LynLee - Good evening, thank you for the wonderful quotes this morning.
Yesterday I came home from work an hour early and went to bed with a headache, I ended up sleeping for 3 hrs before waking up to find DS20 making dinner. Both DS14 and I had gone to bed with headaches so it was nice to wake up to DS20 making dinner. I then went to bed a little before midnight and feel much better this morning. I have a long day ahead of me so hopefully I can keep the headache away.
Need to get going, as I need to leave early this morning.

Have a meeting at church at 9:30 and a birthday lunch with dsisil & her 2 sisters at noon.

Good morning! I have a haircut at 10 this morning and need to get to Tar-jay and the groc. store as well. I should finish the new Year cards - I never got to them yesterday. 
Not that many left. . . And it is towel/bedding washing day as well.
I have: said good bye to the girls, let dog and cat out, let dog and cat back in, emailed small group re: meeting this Saturday, made tea, which I am still sipping.

I'm in "fake it to you make it" mode. I have to keep going so I might as well pretend that I feel like it.
LO had a paper sent home from school about Tee-ball sign ups. The paper says the requirements are to "not be 6 years old by Jan 1, 2013". However it doesn't say what the minimum age requirement is. I know LO will want to play with his classmates, but I don't know if they will allow a 4 year old to play. I need to track down the answer to this before LO gets his hopes up.
The alarm to wake LO up just went off.....And the day begins in earnest.

Thinking of our ((village sick folks)) today! Hope the road to recovery is smooth!
The dreaded phone calls yesterday were made - at least I didn't put it off and worry about making them any longer. But they brought on more stress, really. Now I have an additional appt for my ddad for which both HRH and I will need to be available. And the nurse there has to have me hold her hand through every step, thinking my ddad is a new patient, then questioning me on my understanding of his prescription because their records didn't show the changes last time, all kinds of misinformation to correct. With my confidence in the doctor already low from past experience, this entire office has lost credibility in my eyes.
And my call to a farther-away cousin who needs me to keep tabs on things here, both practical and emotional/family, was long. She expressed to me the things she needed to, about responsibilities she has taken on and work she's smoothed out for the family's sake - she needed someone to hear her on those subjects. I agreed to accept the next round of responsibilities and get more work done, volunteering others as well, yipes. This has to do with jobs like overseeing the storage of furniture until those intended to inherit can accept it, dealing with bureaucracy on behalf of elderly family, etc. Also there are those we worry about who need checking-on and she's farther away than I am. There was much to talk about regarding family illnesses as well.
Today I need to get my ddad's truck inspected, go by the copy shop, go by pharmacy #1. Dd has a big test today so put off a project that will take all her attention tonight. She gets extra credit for color in her presentation and our printer has quit printing in color. Sigh. Wonder if the math teacher is ready for watercolor? He may have to be.

I'm going to be late for work, but dMacs earlier went out on our porch and laid down on the couch out there. He looks so happy but I can't leave him out there....must come in. But he looks so contented.
My attitude stinks this morning. It's like I'm in a giant game of Wack-a-mole and they keep popping up. Too many out there to focus on work.

It is RAINING!! My FB news feed is full of joyful posts - all the locals (who are in year 3 of exceptional drought) are celebrating.
We have a chance of receiving 1-2" of snow later today. When I took LO to his class, we were reminded that school might be dismissed early today. Smiling as I imagine northern SHE's shaking their head over us considering dismissing school for the mere possibility of snow.
Eggs are boiled.
Next up - make chicken salad.
