My motivation today was that a friend was coming at 8 am to help us paint. So I made sure the counters were clean and my sink shiny last night. This morning we moved furniture and spread the drop cloths and I started cutting in the primer while DH cut in the kitchen color (I decided it is about the same color as a blue agave plant - only darker)
Guess what friend didn't show. She called but I missed the call and she didn't leave a VM.
We painted until about 11:30. DH got two walls with a lot of cutting in done. I was able to get 2 short walls and a long wall primed. The kitchen is looking great.
Tomorrow we have to do the ceiling. Should have done it first but I wanted to get the walls painted behind the fridge and range. We had one wall we can't do as the contractor hasn't finished the decorative wall treatment around the new window. Hope he will do that soon so we can get that wall painted.
Just got a call that I have a meeting in 45 minutes. That will give me enough time to scrape off a couple coats of paint and change clothes. I'm not sure if we will do another round of painting in later afternoon or just work in the mornings when we have some energy.

Lunch served and cleaned up. Multiple meal prep continues.....
After waiting almost a month for a personalize CD that was ordered the end of December, I researched all the people email addy associated with the groups website. I sent a blanket email to them all with the details. I also sent an email to friend that just started touring with the group. He emailed me back and said he talked to group manager and I should be seeing some action within the next hour. I certainly hope he is right.

SMH.
Since we continue to be in exceptional drought status, the chance of rain is welcomed. However, I just saw the weather predictions that show that I will be driving through the middle of a thunderstorm tomorrow. On the same roads that hasn't received any moisture in so very long that they will be super slick as the road build-up of oil mixes with the rainwater. On the same road that we flipped end over end 4 times because of the car hydroplaning. Hum....reminding myself that the chance of it happening the 2nd time are extremely slim. I don't want to cancel my trip because it **might** rain.
Taking a deep breathe....
I can do this.

Re: Motivated Monday
Oh my, OK. . .
There are clumps of mist occasionally moving across our yard as the snow is evaporating - or something - in the soupy mess of today. We might get a thunderstorm tomorrow.
I got distracted earlier so didn't get as much done. Still, I have:
x done a.m. routine - except for making the bed
x done 2 lols; 2nd load needs to be folded and put away
x picked up dd14
x finalized coffee date with a dfriend tomorrow
x emailed Th. dinner crew to cancel; I'll be out driving dd14's synchro team to their meet Th. from 4 - about 10 pm. Dh will have just gotten back into town and he is swamped at work anyway
x finalized dd14's sewing lesson tomorrow afternoon
x gotten details re: family for whom I'll be making a meal Wednesday; she is in my moms group small group. Baby #2 was born last week!
x read more in my book
x prepped more cards for the mail
x finished meal plan and groc. list for the week
Now, I'm off to the groc. store. Then, I'll do a little Hebrew and maybe read more in my book before heading out to Heb. class.

Re: Motivated Monday
Ran a few errands. Yesterday dhs good glasses, as opposed to his work safety glasses, were on the counter. I moved them and a nose pad and the tiniest screw ever, were laying there. I found the little eyeglass repair kit that dd1 had given me. With my lack of dexterity, it was a bust. So today I took his glasses, my last pair of glasses and sunglasses that I can still wear, plus my newest pair and went to the eye drs. office and they fixed his glasses and adjusted mine. I needed to buy gas for the SUV. It was windy, 34mph with 45 mph gusts. It still needed done as it as sitting on almost E. I had intended to get it Friday but by the time I could it was 4 pm. You do not want to be anywhere near any place that sells gas after 4pm, especially Friday thru the weekend. I did 2 other quick errands and I am home. It is around 70 but with blowing dust, it isn't fit to be out in.
Yesterday dh and his motorcycle buddy rode to a neighboring town. Dh really enjoyed being on his bike.
Tomorrow is suppose to be rain or snow and 44. I have some more errands that I will probably have to do. I'll try to get out in the am before any moisture starts.
Dd2s diva night went real well. More women came that hadn't reserved but she had room for them. They all requested that she do it monthly.
We were planning on going out to dinner tomorrow night. Think I will double check with dh, so that I can fix something if he'd rather not get out in cruddy weather. Although there are 2 places we can't decide between and we like both, so we will probably go anyway.
Guess I will get off here for now. Dd2 kept the little girls home today, so she could enjoy them. They will be coming anytime to pick up the boys.
Both dgds16 have the same teacher for a class and she passed away. She had had cancer 2+ years ago and beat it. Then she was diagnosed with a different kind. She is single and 40ish. Both girls are taking it hard. At that age, you just don't expect to lose a teacher.

