesterday.

Scattered....would so love to adopt the same bathroom plan around here. Getting everyone on board is the challange tho.

Twins....enjoy Dd's last night home. I hope she gets feeling better quickly.

Lucy... Do you take your P*xil at night or in the am? It will make you more sleepy if you take it in the morning. Try taking it at night. If you already are, then I'm out of ideas, lol.

Blessed....One of 2013's goals is to gqther and organize all my recioes and cook books into into oine place, then maybe I cn adopt amanageable cooking baking routine.

Dd is up and moving real slow, she worked a double yesterday at the restaurant and is tired, but has finally moved it into the shower. Dh just left to go get the groceries for the week. I am going to flip a load and sit down to start slaying the PAPER MONSTER. So do not feel like dealing with all that, but I know how deliciously good it will feel when its done.

Tonight is season 3 premiere of D ownton Abbey on PBS! We should be home from church well before it begins at 9pm. Wondering if Canada sees it when we do here in the US. I got seasons 1 and 2 as a Christmas gift, but I've already seen them and will pass them on to someone else. The giver meant well...but I will be more specific next time they ask what I want!

I feel good about the condition of my house at the moment. It is in order and somewhat clean. Don't have any resolutions for the new year. Just plan to continue attacking what needs to be done around here, so that family will see an improvement when they are here for Christmas 2013. DS and DDIL should not have to sleep on an air mattress next time! At least they are young and didn't seem to mind this year.

Nice theme today. SIMPLIFY is my favorite word!

Got dd14 to SS today, but not me.

Need to make a note to myself that the first Desk Day of the year takes a lot of time.
Ordered variety of stamps - they quit offering the all-one-of-a-kind variety pack of Forevers. (pout)
Changed checkbook registers but need to get extras at the bank.

Finally finished Desk Day for both households, which is actually my Friday weekly.
Finished hall and stairs, which is actually my Saturday weekly.
Sun. is dad's bedroom, my least-time-consuming, but since I flipped his mattress and put on clean linens Friday, I'm calling it good.

So I'm caught up with weeklies and have done SO MUCH on Focus and declutter this past week that I really feel on track.

I have the Errand card in for today, too, plus HRH is hoping I'll go out. Sigh. Tired!

Noticing all your good thinking and proactive work, Twins' Mom. Hope dd feels better.

OKay, that put so much on your plate. Hope your sister feels better. (How come dbrother couldn't take over all the cooking she was going to do? All the preparations were his idea! :D ) Hope your dmom has fun.

BookSaver, are you over the cold/virus?

You have exciting plans, Cowinkie.

Ellyphant I'll be watching Downton Abbey tonight but on PBS. Not sure if it has been carried by Canadian channels or not but I live close enough to the border that I can get 6 PBS channels (plus a Fox and a CBS if the snow isn't messing with the transmission!)

I'm back from church and have had something to eat (avoided eating anything but a couple of segments of orange during coffee hour - that's a gold-star-worthy accomplishment for me!) Our church is to run from 11 - 12 but dh had to run over to the other congregation after dropping me at 10:30 and they were still singing so we knew church would start very late at our place. When the minister walked in she was bowled over by how many people were there. We had 13 children (11 in Sunday School and 2 babies) plus 22 adults. Ran out of bulletins, again. Had one new visitor (who knew our minister from a previous charge and has moved nearer to us so may be attending more regularly.)

Coffee hour went on for ages and then all the children (and parents) went across the street for tobogganing at at member's house. We didn't get home until 1:30 and I have to go back on Friday to take down the Christmas tree in the sanctuary. I didn't put it there so don't want to do it on my own, since, had it been in the hall, I would have had the children take it down during coffee hour as they did last year. I got the Sunday School decorations put away and recruited two teachers for later this month. Still no-one has stepped forward for the 3 weeks I'm away. I can always arrange for three videos those days because the minister's husband is always happy to do that for the kids.

I'm off for a nap for a bit. Then snow shoveling. It is snowing, again. We have at least 3" down so far and no sign of it letting up.

Twins - Sounds like your making good progress helping DSis

Lucylee - Don't you love it when someone else notices your hard work?!? :D

Blessed - Muffins sound yummy, I've been thinking of trying a oatmeal raisin recipe

INE - Tell DD I said "Hi"

Harriet - Wow you are doing great... you are my hero!

Kathryn - I'm debating on a nap myself

Got a lot done that round although I still need to print the cards. I am feeling sleepy and my shoulder is still bugging me, I am considering taking my last ditch med and laying down for an hour. Hmmm I think I will throw the Prime Rib into the crock pot first.
