SPECIAL SUNDAY

Post by DeeClutter »

How can your day be special today? Mine was made so last night when ddil called to say they are coming down next weekend. I had heard they might be going on a cruise but they're not. This is DS-A, DDIL#2, dgs13, dsgd13 and dgs6 months. WooHoo! Of course I could hardly sleep last night. Texted dd (she'd gone to a Christian concert in Tampa -over 4,000 couldn't get seats!) DD's reaction was "WooHoo!" as well. They're coming down for a week and spending a good share of it at Disney. At least we'll get to see the dks for a couple of days.

Here you go, Ivy! You are hereby granted by the power vested in me and (the rest of the Mods). You do not have to remember all of us at any particular writing. Make today special and give yourself permission to not worry about it! :D Congratulations on that new babe btw. I'll be praying for her. As I told you our first dgs was born at 2.2# and is now 19 and going to college. He was a 24 week baby.

Our old friends (and former pastor) from Indiana are coming to meet us at church next Sunday and then we're going to lunch. Hoping to pay them a visit this coming fall on our way south again (that is if we go by way of Branson, MO -a long ways out of the way!)

I'm about ready for church. Dh & dsoil just got back from the flea market. Guess I better move it -have to count $$ from our Love Gift this week and get our check made out, etc.
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

Dh and I had a special time out yesterday. We ended up buying a new couch - on sale, and not a great couch but one that is a better size for us and a good color and texture. It's cheap enough that we can replace in a few years when needed and not think twice about it. Then we drove new cars - dh has been dithering about a new car for at least six months and hasn't been able to decide anything, and to "pull the trigger" to do it. So hopefully this will push him over the edge (to mix metaphors here ;) ) Then we ate out for dinner at a new place - way too noisy for me and food only mediocre unfortunately.

Today we may be going to a friends for an early supper - remains to be seen. I need to do the usual straightening up for cleaning lady tomorrow and getting ready for the week. We will be away Thursday - Sunday so it's a short week for me, and I have a temple board meeting on Wednesday p.m.

Going to read the paper before I start anything....

How can your day be special today? Last night when I was outside closing the chicken door I noticed the stars were out and it was clear a few flakes of snow were falling from the trees it was a silent lovely moment. Today when I went out to open the chicken door I see we have a fresh skiff of snow it was sparkling in the light [still dark out] I'm so glad I could appreciate it and stillness was awesome! Just being able to appreciate those moments and remembering that makes my day special! Oh and I had strawberry rhubarb pie for breakfast too.

Now I need to get color my hair I'll be appreciating the sun rise too.
Have a good day gals won't be on here as I won't have glasses on until hair is done can't type/read then.

I watched just a few min. of the pagent last night one contestant was being carried out and whisked off to some where hosp. I assumed. Then they gave donuts to the non winners. Wondering if the one fainted b/c of low bs #. Today I read about butt glue they use got me to wondering if it's the same stuff football players use.

Last day at home - by tomorrow at this time I hope to be on the road. It is bitter cold here for AZ. Low last night was 25.

Today we put the last of our "stuff" in the rig - computers, rest of food, etc. Then we will move all the furniture out of kitchen and LR. Not sure where we will sleep tonight - house (preferred) or MH. We will shower in the house for sure as we have the water turned off in the MH.

Time to jump in the shower here and get moving. Church in 1 hour.

Nancy, you are getting a warming trend and we are ending ours, lol. Its a balmy 65 degrees right now. VERY unusual for January in western NY. I will definately take it tho. Its giving me spring fever, too soon tho, lol. Im bound to be tortured now for the rest of the season. The temps this week are going to drop dramatically, they are saying that we are to expect the coldest temps that we have had in the last couple of years. Yikes!! Artic deep freeze coming.

TaDa's for Today
did not oversleep
meds
email and boards
breakfast
fresh pot of coffee for DD and DH
tithe check
finish up grocery list for DH to take with him
wash up
d2s
gather my laundry
make bed
crack open windows in bedroom
start mine and Dh's laundry
clean kitchen...except floor. will do after DHcomes in
helped DD and dd'sfiance find stuff to reposition the pool cover
ate a yummy lunch

Round Two
flip laundry, hang washed clothes that need it
finish a couple of very small chores in the kitchen
clean off and up desk
rehome all clutter and strays in the diningroom
clear table of paper project in an orderly way in anticipation of moving to the upstairs office
gather all plants from around the downstairs and out them onto bench in dr for sun
water said plants
take down small tables lingering from christmas
dust dr
vac dr
wash hardwood portion of dr

That is certainly enough for this round. BBL
