I've reached a point in the kitchen that I'm tired of making decisions. Each item is being evaluated which is mentally tiring after 100's of decisions. A 55 gallon trash bag is full of throw away. The dining room table is covered in items that are in good condition but I don't use anymore, so they will be given away. With all these items removed from the cabinets, you would think some cabinets are empty. Nope. It is amazing how much I had stacked & stuffed into them.

LO is up from his nap and has eaten a few crackers with cheese. I'm 90% sure he will go to school tomorrow.

Harriet...I just started a Home Decorating Ideas post in Creative Homes....How Wacky of me ;) Twins, I posted some ideas that you might want to think about.

Kathryn...I have a bathrobe just like yours. My son gave it to me a few Xmas ago. Next to my winter coat, its the warmest thing I've ever owned. I believe I could wear it all day and never take it off. I could even over look the color...its dead man's nude...and I think what ever was my ds thinking. However, he knows how cold I get so I think about that everytime I slip it on.

I never got my bed made this morning....no need doing it this late in the day ;) I was sitting on the couch, in my snugglely warm bathrobe, enjoying my morning coffee...ahhhh life in retirement...when Sweetie said he wanted to go to Home d epot. I quick changed my clothes and took off with him. Convinced him to take me to C oscos. I love shopping there, but hate coming home and having to repackage everything into smaller parts. Anyway I ended up cleaning out my freezer and reorganizing it. Not a bad thing...I'm sort of like Okay and her cabinets. Lots of things lost down in the bottom that had seen its better days so out it went. Then I made lunch, did some laundry and later ran another errand with Sweetie. Now its time for dinner. I hear stomachs growling and its not mine.

Sweetie has decded to update our computers and their hardrives. He's really good at this so I have no concerns. However he did put a different operation system on the one I am using at the moment and I'm debating on whether I like it or not. Right now my spell checker isn't working, so keep that in mind.

Off to start dinner. Maybe by tomorrow we might start to thaw out. All my plants and bushes are covered with sheets and table clothes. Gonna have a lot of extra laundry to do in the near future........ugh, ugh, ugh

Hmmm... don't know how wacky I was all day, but I certainly had a wacky class. Just about had a "come apart" before THAT 50 minutes was up. * sheesh * Good to have some times like that, though... makes me look forward to retiremtent.

Keyboard is acting wacky now. Letters show up extremely slowly and sporadically as I type. This sort of thing drives me insane.

I feel the need to send out some big (((HUGS))) for a bunch of you, but must sign off right now. BBL.
Tomorrow is another day.

Well, my "Wacky Wednesday" was really wacky for ME! :!: I got some long-time-coming ta da things done!

Ta Da:
- s2s, fixed hair into pigtails
- made the bed
- worked on the short story some more
- called customer service with a minor problem, which was easy to resolve
- Had lunch, supplements
- hot spotted my end table
- decluttered
- worked on a file
- walked 25 min., did some stretches
- complimented BFF on some things about her and I made her day! :D But I was being truthful, too.
- I went through my 2012 composition notebook with lists of expenses month by month and receipts in envelopes and on-line 8 1/2 x 11" page receipts, added each month up, added all months into one total, logged the info, printed it, put the envelopes per each month's expenses paper clipped to print-out receipts, and put them in a labeled manila envelope for the accountant. Now I await my W-2 Forms and I'm all set, unless the accountant wants a list of each item paid for within each month, which I can quickly copy up for if, if need be.

So here I am, one well spent pooped puppy. I spent about 1 hour and 45 min. on it. I'm bushed. Now I'm mentally too tired to work on the story anymore today. Will wait until tomorrow. DH goes in for fasting labs in the a.m. so will be up and "ready" before he leaves. Might just read  and write letters and crochet this evening. :)

Now that I did a wacky thing and got important things done, I feel like Wacky Wednesday's opener got me motivated to get some well-needed things done. Wed. is Desk Day, too. I could be cleaning my desk now, too.

Everyone, :D Have a nice rest-of-Wacky Wednesday! ;)

Home from meeting. Had hoped that dh would have been home earlier and took care of dog sitting instructions but no luck. She is coming by here soon, and the neighbor who is also filing in will come by later.

