Re: Monday Move it, Move it!
Back from recycling, library, grocery store, Lowe's and DD (had coupon for a free drink!).
Took donation to thrift store and bought a lovely set of notecards there. I'm a sucker for cheap cards or stationery--still like sending mail the old fashioned way!
Cleaned up trash in front of house...now that the snow has melted I could see it.
Pleased with all this. I can stay home tomorrow and hit the paperwork. It's getting out of hand again.
Today was trash day...big old TV is gone...oh happy day!

I agree d elizabeth with d harmony
(Elizabeth) my take on your situation is that you are a perfectly fine Mother, but your DD is a challenge and that makes you question yourself. Of course we aren't naturally equipped to cope with children who are challenging, we must learn ways to do it. Don't automatically assume it is because you aren't a good parent.
it is always a joy to be here with you!

I had e mail instructions last night to read a book. So I did.
I finished Shadows of Midnight. (Second of the trilogy All Souls, with Discovery of Witches being the first book in this awesome set. Third book isn't out yet.)

Btdt with the challenge and raising kids {{{Elizabeth & others}}}
I had to get firm w/dgd today when she got here started in arguing today. She straightened right up.
We went outside again to feed the chickens she loves to do that so came with and we scattered feed on the path that I'd swept. One was still in the coop. Another was on the nest saw one other egg. Refreshed their water. Dgson will collect eggs after school it's his turn. The chickens sort of take turns chasing off the wild birds.
Before I swept the dining room I moved all of the chairs out; I'm happy to say I've made progress on the floors this week! Yea!!! I said a prayer about the stuff from yesterday as I was getting going on my day and released that it sure did help!
Thanks to the MODS for keeping this site up and going! I appreciate all your work here as well.

Re: Monday Move it, Move it!
I took this title very seriously. First we moved all the furniture out of the kitchen and living room. Then we moved clothes and personal items into the MH along with what little food was in the house into the MH.
Then we got in our MH (movable house on wheels) and moved 100 miles down the road. We are now parked in a big, rocky/sandy piece of ground with about 30 of our friends. We have no power except what we get thru our solar panels and/or generators and we only have the water stored in our fresh water tanks. We will be here (or nearby) for about two weeks. Then I weill go home and paint my renovated kitchen and living room.
I have finally got things set up (I had just dumped things on the bed from the house) and I think I will take a nap.

CI: I went up for what I thought would be a short nap. Slept for well over 3 hours. I probably should have set an alarm because I still have a lot of work to do today to meet tomorrow's deadline. On the other hand, obviously I needed the sleep! and feel much more energy now.
I mixed up some chicken salad for supper while my (very late) lunch was cooking. DH can eat whenever he gets home, and if I'm not hungry later tonight I can have chicken salad for breakfast tomorrow.
I think DH decided to stop at the hardware store (again) for a plumbing tool. Yes, the shower faucet is still leaking.
Cuop and went downstairs to check laundry.
Back to the desk work ....

You are welcome, although when it comes to outages like yesterday, we just hold our breath and pray.Nancy wrote: Thanks to the MODS for keeping this site up and going! I appreciate all your work here as well.

Re: Monday Move it, Move it!
Dinner is done. We watched the first episode of Book of Daniel on Net flix and enjoyed it enough to continue.
Choir was fun. The duet for Sunday was changed to a trio because my ear for harmony won me a spot. I just hear them in my head and they come out of me - I have no idea from where.
We have another 3 or 4 songs to learn and in the discussion over what will be done while dh and I are off at another church in February, I got some ideas for music for those Sundays, especially the first. Dh wants to teach some simple anthems to the choir for the last two Sundays so we will only be doing one anthem on our own. I'm hoping it will be We're standing on Holy Ground but I have to teach it to dh. Because I go to other churches (and denominations and Presbytery) I'm familiar with the song. He's never heard it before.

Re: Monday Move it, Move it!
Hello Dear Ladies,
(((LucyLee))) I find the shower is a great place to worry and even cry. The warm water washes the tears away. Just try to stay focused on other things until you can have some private time.
I worked two days, now home today and tomorrow. I worked on laundry, read and napped. Not to much moving.
Might have to run dson17 to doc tomorrow as he is still very congested, in head and chest. My hearing is diminished, I do not like phone calls at all. Which is hard if you are the phone operator at work.
The house is crying out to me, hoping tomorrow I can get to some of it. The floors are bad. And the bathrooms.
Have a good night all!
