SUCCESSFUL SUNDAY

Hi everyone! I was the last poster last night, so I am going to reiterate my good news: WE PLACED A CAT!!! And now for the next good news: DD10 and I spent a whole day together and had fun and no arguments. That makes it a Successful Sunday! What we did was: went to church (early too!), ate Chinese, went to Chuck E Cheese, saw Hotel Transylvania at the dollar theater, went to the park, then came home and watched about 20 minutes of a movie.

Tonight, I need to figure out meals for tomorrow's grocery and cooking day. I intend to look for something different in my cookbooks and try Kathryn in Canada's almond crusted pork chops. I will also do some clean up in the kitchen - I have been going at it counter by counter. I will also have to put away a dry LOL and run another and put it on the rack. LOLs are most every day now that I am not running the dryer, there is only so much room on the drying rack. I will do a small amount of filing and a few Christmas cards. Oh, and I suppose I should eat!

Got an Rx refill ordered to pick up next week next time we down town.
Dinner is done for dgd & I h will fend for himself.
Chickens are heading in to the coop their light is on.
Dgson will be here in a bit they went to the movie so our switch out was delayed, we could not get to the one we wanted to see dson offered to help watch them but h. has to work tomorrow and dson was trying to get the phone I gave them activated and reprogrammed with their info. this afternoon. Oh well consoling my self w/ pie and coffee for dinner and not having to cook!

I spiffed up the kitchen and our bathroom trying to do the messy stuff here so don't mess up dd's place hoping to only have to clean one house this week doing it this week we will see how it goes!

Sorry it's so late! It's 5:55 p.m. here, but back East, it's getting later and later for all of you.

My Ta Da:
- Made a letterhead
- Started reading workshop lecture notes
- Wrote a BFF a letter
- Stripped the bed, washed sheets, which are drying now
- Cleaned out purse
- Wrote questions for the eye specialist
- Reprinted a meds/supps list
- Put list pads away from my cluttered end table drawer, back into the basket near the phone where they belong.
- Got 2 meds ordered.

My To Do:
- Address a mailer to my BFF whom I'm sending a book to. (She's sending me a book, too.)
- Make the bed with fresh sheets.
- Wash DH and my jeans
- Read more lecture workshop notes
- Tidy the end table top
- Write tomorrow's to do list
- Dinner, floss, read
- Watch TV, set the dawn simulator, get out tomorrow's clothes.

Nancy, It's good you have a light in the coop at this time of year. I heard it makes them lay eggs in the winter months that way. Heard it from dsis.

My fever broke last night about 8 - 9 p.m. and have felt fine all day. Just busy and my right arm's still sore and the wrist, too. I did a pre-Christmas baby crochet, toddler toy crochet marathon, then went into the New Year with a lot of writing to do, so it's sore. I did some lifting and things I shouldn't have, too. I've not been crocheting and try to baby-step the computer. It's kind of hard to do that sometimes though.

Ivy, I hope your arm feels better. I remember my arm got sore with the quilting marathon in December.

Today was a very quiet day. I didn't sleep very well last evening, just felt like I didn't get into a very deep sleep all night. We both dragged ourselves to church and practically slept through the whole sermon and I couldn't nudge DH awake because I couldn't keep my eyes open either. I don't know if it was because we were out last evening (though not late) or not.

DH thinks it was because of some stress he had dealing with a job issue yesterday. Mine was all the hard work this past week I think. Anyway, we both ended up sleeping practically all afternoon. When we got up we made supper, DH grilled a very small steak which we shared and I made a salad and baked potatoes. The salad was so delicious with a nice-sized home grown tomato from outside. Yumm! I wish we could get more of those.

So I need to go do dishes now and make lunches. Sigh....another week ahead...

We did have a lovely day today. DGS6 months was pure joy all day! Got lots of pictures. When I looked back at them tonight I realized ALL my pics were of the baby and not our other dgks. Will have to remedy that tomorrow at EPCOT!

We went to bed fairly early. Watched "Cinderella" and got ready for bed. Woke up a little while ago and I felt 'itchy' just all over. Realized I didn't feel well and was very shaky. Took my BS and it had dipped. So now I'm eating a package of dh's peanut butter crackers. I don't even like them very much but at least I'm beginning to feel a little better. Scratching my head as to 'why'. Also took a benadryl to stop the 'itchy' feeling. Couldn't think of anything else we had in our room to eat that would take care of the problem (without waking the whole household).

Leaving here about 8a.m. tomorrow to go to Disney. Wasn't going to go, but DS-A really wants us to meet them. And I feel like we need to. They're taking this vacation (instead of a cruise) because they wanted to see us and spend time. Also think we're going back over to meet them for dinner 'somewhere' about Thursday.

DS-A brought dh a fire sticker for our car from the West Webster firemen's tragedy at Christmas. His hockey team (also DGS13's) plans to do a fund raiser with a benefit hockey game not too far in the future. Think this whole thing (on top of Sandy Hook) is part of the reason they're down here seeing family. It all really affected DS.

Think I"m finally feeling better and can head back to bed. Night all.

I've just finished the first draft of the charge's annual report (it contains all the joint board committee reports, plus all the reports from the two churches.) It will probably be 46 pages but we'll see once final editing is done. I'm still missing one financial report, the communications report (that's ironic!) and the Sunday School report from the second church. There's two Sunday School reports for my church since I wrote one and the former teacher did too!

Dh helped by double checking figures on a hand written report (to make sure I transcribed them correctly - good thing we did!) and typing up another hand written report for me.

I took time off to watch Downton Abbey and for an hour long talk with dd. Ds might be out for dinner tomorrow night since we told him he could come and it will be roast beef.

Hello again! Here is my progress report: I have eaten and read a book, done some cleaning in the kitchen (still more to go), dealt with the laundry and filing, asssembled tomorrow's lunch, and written two Christmas cards. I have also planned my Monday cooking and the grocery list that goes with it, and the rest of my Monday errands. I am now going to watch a mindless video and crochet. The only thing I have left to do tonight is fix my tea for tomorrow. Have a good night everyone!