Re: Motivated Monday
Safe travels, OKay.
Went to post office.
Went to library, closed for some repair or something. Very disappointed. I need to feed that reading addiction.
Went to health food store looking for specific vitamin and a couple tinctures. Still looking.
Dropped big bag of glassware decluttered at GW.
I've washed all around the kitchen, on top of the cabinets and cleaned everything that's up there, about 7 bottles, 4 baskets, big clear urn of seashells, painted cookie jar. I washed the crown molding up at the ceiling as I went around. That's always a long job to do, up and down off the ladder; I have 9' ceilings. And I go slow and very carefully. Several more things to throw away or put in recycle.
I could not face emptying the pantry as I knew it wouldn't be finished before dinner. I must start that early one day.
LOL hanging up outside.
I guess that's it for today so far.

Re: Motivated Monday
What with taking the day off yesterday and a long nap today, I missed the chance to get the library's sale money to the bank. They closed at 4. I've been trying to get our home chores caught up, and just couldn't get all the change counted, checks signed and copied, and the deposit slip written out in time.
Oh well, that means I don't need to put on makeup today to go out in public. I can still Email the committee with the amount, it doesn't need to be in the bank before I do that.
It will be nicer to go run errands tomorrow anyway. Forecast high of 50 (which is very warm for January) and rain tomorrow. Then it will drop back on Wednesday to 20 (and probably very slippery), and 10 on Thursday. Must get my grocery shopping list together tonight so I can make that stop tomorrow, too.

Re: Motivated Monday
Very busy at work today and tomorrow promises to be the same. Unsettling temple email from a committee chairperson that jumps in w/o thinking sometimes. I still need to write for temple bulletin tonight.
Tomorrow promises to be a long day....working, possible committee meeting (which I may skip at 6 p.m.) followed by an event that I need to attend at 7 p.m. Am planning to work at least M - TH this week - will see about Friday once payroll tax returns due on Thur are all reviewed and out the door. (I am currently the point person on reviewing these, and one client that we still need to do has more than 1,000 W-2s.)
I think I mentioned how frustrated I was with dh rattling around the house yesterday looking for my car key. So far it hasn't turned up, and I'm using an extra that doesn't do the remote unlock from the key. (How does one lose a car key after one has driven home in the car?
)
Anyway, moving on to writing, then to walk ddogs, then to bed on the early side perhaps.

Re: Motivated Monday
Hi everyone! DFosterCat has been to the vet and returned home. She had an anti-parasite pill and was sent home with colitis (inflammation of the colon) meds. She does not need to be kept isolated from the others (she hated that) and is excused from the adoption clinic Saturday. At payroll, I have read and commented on two docs and organized some emails. I also found out that my W2 form bounced in the mail! Apparently the accountant had my old address. It is being resent to the local office, so soon I can do my taxes. DD10 was sick today and XDH kept her home. She will need to stay home tomorrow because of the 24 hour rule and she will be with me. Fortunately, her last time in my house was good, and we hope to have a repeat.
I am leaving payroll after I type this. First, I will get the materials for the Barbie dress, so I can work on it tonight. Then I will get something to eat, I am ravenous! I intend to work on the LR tonight, starting with moving DD's Christmas toys to her bedroom. Unfortunately, I don't really have a good place to put them in her BR, I need to buy some shelves. If she would just get rid of stuffed animals, a whole closet would open up!
