Big ~W~A~V~E~ to Lynlee! What a good description of lucylee last evening, too.

About scattered's message - didn't that turn out to be about the new computer for work?

Emptynester, why are you bruised? Glad you have a good range-of-motion report.

Images of snow surprises- what fun!

Sadie I'm glad you got some snow to match OKay's! That wasn't fair you were left out!

Norma, here's hoping the little falcons have a great start and stay untouched. So you will not have any upheaval about the sale? Just next year be in a different house?

Lilac and BookSaver - reverse wishes for your snow! Hope there's not TOO much!

OKay and Kathryn - my first thought had been that this was the first trip with such a positive report, but I can see that faded! Wondering if the leftovers of the "bug" played into this. Hope LO feels better - does it make him happy to get to see his uncle visit?

Great day of normalcy yesterday. Llllloooove it. But HRH and dd14 both had tough days, and I did have to listen to rants later! I'm trying for another good day. Can't get to the laundry at the normal time because today it is my ddad's linens, and that happens on his own time, but otherwise on track.

Sunny, "some routine action!" :D I like that.

Yay for discovering lost things, Harmony.

 Ya'll, Harmony and Lynlee are getting ahead of us in Organization and Simplification forum! I've got to get over there and get back into PaperTaming before tax time. That's a great thread to restart on Smile Lee's Birthday, Lynlee.

Good morning!
Thanks for your sweet words last night, Lynlee! I really appreciate your reassurance. It's hard not to "second guess" myself on EVERYTHING... but I'm trying really hard not to.

Right now I'm not second guessing... I know good & well that I should be in the shower at this moment -- not sitting here "talking." * sigh * Everything in my head itches &/or runs -- eyes/nose/throat/ears... and I am just having a little trouble getting started. Up till a little past 1:00 a.m. and I have a headache. I know the hot shower will help everything a little bit... but I just couldn't get myself IN it when I first rolled out of bed.
Tomorrow is another day.

LynLee - Good Evening, Sleep Tight.

(((LucyLee))) - Feel Better soon!

I came home last night and took a nap before getting up to work on a Navy Assignment. I was then up late and when I did go to bed I couldn't sleep, so I read until 2 am... 7 am came very early. Today is my long day, work and then school.

Found out that the IT guy who was supposed to be bringing me my new Laptop Tuesday, was bitten by a spider. He is not sure if it was a Black Widow or a Brown Recluse but it looked nasty. He will be bringing it to me on Friday! 8-) :D 8-) Unfortunately I also found out that DS14's Laptop is worse then we thought and are now waiting on a part which might or might not work. The funny part was that he had to come by to finish setting up my VP's new Laptop because she had spilled a glass of wine into the Laptop she had just gotten a week ago... I teased here that she should not C.U.I (Compute Under the Influence).

Well, need to get a move on it... have a GREAT DAY VILLAGERS!

Yesterday it quit snowing for 3 hours or so in the afternoon, so I shoveled snow. Then it started snowing again and has snowed off and on since then. Dh said he will crank up the snow blower when he gets home. I like to shovel for the exercise but I might just let him have at it.

Harriet and Nancy, yesterday at the C hamber of C ommerce breakfast that dd2 went to, there were 2 gals that are starting an event planning business and they did a presentation. The name of the company came from 2 chickens that one of their sons had named.

Better have breakfast and do meds.

Good Morning.

Busy day here - having several couples to help with crafts - not sure if I can keep all of them busy.

Harriet - I bruise easily anyway and have been on aspirin per Dr. orders for several years. When chiro or masseuse work on deep muscle massage - I get very sore and sometimes shockingly purple bruises. Then I have to wait until my body heals for more treatment.

DH is up to go to breakfast with the boys.

Email from friends for a progressive dinner for next Tuesday night. 24 people with 4 stops. I'm doing appetizers at another house as ours is too small for that many people.

Time to move on. TTFN

Good morning dfriends! I'm not sure I can respond to all of you right now since so many have posted.

Yesterday was pretty much a bust for me. I'm just going to say that I needed a vacation day this week - and go with that. My only accomplishments were the a.m. routine, some laundry, got dd17's prescription renewed and picked it up, took dd14 to and from synchro, arranged for get-together with dfriend today, made dinner for the girls + dd17's friend (homemade mac 'n cheese casserole - very yummy and very caloric, so I ate a Lean Cuisine instead), communicated re: thursday dinner tonight, which is not happening after all, finally got to talk on the phone to dh. (He usually calls every day, if only for a few minutes, when he is away -- but he has been so busy this time, he really hadn't had the chance before he got in his car to drive to meet a friend yesterday afternoon. He used the speaker phone to be legal.) I think that is pretty much it. I did bring the garbage and recycling bins back up to the house. I did clean the kitchen after dinner, but that is a standard activity.

SO. . . today. . . I'm going to start with the a.m. routine. Later, I need to run some errands: library, TJ's, pet store - hay. I'm meeting dfriend at her home to walk at 2:30. I think I'll run errands en route to her house and make it one long trip out.

Something is up with my mood. I'm feeling overwhelmed, vulnerable, incompetent and a whole bunch of other, negative, adjectives.

Got the government payroll forms filed for last year. Jumped out of bed this morning in a panic that the deadline was Jan 31. Got the filing done and no-where did it say what the deadline was. After finishing the task, I did a google search and found it was Feb 28, so I made the deadline. If they had not been talking about the deadline for retirement savings contributions for 2012 on the radio, I might have forgotten entirely. Which scares me badly.

Anyway, I feel all sick and shaky inside but will head off for volunteering. The weather is still awful cold here but should warm up to freezing later today. The problem is the wind. And my knee which is not good at all and there are a lot of stairs to get up at volunteering (and I have two heavy bags of books to carry with me.) I can't get dh to help me so will forge ahead and deal with things as they happen.

The sermon is almost 1/3 written but that's because I'm quoting other stuff, not words I've written myself. At least it is a start.

Good morning, villagers ~

(((Kathryn)))

Harriet ~ Thanks for the good wishes. I am not supposed to get as much snow as Lilac, but of course the storm might change course to dump more here. These are the days when I'm glad to have a landline, city water, and a gas stove in case the electricity goes out. We are prepared.

Looks like the storm will hit us later in the day than originally predicted, which is good for both me and DH as we should both be home before the bad stuff starts.

DH said everyone in his department is preparing for a snow day tomorrow in case the roads are too bad for anyone to drive to work. Our public works employees here in Tiny Town are awesome about getting out and clearing the main roads immediately, but sometimes the side road where DH parks his car is plowed last. That means even if he goes out early to shovel a path to his car, he can't go anywhere anyway. DH has not taken many days off, so he has plenty of time accumulated to be able to have a paid day off if he needs it.

My dentist appointment is at 1. The last time I needed a filling was with our previous dentist several years ago.

Last night while cooking a big pot of chili, I also cleared a big section of kitchen counter. That was a nice sight first thing this morning. :)

It's too cold to do much in this week's Focus area Outdoors, but I should clean out my car. I can do that before I take off for the dentist, and the activity will burn off some nervous energy.
