LynLee - I love the quotes, have a wonderful night.

I woke up at 4:30 this morning because it was cold in the house... I can't wait till I get my tax refund and can get 150 gallons of kerosene rather than doing this whole 10 gallons at a time crap.

DS14 has to be at the Governors School by 7:45 for the entrance exams (say a few prayers for him please). So we are all up, well DS20 is up to go get kerosene. I am going to hang out at my office and do homework. When I get home I have to do my taxes.

Hi everybody!

Today is laundry day. Because I haven't done it in so long, I just sorted into 3 piles. Whites, darks (entirely black) and Mike.

His laundry gets the "sensitive" detergent and no dryer sheets. (He has severe sensitivities to soaps/detergents/scents.)

We also have a derby game to go to tonight. Dd isn't skating, but it's the season opener. CN Power (rep team) is playing.

Dh is sleeping and I want to go out for breakfast (I'm absolutely craving a toasted western) and return an overdue library book.

Cathy - What is a "toasted western?" I have found a site where she has a recipe for all kinds of cleaning products especially Laundry stuff. I found it because I am broke and trying to save money anywhere I can, but a lot of her stuff is natural and great for people with sensitivity. Here are some links for her laundry stuff Here is a link for her Fabric Softener that you can even use on towels... I LOVE IT! I used Lavender Epsom Salts rather than the Crystals and it is fabulous!!! I even found a recipe for natural Antiperspirant / Deodorant that I can't wait to try out.

I am at the office, the traffic was so horrible around the school that I just dropped him off and left. So far I have checked my work email, checked my poor little pay-stub, and partially updated my time-slip for this pay period... I had over 2 hours overtime this last week... I don't even want to see my mileage. Going to g oogle a few things and then need to get on my homework.

In process of getting ready to leave for the day (about an hour & a half away). DD, dh and I are all going. They're playing in a euchre tournament (mostly folks from up home). I just can't sit there all day and play so am hoping not to be called upon. GD is going to stay with a friend/co-worker of dd's.

Worked at church by myself yesterday. Was having a time with the copier but realized later it was only with the plain paper. The bulletins copied just fine. So it has to be the weight or perhaps the moisture in the regular paper.

DH has been quite sick with a cold -in bed for 2 days. But he slept much better and coughed much less last night (= more sleep for me! :? ). I've been giving him
M ucinex F ast M ax. since yesterday morning. My throat started feeling it about 4am but am better this morning.

Still waiting to hear some more news on my dsis. Feel like we're out in left field. Dnephew will let me know as he thinks to call me I guess. I can't call and get info from the nurses and can't talk to her as she can't talk or express herself, or even understand. Dnephew wasn't even sure, the last I talked to him, that she would recognize who I was.

Thank you Lynlee for opening up for us up here.

Slept well, and need to get rolling. DD still sleeping but we are getting toes done at 11:30. Between now and then I need to do a.m. routine and get things well underway for today, tomorrow and the busy week. I suspect I'll be working next Saturday so I want to feel good about this one.

Possible complication - I just noticed we are getting sleet outside and it is 26 degrees. Wishing I could stay in now, but I really need a pedicure for the shoes I am wearing tonight.

First round:
-go check in with dd
-clear kitchen counters asmuch as possible, with the big stack of papers I have going
-breakfast
-meds for me and ddogs
-check supplies of heartguard for ddogs

On treadmill today. Knees aren't better but I can't put off exercising any longer if I want to continue on weight loss (which will eventually help the knees, although the irony is that when I weight 8 lbs more, they didn't bother me.)

Was up late, finishing the difficult account which wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Fewer entries and almost all were straightforward. It was depressing work, though, since we lost so much money last year and I can see how it was avoidable in many cases. If I was actively managing the account, we would have broken even.

I still have a couple of small accounts to update, they are the sort that I do annually since they don't have securities, but are just cash and interest.

Then I need to draw up a better investment plan. I'm smart enough to do it, just lazy. Dh is in a panic asking me if I had to do all that I did or could I just rely on the statements from the broker. Well, neither the broker or Quicken are reliable so I guess we could just rely on the broker statements but there were three mistakes that I found by reconciling. Just like with the credit card, the hard work is worth it when you find mistakes.

Today will be a rushed morning, since I started late and then had to wait my turn on the treadmill. While waiting, I tidied our bedroom, put away laundry, got two more loads ready to run and cleaned our bathroom. My clothes are laid out for the day.

In an hour I'm leaving to help my senior friend out. Between now and then I need to s2s (shaving everything), light therapy, breakfast, and make up a meal plan for February and grocery lists.

We've got snow now, but not the scary stuff so the driving will be OK.

Toasted Western is a western omelette on toast. Eggs, onions and ham. It's a truck stop/coffee shop kind of breakfast.

I finally returned the library book.

Dh is still sleeping.

Done, also called vet for more Heartguard, boiled 4 eggs, and packaged up my plain quick cook oatmeal in single serve portions with dried cranberries and a little slivered almond. I really don't care for the commercially packaged, sweetened oatmeal.

We need to be out of here in a hour or so.
-Take out kitchen garbage
-get dressed, etc. (s2s later)
-walk the ddogs
-start a lol
-make the bed
