Just checking in whilst I eat my lunch..... Round One took forever as I sat and watched and episode of Downton Abbey. I am still watching Season 2, trying to catch up to the present episode. Whenever that might be, lol.

Dh went grocery shopping and is back already. AND managed everything on the list. He is in surly mood as he is all anxious while waiting to hear on this new job. He was given an offer, which he accepted, but there is one last thing to iron out before its official. He should hear about it tomorrow or Tuesday. He worries himself sick over things sometimes. So he isnt much fun to have around today. I am sending him upstairs to his office for the rest of the afternoon before he makes ME crazy.

Hello everyone. I'm breathing...while I work today!

Lucylee, my gyno told me to use desitin on the red line one can get under the "girls" along the bra line, she says it's usually yeast from moisture; my gfriend said hers said to add a little hydrocortisone to it. That does the trick for me. Nystatin kills fungus/yeast so that with the desitin might work... I tried A& D but that stuff wipes off clean easily and because of that didn't work. Poor little guy! First they have to heal it, then they have to keep the saliva off the skin. Maybe this will stop when he quits drooling.

I am working in my kitchen today. I have 3/4 of that line of cabinets done. I just washed a bunch of glassware...ah, there's the shine! Things get so dusty.

MT your kitchen sounds wonderful. Is your color very deep? I am a creamy yellow in mine.

DH has signed us up to be small group leaders again. I told him he was nuts, but he really wanted to do it, and I left it all up to him and so far he has about 14 people plus us on the list and I told him to quit signing people up! We will try to move around to different houses this time and have each sign up to bring the snack. But I need to get my house back together this week. No more stalling.

And my ladies bible study I signed up for starts this Thursday. I wanted to get more into the Word this year, I can see that's happening!

Talked to a friend I had forgotten who had a hip replacement over a year ago. She was very encouraging and I got the information we needed bout the $, the recovery, the dr., the facility... better than what I read on the internet. After church DH and I sat down and discussed it all. Something is going on this weekend with his hip, he is having a really hard time walking.

Good afternoon everyone! I usually don't check in on Sunday afternoon because I have DD10. However, she is playing games on her kindle (after getting some reading done on it). We tried to get friends to sleepover last night but couldn't get hold of anyone. We also tried for friends to come over today, but same problem. Friday, we had rain, and it is now official: I have a leak in my roof. Saturday didn't go so well either, one of my foster cats had blood in her stool at the cat clinic. Needless to say I am making a 3rd vet trip, most likely Monday. I hope she does not have what one of my previous cats had: chronic intestinal hemmoraging. It eventually killed her, but we were able to keep it in check for about two and a half years before she died. It would, of course, make a foster cat unadoptable. (This would mean she becomes a 'sanctuary cat'. Those belong to the organization, but live permanently with their fosters and are not placed for adoption.) She could also have something completely different and I could be all worried for nothing.

We did make it to church today, where DD was restless, but reasonably well behaved. We ate Chinese afterward. After I type this, I am going to see if there are any movies DD would like to see and run a LOL. After DD goes back to XDH, I need to pick up some stuff for the Barbie dress I have been crocheting (beads, thread).

lucylee: Nystatin is the prescription med for yeast infection. It did not work for DD and me when she and I were passing yeast from breast to mouth and back again. What the doctor told us to try was Gentian Violet, which is the old-fashioned remedy. It worked, but had the side effect of dying skin blue. Not an issue for me, but had DD out and a lady was very concerned because she saw a blue-lipped baby! I had to explain the situation, but thanked her profusely for letting me know, because that is normally time to go to the ER. We got it at Walgreens, but any pharmacy would probably have it. It is not prescription only.

I liked that. I went to the store before heading home. dd younger is taking a nap. dh is vacuuming upstairs.

Harmony.... My mom's friend just had her hip done. She waited till she could barely walk. Now she's mad that she waited so long. My friends mom slipped, fell and broke her hip this fall. They replaced her hip and she's zipping around like crazy. She's 83 btw.

I did the laundry and dusted while watching tennis. Then I got sucked into a movie. Next thing I know my master bed room and bath are done...baseboards and all. Just on a quick break....need to get going before I loose it again.

Elizabeth... If it is a roof leak will your home owners cover it???

This day has zipped by. I got up at 8:30 and we were due at a memorial service at 11 a.m. Didn't even finish reading the paper before I had to walk dogs and get ready to go. Then very long memorial service, followed by late lunch out with friends who had attended the service also. Home and I was so sleepy I had to nap, and just got up!

Dh is pacing and anxious because he can't find my keys that he used last night. I keep telling him to relax and it will come to us. He is on my last nerve about this. DD just called - was in ATL over the weekend and is stopping off here this afternoon on her way home with a friend who attended conference also. And I have a ton to do today that I haven't touched yet today.

PODA for rest of day:
-clean up/straighten up for dcleaning lady tomorrow
-feed dd and friend? May suggest dh make omelettes
-write for temple bulletin, and I have no idea what I am writing this time so need to think on this

YES!! It's time for me to stop and take a deep breathe. It has been non-stop since I rolled out of bed this morning. Made/served breakfast, MPB AM chores on the way to church, LO was on stage with older children (3-4 years older than him) to sing special during worship service, had 3 year old and 6 year old nephews sitting with me during the singing portion of the service then I delivered them to children church. After church we came home and traded vehicles, grabbed gift and then went to birthday party (LO school classmate). It was held at indoor amusement/video/jumping place - LOUD MUSIC - FLASHING LIGHTS EVERYWHERE. After being there for 2 hours going non-stop from one video/action game to another, I was more than ready to leave the noise and flashing lights behind.

LO is down for his nap. I'm going to sit here and pretend I'm not shell shocked.

d lucy... I have to peel tomatoes at the harvest.. I toss them in boiling water for a couple seconds then drop them in cold water. it helps w the peeling.

dh took the car in the rain and sleet to go to barnes and nobles. he cleaned up the dining room table and straightened the house... lovely man.

time for cooking work for the week. chicken soup, and muffins for the week as well.

I still have to do menu planning and money planning and recording but I got my bwp done and checked my calendar

Well, I guess I took a moment or two or two hundred -- to breathe.
LONG NAP. I did not even think about going out to check on dmom & dad's house/mail/etc. It has been rainy and cold all day and I was just exhausted after baby duty all day yesterday.
We have to go to Wmart tonight -- since d?principal changed faculty meeting days to Mondays, dh wants to go on Sunday nights. As sure as we go, chances are, the meeting will be cancelled. But she said we should plan on having one EVERY Monday. Sixteen more Mondays for me. I'm not sure I'll adjust well to being retired... but I think I'll be happy to be done with faculty meetings.

Some progress since last posting. DD and her friend came in before I had even read the paper. They played with the dogs in the yard and dh and I put together supper of grilled cheese, soup from Costco and cantaloupe. Very enjoyable supper and they are on the road again.

Dh has lost my car key - he drove my car when we were out last night and the key cannot be found. At least he's not pacing about over it still. The laundry in the washer needed to washed again - towels, which tend sour if left damp too long. I am running them again - very hot water with some borax and vinegar for a rinse.

I mostly finished that round - this time:
-finish reading the paper (finally)
-walk the ddogs
-pick up/straighten up in MBR
-move laundry over to dryer, this will leave washer open for dcleaning lady
-put some thought into what I need to write about for temple bulletin