I will need to take ddogs for walk after that.

For now, I'm going to take meds, move laundry over to dryer, and see what else I can do around here...will probably pack in the a.m. although I have pulled out some things as I did laundry.

How interesting, blessed!

I basically spent the whole day back in the bedroom working. I am making great progress. It was odd working this time, as I could not "see" what I wanted to accomplish as I went along. So I couldn't pace myself into any kind of speed. Most often when I tackle a big project I get in a "groove" and get lots and lots done and work through to the end. This time it was one box, one bag, one piece of paper, decide if where how why and then sit down and think some more. It was really slow going. Until I could actually see the neatness emerging and then I began to speed up. Does this happen to you gals too?

I got 90% of the closet done (except for the hanging clothes). Most of DH's closet is done, my hope chest is cleaned out as I'll be using it differently. The things in there have been washed and dried and put away in plastic bags up on high shelves. I have 2 quilts and a pillow going into there and they are washed, dried and spread out on living room furniture so I'm sure there's no moisture in them before I fold them up for the chest.

My shoes are mostly sorted and in their plastic boxes again. Yay, I can find my shoes now! I left the top shelf, it's the easiest to reach, empty and I'll line my tennis shoes and slippers, flip-flops and garden shoes there. I'd begun not putting them away because it was such a mess.

Anyway, my dresser still needs done and the whole room needs a good heavy cleaning. You wouldn't believe how dusty those plastic shoe boxes were. And there's dust bunnies hopping all over the place. Hope to finish all this tomorrow.

Then I'll tackle the rest of my kitchen and dining room. It's great to get clean and organized!

waving from thwacky thursday

twins - I see your problem w lr. I wanted to put a couch in a corner until I realised that just blocked the way to the stairs.

Here - similar long living room - you'd think lots of room but no. no fireplace or kitchen bar either. You need to walk thru to access entry (and kitchen) hall to bed/bathrooms on 2 sides. Big sliding doors on other wall. until I get rid of a long buffett the L shape chaise lounge is sort of in a square in the middle. Later it will be 16' from tv. So not really a cosy space. Unless I do something different. the 2 bits may just stay separate. lol more sitting room that way if I need it. and still long enough for short me to stretch out on.

mopped K and bathrooms today. Is that thwacky? - maybe for me.
need go out
bye
Just begin.

Cowinkie: my bathrobe is Christmas red with white snowflakes all over it.

Finally was productive with housework. Tomorrow I'll be out for some of the day and all of the evening so I did up the weekly kitchen chores tonight (and cleaned the stove top) rather than put things off until tomorrow. Zone 2 (my zone this week) includes the living room so there will be some deeper cleaning in there to fill up my time.

Waving hi to Lynlee in Thursday!

My living room is large (the largest room in the house at about 22 x 13') but has sliding doors in the middle of a long wall and a walking path that needs to be preserved from the laundry room to the patio doors (for hanging laundry), plus it is missing one of the short walls (the living room is down four steps and the family room overlooks it with a railing in between.) We solved the too long, not intimate enough problem by putting spinners on our two recliners. They can spin in one direction to form an intimate area that uses about 2/3 of the length of the room (so 14') with the couch (which is against the short wall) and another chair or they can be spun around to watch tv or listen to the piano. The tv, piano and a giant roll top desk fill in the space in the other 7' of the room. The area to walk between one of the recliners and the piano is a bit narrow, but it isn't too bad and encourages us to take the alternate path through the foyer.

BTW: Wacky Woman was one of the emails that bounced back from the mass email I sent last week. I had an aol.com one for her.

I have not exercised, and I have not graded papers, and I have not ironed... but I am just really, really tired. I think I'm just going to get ready for bed and try to press re-start tomorrow. I think that * wacky * class just really set my day on edge, plus I missed my planning period b/c of the late start today, and had to run around town getting headlight changed on SUV, and ds & dgs have been over here since 7:00 p.m.
Yeah... I think I am going to bed.
Tomorrow is another day.
