Mindful Monday

Be vigilant. Guard your mind against negative thoughts. Pull yourself out of bad ways as an elephant raises itself out of the mud.

Twins, That was a WONDERFUL way to start my day. Always good to have the reminder, THANK YOU and Good Morning!

Good Morning Villagers!

I was way laid yesterday big time with a migraine, probably due to the weather and huge low pressure that blew thru here, literally, lol. So I didnt get awhole lot done. Feel MUCH better this morning tho and am ready to start my day with a good mind set, thanks to Twins.

Tadas for today
did not sleep too late
email and boards
fresh coffee for DH
Dh out the door for work with no mishaps, lol.

Todo's for today
Round ONE
s2s
make bed
wake dd
resume laundry
out to breakfast with DD. Going out to a very fancy breakfast cafe as a treat for us both
hopefully be able to flip laundry once before we leave

I am off to shower. I want dd and I to get a fairly early start to the day so as we have time to get some things done around here before the day slips away on us. Really looking forward to spending some time with her. :)

Will stop back in when we get back from breakfast. **Waving**

Busy day here. Working and I expect a lot of work to have come in while I was out last week. I also have a dr appointment with sleep specialist for possible sleep apnea that will take a chunk out of my day.

I feel pretty unprepared because I didn't do much yesterday to get ready for the week. Haven't looked at to-dos since last Wednesday. Need to get in the shower and walk dogs and get out the door soon.

7:30 here and I think I'm ready to leave for EPCOT. DD and GD are still in bed. DS-A wants to meet us there at 9a.m. Though I'm not sure how they'll accomplish that feat. They're at a hotel in Kissimmee, have to get 3 kinds (including the baby) around, packed up, move to their Disney hotel at Port Orleans, get their tickets and meet us by 9 -somehow I doubt that. Of course my body would just like to sleep.

Fell asleep nicely last night and awoke about 10. My body was itchy (for which I took benadryl) and my BS was already down to 72. Rummaged for something to eat and found a package of peanut butter crackers. Came out to the office for an hour and then slept till 6. Got up at 6:39. I just finished breakfast. Now for a cup of coffee.

Dishes are calling in the kitchen but think it will be tomorrow before I get to them. Maybe the kitchen fairy will come while we're gone today. :?

Have a good day. Thanks for the good start, Twins. I will be MIndful today.

Good Morning!

Twins - Great start! Thank you!

I don't think I posted here yesterday. I did swing by and CUOP but didn't stop to post. This beautiful weather has been calling my name to stay outside every possible moment. I've burned 4 wagon loads of wood in the firepit while piddling in the yard and garden.

I'm waiting for the sun to come up to see how my effort worked out last night. Yesterday afternoon I started a HUGE log burning with the thought it could burn all night long. However I forgot to check the wind forecast before starting the firepit. :( I let it burn for 7 hours hoping it would burn down enough to fit the top onto the firepit. Nope. It was still too big to leave alone with the wind gusting. I considered putting water on it, but wasn't sure I could get it wet enough to put out the fire inside the big log. So I dug/carried damp dirt from the garden and mounded it up over the log until the log was somewhat buried. Depending on what the buried log did during the night (is it still burning buried under the dirt?) I might play a little with it and experiment with baking some foil wrapped vegetables.

LO woke me around 2am with a runny nose. I just felt his forehead and he is warmer than usual. Poor little fella. It seems the little ones catches every cold/virus/flu bug that goes around.

The double switch for the fan and light didn't work either. Dh went up in the attic. After crawling to where he would need to work, he realized that he just isn't as flexible as he needs to be to do that. So then he decided to go to the basement and see if there was a way to wire it and go up. Every room in the basement except for the guest bedroom has the 2 x 4 ft. gridded ceiling tiles. The bathroom is just above the walk-in closet in the guest bedroom. Which is where he will need to go up thru, providing he can wire it. All the junction boxes are at capacity. There is a light in the walk-in storage closet. He took a picture of it and the wiring around it. He will show it to some of the electricians at work and get their input. In the meantime, I had to pull a bunch of things out of the closet, so he could move around in there. Guess it will stay pulled out until we get a verdict. I would just as soon pay an electrician but dh wants to do it himself if at all possible. Then he felt like he had wasted 2 days but he did get the ceiling above the shower framed and the recessed light is in place. Now to get it wired.....

Off and on yesterday, I felt puny. Was relieved to wake up and feel fine today.

Recently I had straightened the walk-in storage closet. Afterwards I realized that there were 5 bankers boxes that had paper things in them, that I should have taken out. So yesterday I could easily get to them and hauled them to the "library". That poor room. I just worked on it early last week and here I am, adding more stacks to it. Oh well, I need them handy to start sorting thru them.

Better eat and do meds......

Twins - Thanks for starting us off on such a positive note.

INE - Sorry to hear about the migraine, I'll call you later

Dee - Have a great day at Epcot!

Okay - I hope LO feels better soon

Blessed - Good morning, I need to work on my card file too.

Yesterday I ended up taking a nap and then being worthless the rest of the day, all I managed to get down was strip, wash, and remake my bed. This URI/Cold is kicking my butt. Why is it I get sick on my days off? Today is errand day so I need to get d2s and get my SDR done quickly and get going.

ToDo/TaDa
:D Coffee
d2s
vitamins & meds
teeth
Out the door for errands
Car for oil change
L owes for spare keys (DS14 keeps getting locked out)
Computer store with DS14's laptop
Groceries
Home to do laundry & clean house

See ya'll when we get home.
