Take a moment to breath Sunday
Life is amazing and so many times we have to rush through the days of the week. Being a true SHE, I would feel i couldn't take one day a week off just to celebrate because I was either so far behind. Now I know that was negative thinking and a negative way I was treating myself. So today give your self permission to treat yourself well and take a moment just to be you and enjoy the day! you deserve it!!! SHE's are women with great big hearts, do something nice for you.
it is always a joy to be here with you!

Re: Take a moment to breath Sunday
We are expecting an ice storm starting at 11 am. dd younger is at her volunteer work until 1:00 pm
today is also planning day for me - including menus, looking at calendar ahead, checking money budget for week, and now - I have decided to add fun to my calendar as well as keeping in mind our long term project of the girls bathroom.
leaving at 11:00 to sit in parking lot for dd younger. I have a book and a computer. she is about a 1/2 hour away.
have a wonderful day. Happy Sunday

Re: Take a moment to breath Sunday
I finally got my blog up on time. I've included pictures of the dust that I confronted after the kitchen remodel plus water running in the wash during our big rain.
Now to jump in the shower and get ready for church. It is annual meeting day and then we have a memorial service back here at NR for those who have passed during the last year.
After that I'm hoping we have some time to put a bit more paint on the walls. The kitchen color is perfect I think. Soft moss green with a touch of turquoise to make it look SW.

Stay safe in the ice storm, blessed and dd. I have had enough of suddenly-frozen surfaces this winter to last me until spring!
lucylee, for my dmother's yeast infections because of the stomach feeding tube, on her very delicate skin, the founder/head of the oncologist practice prescribed that I make up a mixture of 3 over-the-counter topical creams (not ointments). 1/3 neosporin creme, 1/3 cortizone ( 1 percent) creme, and 1/3 lotrimin creme. This might or might not meet with a pediatrician's approval, of course, but I thought you might want to know he was insistent that he'd found this concoction more soothing than other preparations available for prescription, and he instructed all physicians in their multi-state practice to tell caregivers to mix it up for patients with delicate skin.
Emptynester, it's a joy to "hear" you so happy about the kitchen remodel. I love the description of that moss/turquoise - turquoise is my favorite of the southwest colors. Except for the dust you seem to have had a big success there.
BookSaver, the goal with Vitamin D supplementation is to get the level of D up in your system. It is fat-soluble and stays in the system a month or so, whether our bodies make it from sunshine or we take it as a supplement. So time of day, or choosing the same time each day, to take the supplement is not going to make a difference with D. It's different from the water-soluble ones like, for instance, the Vitamin C we ingest, which quickly leaves us. So it's wise to take D with food, and especially with foods that have some fat content. Supplements should say, "D-2", not "D-3". D-3 has a poor half-life, meaning it is harder to build up one's level using D-3. Almost every over-the-counter supplement these days is D-2, and that's all most drs prescribe.

Re: Take a moment to breath Sunday
Good Morning!!! This last very very wicked week is done!!!! I am so glad its over a new one to start more somoothly. I worked ALL day Friday (which is about 8 hrs more than usual) and I had to work last night, didnt get home until 1230am this morning. Feeling abit sluggish, but hoping it will pass when I get going. I skipped church in favor of a few extra hours of sleep that were sorely needed. I am hoping that I can clear away all the 'ick' in this house from last week today and start fresh tomorrow morning. A girl can try cant SHE? The sun is shining brightly today, sure to help with my energy and motivation.

Re: Take a moment to breath Sunday
Good Sunday morning we took a night to breathe in our own beds here; dgd fell a sleep on the couch around six last night and slept through the night I moved her to her bed.
No sun here today 34-43* our temp. range.
Turned on the chickens light at seven as I slept in a bit today they got up then.
Waving to every one!
First round done
Dgd wanted to see the smilies and I've lost my train of thought.
We went out and fed & let out the hens gathered eggs this morning.
H. is watching fishing.
I have a plan for lunch and dinner.
Breakfast for the family is done now yea.
a.m. meds. taken.
journaling done
Dgd wants to rake leaves again so I told her we will after it warms up after a bit we will do that.

Re: Take a moment to breath Sunday
Morning y'all
I posted earlier this morning but it didn't go though... I hate when that happens.
MT... I love that color green. When I started this hiss I swore I was going to use colors other than green. I like greens and navy, green with burgundy, green with tan..you get the picture. I only have one room with green, but I had to really be aware toake that happen. My eye just natural gravitates to green. Even my birth month says I'm Earth sign.
Lucylee...my son developed the same rash. It was gruesome to look at. It was all down his neck and belly. I tried every home remedy and still it wouldn't improve. I felt like a horrible mom. Out of desperation I tried the OTC hydrocortisone 1% cream and within 12 hours it began to clear up. Then I felt even worse cause the cream was sitting in my bathroom drawer while my son had been suffering so. He was only 3 months old when this happened.
I take viatimans in the morning. I put fish oil and baby asprin in mya dogs breakfast bowls so I just get mine while I fix their dishes. I usually don't gag when I swallow pills, but vitamins will do it to me every time. I've discovered that swallowing my pills with something warm like coffee tea or even warm water does the trick. I have no reason why...
Back to watching tennis... I'm gonna be bummed if I loose this post too !

Re: Take a moment to breath Sunday
Thanks for the tips on the rash, Harriet & Cowinkie. I will tell ds & ddil. I don't see why the doctor would not approve for a baby -- she's already given him cortisone cream and another rx cream -- starts w/an N -- nystatin? Something like that.
I'm going to keep that in mind for myself, too! I still have such a problem w/excema (sp?) on my hands -- periodically -- it's not an every single day crisis, but when it flares up, ooohhh... it drives me crazy.
We've been to church... baby dedication for baby who was 8 months old! Made dh feel better about ds & ddil waiting so long on dgs's service, LOL. And this baby was a BIG 8 month old, too. GD of dfamily friends. Good to see a lot of those folks visiting this morning.
I need to slice some tomatoes for dh. I hate peeling & slicing tomatoes.
Be safe, blessed!
