Most of my doings today are on yesterday's thread.

Washing is in and away.
I had a rest today with a musical cd in the LR. I think it will work well to have things set out in this new way. Radio on in the morning.
Visit to shut in friend. Prayers for a pending decision on where to live.
dinner is cooked and eaten. Dog is fed and had been out and in.

Still to do - dishes.

Lynlee, I'm glad you are safe and sound where you are at. How often does weather like this happen? It sounds really awful.

There are rumblings here at the frequency of proclaimed likely 100 year disasters. 2 year intervals is wearing many thin - the Lucky ones? have just had times to rebuild since the last one. Its happened with both cyclones in the north, and floods in some rivers.
Some rivers have been at record levels - The Burnett at Bundaberg - though a lesser flood was 2 years ago.
There have been times when rivers have flooded 2 or 3 times in as any weeks - weather is a fickle creature.
Then sometimes floods are decades apart.

Wow, that flood sounds serious, lynlee. Is it the Murray River? Dd17 did a project on that river for school when we were in Australia.

These are east coast rivers in Qld helia. Though the NSW east coast ones can be notorious for flooding too.
The Murray is our Mississippi for length thru the continent. In recent years it has flowed thru to the sea a few times. The debate of water usage continues. The feds have taken it over and set up special commission to try and rule it.
And rivers have flowed into Lake Eyre almost yearly in recent times. Thats most unusual.

This morning I will start my duties as Deacon at church. Since today is Communion Sunday, I will help set up the trays. Also start the coffee and tea and set up the goodies table for after church.

We are taking a rest today from painting. I might paint the trim boards out in the garage as I can sit and do that vs. climbing up and down to ladder to do the trim pieces. We should be done with everything by Monday night.

I will have Tuesday to clean the floors, etc and then Dcontractor will be back on Wednesday to finish trim and a few other jobs. My blinds come Wednesday so we can install them and the furniture and other decor on Thursday and sit back and enjoy.

Lynlee- Thank you for a great start!

I have dragged myself out of bed this morning. There is a virus going around. I came down with it and within hours so did LO. We have been laying around since it hit us on Friday. My body is beat up and I still feel like crud but I have had my limit of laying around. I have been down for about 36 hours and my back is screaming NO MORE! I am going to s-l-o-w-l-y get some things done. I think it will be better for my body than just laying there. I absolutely know it will be better for my mental heath!

Good morning, everyone! Up, s2s, breakfast done and meds. Have dh's clothes laid out for church. DD just came in to tell me she's not going to church -mainly because of gd.

DH, dd and I went to Parrish, FL yesterday for a Euchre tournament. I really did not want to play and ended up doing it anyway. Made it through the day -and way too much eating. Bad spot in the day was that one person from our campground went into a rage about something he perceived dh did during one hand????? We were all pretty incredulous! I think this person thought that dh's partner was playing a 'loner' and that wasn't the case as dh played each round. Made things pretty uncomfortable for everyone. And we were all (inwardly) shaking our heads. I had heard over the past few years that this person had a real hot temper, but I'd never seen it -until now. Actually, dh had done nothing wrong at all. Yikes!

DH seems somewhat better today. I'm clearing a little bit of clogged chest and hope I'm not starting.

Yesterday's routine was disrupted so I'm not quite sure where I am today.

Yesterday I set my alarm for the wee hours o' the morn to get up and watch DSis online presentation at a fund raiser for children's cancer. (It was a 24 hour event and she volunteered for the middle-of-the-night time slot because she's used to working weird hours and being on call overnight.) Unfortunately, I only got to see her opening remarks and a couple of minutes of her slide presentation telling DNiece's story. Then they had technical difficulties at their end and lost the internet connection. I was able to txt DSis and tell her she looked wonderful, and she replied that we'll get together after she's back home so I can see the rest of the slide show.

So I was wide awake a few hours before dawn and did some quiet jobs. Finally went back to bed for a couple of hours. Then I had to get up and out the door to volunteer at the library to finish a job I'd started Friday, and that took from 11 to 2.

(Didn't I say I had planned to cut back on working for other people this month? I did turn down 2 requests from other places last week, that's proof that I'm physically capable of saying no .... sometimes )

We had a very late lunch then at a local diner, under new ownership so DH wanted to see if their menu had changed. The rest of the afternoon and evening were back to more normal weekend schedule.

So far today I've dealt with a long list of Emails about sewing group and library group business, and a couple of loads of laundry. Not sure what DH has planned for the day, he'll be sleeping awhile longer. If he has projects to do in his mancave, I can finish clearing and reorganizing my office closet.

Bright wonderful sunshine greeted me this morning.

While making coffee and breakfast this morning I listened to Joel Osteen's podcast. It was an older one about changing the channel in our minds to pleasant memories instead of negative ones that we tend to cling to.

Yesterday at work I stickered lots of price changes in between taking phone calls. Lots of good bargains for winter clothes.

Need to finish up my shopping tonight too. Have been price matching from different stores and I break it up. Price match a few things from each store each evening I am there. Easier for me and the cashier.

Kitchen is a bit messy, Dson17 did some kind of cooking spree for him and DH. Hopefully they will clean it up today.

Off to the shower and then work.

((Mr. DeeClutter)) Was the partner able to explain to the person, finally, to his satisfaction, or did he go away still believing he had been wronged? It is a terrible feeling to be suddenly accused during a happy game. I remember being accused of looking at the answers to questions in a trivia game once, because my opponents refused to believe I knew the name "Machiavelli". They said I hesitated in pronouncing it, therefore they "knew" I must have read it and was cheating. I remember that the game was completely ruined for everyone in the group, and so was the afternoon, really, and we never wanted to play with that couple again.

I had pancakes for breakfast - totally out of nutritional character, lol. But grandboys were happy.

Yesterday dd and I went ahead later in the afternoon and got the pedicures - this is the lady that worked at the old place who has opened her own place that is close to where we live now. I lounged some the rest of the afternoon and dh and I were out last night. Yes, Harmony, lots of women including me in open toed shoes with bare legs last night, but it was only an issue getting out of the car and getting back in as we valet parked. Exhausting evening - long cocktail hour, four course dinner, live auction that went on forever and then dancing which was great. Good dance music.

Today I am going to hang around home and dread tomorrow. Would lie to (again) get upstairs pulled together some and get the desk in boxes that is in the DR upstairs.

Waving to everyone there is not much going on here so far today. Sunday is shaping up to look like this. I'm up, have fed the chickens. 32*-50* Today's temp range. I HAVE to cut h's hair so it's way past time his boss has been commenting on it so have to put things on hold until that is done. Had a dinner to prep. for and he slept in yesterday so things did not go as planned and did not get it done yesterday. Sigh So do not think we will make it to church.

When I was stretching this morning my hip / lower back popped back in place I think it seems better yea for that! Some arm exercises done.

I have made coffee and done my journal entry today mostly about what dd & sil said about their trip. They had fun look rested and tan but dd was wiped out by eight I think they are still adjusting to the diff. time zone here. One of the guys that works for them is getting married in Vagas this summer and they are going ~ a place they said they would never go back to so never say never was some thing that came to mind! LOL!
