Hello! I'm finally here. Today doesn't feel very different from a weekday -- except I did get to sleep in a bit.

Done:
x a.m. routine -- except for laundry
x dd14 to oboe lesson 10 - 11
x dd14 to synchro
x postal box to put some cards in the mail
x brunch at home with dh; we chatted which was nice

so, I'll be heading out again soon at 1:30 to pick up dd14. I also need to go to the groc. store. This is the first Saturday of 2013 that we haven't had small group or some other event going on -- so I actually need to cook a meal tonight! :) What a concept!

I hope ds14 aces those exams, scattered!

I don't think I've yet congratulated nancy and dgs on the spelling test!! WTG!

I hope the Harriet family is enjoying the visit from the younger family!! I think I remember pink eye for your DD?? I hope the drops work quickly. --And late congratulations to dd14! I think I remember she was very excited about something on her report card, so I assume congrats are in order. And that is amazing about the mid court baskets!! Is she considering girls basketball?

I'm enjoying hearing the progress in MT's home.

Hi blessed! We're also getting some lazy flakes here and there, but no huge dumping of snow.

Thanks for another great start, Lynlee.

Hi Sadie!

Hi to others whom I'm not keeping track of well - Harmnoy ~ Dee ~ CathyS ~ Kathryn. .. .

I'm off to start laundry and get groc. list finalized before heading out to pick up dd14.

Pictures up on my blog and FB of the remodeling. We have one wall to go in the LR, but had enough to post on the blog.

Where is J & C on this site? I've looked a few times but I can't seem to find it.

I LOVE the improvements you're making, MT!! What a sharp looking house! I really like the kitchen countertops too. I can't wait to see the living room finished. I like the bamboo shades too! Enjoy your day of rest.

Dd14 is home now and I'm heading out to the groc. store.

The part of the visit here in my house is not going well. My ddad is very confused. So I'll be at my parents' house for the rest of the day, probably. HRH will stay here.

Cathy, the first word is "sharing". If you still don't see it ask again to let the other mods know.

I'll be back this evening.

Cathys There's a PM for you.

Had a good time out with my senior friend. She was tired at the end of it, though. She asked that I drive her to a larger grocery store because she wanted flowers for her ddil and they had a nice display for $25. That store is the same brand as the one by the bank we were at, but it is bigger, wider aisles and larger selection. I'm glad we went because it was also empty which made the experience much more relaxed.

Got home around 2 and made up some lunch for myself, did more devotions and generally relaxed.

I'm now trying to think what my next task will be. I still have to do a meal plan for the month, starting with tonight!

Finally got to the gym!! Only got to jog for 25 minutes though b/c they close the gym at 6 on Saturdays. I should have gone a tad earlier. . . I also did go to the groc. store, put everything away, visited with ds who is here until after dinner. He's considering changing his Latin class class to P/F; he feels a bit behind (it's a 300 level class - that's what he tested into) even though he did very well on the last 2 quizzes, both As. . . He hasn't looked at Latin since last May, and the class is full of classical language majors and a mix of lower and upper classmen and even 1 grad student. He is a little concerned about the upcoming exam. Maybe he'll take the exam and see how he does. He still has time to decide on the P/F -- and this is an elective class, though he was thinking about a Latin minor. Maybe that will change. He has talked about other minors too. .

Dh has started the pasta. I did start the breadmaker this afternoon so we have fresh parmesan bread to go with our shrimp pasta in a tomato wine sauce! I'll make a salad too.

Waving from Sunday.

I missed my target of lights out in LR last night as I found a channel some movies ... Dishes were washed and computer off by 10 though so got that part done. movie finished at 10.30ish so plans weren't totally derailed. Changed my sheets after as I'd missed a week or maybe 2. And love to have fresh sheets aligned with a fresh towel. Unpacked a gift radio CD player for Christmas Birthday to my bedside. My BR Light out at 12. It was difficult to sleep so decides I need get organised to have my relaxation tapes and cds back in my bedroom. that has happened this morning. The load of linens is washing now.
I swapped the player into the LR, and brought the one that plays cassettes back to my bedroom as I have some good tapes. Including some with 10 min relaxation sessions so they are great for last minute switching off of my brain... though its been a while since I listened. They may be more for building focus and get up and go. Maybe they will be magic and will do both.
Cleaned the old player, the cds etc, cleaned out a drawer in the bedside, Divied up the CDs for bedroom and lounge room use.

DM rang this morning just as I was wanting to go otd to church. She is visiting her home to check things while dbro and/or? dsil mow her yard. She said her things are still at dbro's motorhome. I'm hoping that she may rethink her decision of where to move when she is too old for alone on the farm. (84 now) It would be easier if she moved to near dbro. Though the river is between them and the main city there so I'm not sure where. That would just be a problem during massive flood time. They helped with dsil's parents during their final years there, though I'm not sure they are endorsing the aged care place they used. Maybe. Its not all so different, and everything costs more money than expected.
She had loved going with her dgd to pick up dggs from prep. A big country school with 4 prep classes.

Harriet - It must have been another flood - 2011 I think - Someone said they put a goat upstairs in the bedrooms when there was a flood - though I never heard of the result of that one... Thinking the goat would eat what it could. Though - with either hens or goats or dogs - I guess I don't know how furnished the rooms were as a bedroom. This time suddenly a decision was taken of mandatory evacuations for all living on northside of Burnett R at bundaberg so many were caught out. 30 houses were swept off their foundations. With the tornados from around there - report of a house - the shell was there - the roof and everything from inside was sucked out.

Harriet - Praying for you, your ddad and family.

I need go sort out breakfast prep, then the washing will want out.

waving to helia. 25min jogging is better than none so glad you got there.
Just begin.
